@DragonEleven Yeah I agree I don't trust rumors either. Forgot to add in my comment "if this rumor is true." But whatever, there will be something appealing to play at launch anyway.
There isn't anything wrong with that statement imo. Considering what happened with Wii U is obvious. I plan to buy the Switch day one and give it a shot. The only EA game I play is Battlefield 1 which i already own on Xbox One. So if EA doesn't get involved at all then I still wouldn't care.
Short supply demand strategy. Too bad the scumbag scalpers take advantage of the opportunity. But I'll wait until Nintendo sends enough to purchase. Meanwhile, I'll keep a look out for the Switch reserves.
Thanks to the many scalpers out there. Because of them I couldn't find the NES to have fun with it. People on eBay right now trying resell it for thousands of dollars.. smh
Lol Nintendo sure doesn't comment on rumors regardless of what it is, true or false. They simply just make their own statements. Oh well... Farewell to the Wii U half-baked potential. Just let it be.
"Target users" Considering that Revelations didn't sell as good on Wii U as it did on PS3/360, I highly doubt the Switch will get a Resident Evil game. The Switch is more likely to get a Monster Hunter or whatever the "Target User" buys. But RE7? I doubt it. But if the get it surprisingly at launch then I'll buy if it's not butchered or chopped and screwed.
Wow!...
I always appreciate good spirit filled desires, hard work and dedication. I enjoy simple gaming. Iwata seemed like he was a very cool guy and fellow gamer. So, much gratitude to Nintendo as a whole. To this day out of all the Nintendo systems I played since NES, the SNES and GameCube is where I had the most fun so far. Hopefully the Switch will be more like a reboot to Nintendo.
Interesting and expected considering the numbers regarding 3DS. "Wii U on life support" lol. No... Wii U is just getting the last few Hallmark Cards out of the way.
I didn't think they would. It's a complete package as is regarding the Switch screen and Dock. It's logical to think that the Switch Pro Controller will be sold separately.
Seems as though Nintendo gets flamed the most about something that every company does. Do people get this upset and hashtag their emotions when Wendy's runs a commercial ad about their Junior Bacon Cheeseburger not being as big and juicy upon order in person as to what it appears to look like on t.v.?
Wow What's worse for some people is the fact that they didn't even acknowledge the message at the end of the video.
Nintendo gets slandered about this stuff all the time. But Sony and Microsoft does the same thing on bigger stages (E3) and nobody says negative things towards them about it. Although, UBISOFT got hammered for that first Watchdogs game not living up to the first trailer for it too.
You would think that more of us gamers would know something like this. It was more of a "concept teaser trailer" on how the Switch functions. That's no problem..
Just observing how the games on the Switch screen were letterboxed goes to show you that the display was copy/pasted or minimize to fit it during the presentation.
Idk. Some people pick things apart for negative reasons instead of embracing the positive message about what the Nintendo Switch is exactly.
@chardir Nintendo couldn't resist lol Judging from the trailer the actors were all young adults (maybe from 21 - 35), some would think they'd stopped trying to treat everyone like children by now. Lol
I wasn't hoping or expecting to play anything from the current on the new system. Kimishima said the NX (Switch) would have nothing Wii related. Plain and simple..
I just look forward to having fun playing whatever that becomes available on the Switch that appeals to me. Might even purchase two at launch, one for my fiance and I. I know she's going to like this system.
There responses give me the impression that they're potential buyers too. I think the investors are following consumers to see the reactions, and in a few months (hopefully) how good the sells could add up. Then perhaps the investors will change their attitudes. Just looking at the reactions to the trailer reveal so far from people all over the world online in blog posts and gaming forums is undeniably more positive than negative.
Ok. Maybe the investor's opinions will change if the system sells well. The Nintendo Switch has potential. Nintendo looks to be speaking more to the consumers than investors with this system so far. It still looks great to me. We'll see.
I like what I saw, and yeah most of all those rumours turned out to be true. That's cool. My only question concerning comfort is those detachable controllers. I have big hands, so, the controller held individually looks a bit uncomfortable. The Switch Pro Controller looks like its comfortable if held but has a very basic look to it (I'm mean generic looking). Gaming on the go is somewhat of an extra for my tastes because I don't play games all day long, but it's the best feature on the Switch. It definitely appeals to me. It's what the Wii U should've been. I'm looking forward to the game list for the Switch next year.
So, it's the Morphus X300 after all!! Lol! Anyway. Yeah, this definitely appeals to me. And I will preorder it whenever it's available to do so at Gamestop.
Cool concept. Simple and to the point even with a "normal controller"! (Its about time)... Good job Nintendo. Thanks for sharing, Nintendolife. I hope everyone else enjoyed the premier preview.
With the way Nintendo keeps things quiet in a slim tolerance attitude you would think they work for the government. They may as well. Just think, their national security would be super strong willed.
Anyway lol back on topic.
I expect this kinda of write-up concerning Nintendo. We can see that Kimishima is the new influence cooperating alongside what Nintendo has always practice to be. They even use internet and social media responsibly. They work within their own corporate rules and do not seem to be controlled by any outside source, not even by investors. They seem to be very self controlled and not intimidated by any social site regardless of the write-up. Imo.
This current story is consistent with what Kimishima said months ago, by saying "we will 'speak' about NX in 2016". Imo it's a strong and straight forward statement. And I don't think Nintendo is willing to actually reveal their new hardware until 2017 before launch.
For the next two and a half months I think we will continue to hear a very slim portfolio of the NX capabilities. Other than that, Nintendo isn't going to say anything, and neither will the 3rd parties that have dev kits and are in close business agreements with Nintendo.
It's a tight lipped situation (literally). People that are complaining will continue to hash tag their feelings about it to no avail.
This is a major part of Nintendo's advertising about their name specifically, and it's by "word of mouth". Acknowledge people speaking about it, and then start up the posters and commercials in stores and so forth. Obviously...
@HyrulianOfHyrule I agree. Not to be negative about it but for the most part the hardcore gamers are going to be the most disappointed. Not casuals though. This new casual audience that Nintendo is preparing to please will accept the NX along with dedicated Nintendo consumers.
@Moon I hear you. But still, Kimishima said he'll speak about NX in 2016. That's any given day now for the next three months of this year. Nintendo is not like Sony or Microsoft who comment on rumors or speculations. I don't blame them...
@Moon
Yeah I agree. And besides, Nintendo President Kimishima said that "he will speak about NX in 2016". Hasn't said anything about revealing it this year. So based on what the most trusted source concerning their own hardware is saying, so far, NX may be revealed in 2017 before launch. The wait is not bothering me as it is towards others. It's not like Nintendo lied or changed their mind concerning NX..
My expectations are kept low. There are a lot of emphasis on rumors and speculations, and it's fun to speculate based on anticipation, but what about Nintendo's President Kimishima and the things he says? Before the history geeks and grammar police try to one up our comments with dates times and actuality's, I just have a comment on what Kimishima said and specifically, that he would speak about NX in 2016 and NX will launch worldwide in March 2017. Imo, I wouldn't be surprised if they (Nintendo) will do just that, speak about NX, but might not actually reveal it until 2017.
Just a thought. Even though we been seeing a lot of rumors with so called trusted sources throwing months out there in speculation of the big reveal. So, cool if they do reveal it soon. If they don't, oh well, they'll reveal it later. We'll see..

Disappointed about Zelda..
Still plan to purchase the Switch, and maybe get Skyrim a try since I haven't played it yet.

This thing is nowhere to be found. Same thing will happen when the Switch is released, but I'm preordering that as soon as GameStop starts the list.
