Yes, you can order several tickets per application. I believe the maximum is four, though I may be wrong on this. You have to write the names of the applicants and bring some ID with you as well, so tickets can’t be scalped.

You can make one application at a time and it’s tied to a phone number. Not sure if they are tied to the Nintendo account too; sorry about that, I wasn’t paying attention to that when making my application.

No, that is referring to your window for entry, not how long you can stay. Basically, if you have a 10:00-10:30 ticket and you arrive at 10:45, they won’t let you in.

Haven't watched the video as i want to go in fresh. I work in Kyoto City and used to live there before moving to my current location; it is a formerly wonderful place that has sold itself out to tourism and is now pretty much unbearable for anyone old and grumpy enough to remember what it used to be like. I have visited Uji before, I'm sure the residents there are dreading how things will change over the next year.

Anyway, I have applied for my tickets - planning to take my four-year old who is starting to show an interest in my games collection and loves Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, and the Pikmin characters - so will keep my fingers crossed.

I’m sure I read somewhere that the reason Tingle was relegated from mainline entries was the perception that American audiences hate him, something obviously not helped by that ridiculous IGN campaign.

I'm enjoying it, but there feels like there is a lot of areas for expansion in the concept. It feels like half a product at the moment.

Not criticizing those who collect - and I’m lucky in that I can afford it all - but I just don’t need a big box of stuff I don’t want just for the sake of “muh collection”. Being near 40 and having a daughter now played a big part in it all but, yeah, this is the one that broke me on collecting.

But how else would people get those yummy online notifications and reactions that they need to feel validated in their opinions?

The only thing that really matters is a consistent framerate, in my opinion. Never really understood the whole frames-per-second obsession some seem to have; I guess I’m lucky it makes no difference to me.

Very little modern mainstream cinema is any good, so I have little to no reason to expect Zelda to be any different. I’lll pirate it out of curiosity of how they handle the material, but I have no expectations of it being as good as even Legend.

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you might make a game that’s higher than a 4/10 for the first time in 20 years.

N64 is my favourite console ever (a lot of which is, admittedly, rose-tinted specs and nostalgia) but it’s hard to care about this one, other than it means people who want to play it don’t have to pay the frankly offensive second hand market prices to do so.

Going to buy this and Mario on the same day next week, like a good 90s boy.

Kyoto is less than an hour by train from Osaka so it’ll be easy if you want to go.

As an addendum: the store is in Takashimaya, which is directly above the Kyoto-Kawaramachi stop on the Hankyu line (which is the last stop), so you won't even have much inconvenience in getting to it from the station.

I work in Kyoto so will find time to pop into this at some point.

On topic, will this be told from a British perspective or a more general one?

I still have my original CIB edition, which I bought for £10 second hand back in 2005. Great to see it being made more widely available, as going back to check my old save file recently I discovered I never actually finished it! Maybe now is the time.

I luckily picked up a physical copy of Sutte Hakkun when it was merely expensively, rather than offensively, priced. It’s a great game that deserves a wider audience.

I’m lucky in that I can speak and read Japanese, but this is a truckload of nonsense. This is a relatively expensive service for what users get, and to not even bother to do some relatively simple translations is just reflective of Nintendo’s attitude to content on the online service.

Relieved about this. My primary irritation with the trailer I saw was the flower dialogue. Not interested at all in that kind of thing.

I'm guessing this is exactly what it is. Without actual sales figures we can't say for certain, but given that the highest new entry this week is at #11 it's more a case of other games tailing off and MK8DX remaining consistent.

I wish the UK would release exact sales figures like the Japanese charts do.

Surely there’s enough “wa-hoo”s and “ya-ha”s in the recording vault now they could just reuse old recordings. It’s not like it’s much is a spoken part.

I’m not aware who this gentleman is, as I don’t follow the industry side of gaming, pretty hard to be excited by the activities of a PR guy.
