Re: Japanese Gamers Think Nintendo Switch Is Too Expensive, But Don't Mind Paying For Online Access

YeshaYahu5417

Here we go... lol. Let's see Nintendo's response to this, if they will even give one. Imo I don't think the Switch is too expensive. Maybe a couple of the accessories are questionable. I thought the Pro Controller was expensive until I reconsidered the added tech to like motion controls and the amiibo reader. Idk. I'm humbled. I can afford it.

I can understand the concerns about what the Japanese players (consumers) are voicing though. Nintendo better listen to their home market, and make some changes to satisfy them.

Re: Capcom Has No Plans To Infect The Nintendo Switch With Resident Evil "At The Moment"

YeshaYahu5417

@KidRad
Exactly. And Nintendo knows most of us have other consoles. So, again, I really don't care what 3rd parties say. And it's funny because I mostly play only 3rd party games on Sony or Microsoft systems but not their first party games. Nintendo is the opposite for me, I like their 1st party games. And if 3rd parties make something unique to the Switch that appeals to me then I'll buy it.

Re: Capcom Has No Plans To Infect The Nintendo Switch With Resident Evil "At The Moment"

YeshaYahu5417

That's cool. At least Capcom is delighted about the Switch technology. And besides, a dumbed down version of RE7 for the Switch would get slandered pretty hard anyway.

This maybe a late request but how about those RE Zeros, RE Remake, Revelations 1 & 2 for the Switch? The Remake of 2 would be nice as well on the same day as the other two platforms get theres.

And the possibility of have 5&6 on the Nintendo Switch would be satisfying.

Don't be shady, Capcom...

Re: Soapbox: It's Nintendo's Job To Make Switch A Success, Not EA's, Ubisoft's Or Capcom's

YeshaYahu5417

All that was stated from 3rd parties have obvious valid points. I don't blame them. It does seem like Nintendo has these 3rd parties on a tight leash. As for the players the only ones concerned are the people who want 3rd party games so much, which is fine, to each is own. I don't know if Nintendo is shortsighted as for what 3rd parties are recommending or expecting Nintendo to do. It's not solely based on how many units are sold, it's also based on demand for the particular game title. Nintendo fans mostly buy Nintendo games. That's quite simple.

There is a niche audience who buy into Nintendo hardware and play 3rd party games too. So it's a careful consideration. But also respectable.

Personally I'm expecting Nintendo to deliver their normal ip's as well as new ones. And there is a small handful of 3rd party I actually play, some Capcom games mainly. I don't play EA games. Ubisoft, I may try the next Rayman. Sega, not so much but I look forward to buying the Sonic game, and it would be nice to give Switch a Phantasy Star but that's a long shot. The most 3rd party games I'll play are mostly from the Virtual Console..

Re: Editorial: Pricing Blunders Have Distorted The Narrative Around Nintendo Switch

YeshaYahu5417

Nice article.
There are a lot of people on bandwagons especially when it comes to negative posts or replies about Nintendo. It doesn't bother me because we are only speaking about a game company producing entertainment. I don't embrace entertainment or pick it up to the point where I would imitate it. In my mind "I know to leave entertainment right where it is". This isn't life or death to me, it's just fantasy. So imo it would be pretty silly to defend a perishable object as if life depended on it. I just play games for fun.

As far as negativity and slandering people for playing on a platform of their choosing, in my experience, it's only on the internet gaming sites ( gamefaqs is one). But never in public. When I go to GameStop for example, we speak about games no matter the platform and it's all peaceful. Nobody is threatening or name calling. All this name calling against the players and the developers and saying things like "Nintendoom Sonypony Xbots" is all internet talk by people who are johnny dangerous behind a keyboard starting Efights in one way or another. Even the people who pass by another's comment and want to be the grammar police and history geeks, they are always going to be there. But I don't even feed into it or reply back no matter what the topic or comment is.

I know we all have different opinions. But if you choose not to feed into the goofy things people say then you will have nothing to worry about. Because people will say what they say anyway..

Re: Nintendo Switch Lacks Pack-In Title Because It's $299, Says Reggie Fils-Aime

YeshaYahu5417

Imo I think the unsatisfactory of the Wii U may have been in mind at Nintendo. Not that Nintendo is struggling financially because the U failed to be a profit, but as a business and corporation Nintendo has to make up a loss spanning a four year deficit in their console market. I'm not concerned about Switch marketed as standard without a game. However, those controller prices are questionable, the Pro Controller in particular. I mean, lol, that Pro Controller better be a lifetime guarantee. It better be incredibly good lol! I have yet to hold one until launch day.

The Pro Switch Controller better not be cheap in material at all especially for a 69.99usd price tag. I think the PS4 Controller is too expensive considering how cheap it feels (it feels like a toy), and the analog sticks are cheaply made. Since the PS4 launched I replaced 4 PS4 Controllers so far, something about those left analog sticks that give out easily causing short in connection, making movements studder in the forward/up direction. And I always take care of my things, I don't throw or drop them. It's the most comfortable PS Controller but cheap. I've had no issues with the Xbox One Controller besides connection drops that occur often.

But back on topic. I think 1 2 Switch should be a pack in game to show off the new Joy Con functionality, for the sake there of and for free. But oh well.. Not much of a concern though.

Re: Investors React Negatively to Nintendo Switch Launch Details

YeshaYahu5417

Hmm. Nintendo has the most haters in the video game industry. Investors are acting like fanboys in this case imo.

I'm not complaining about the launch lineup. Starting with Zelda as the most wanted or popular available for launch was done on purpose. At the end of the month we get the new Tetris game. A month after launch we get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Idk at least the launch window for this year is more consistent as we know it for now. Its certain that we will here more news about game releases throughout the rest of the year.

I said this quite a few times but I play games for the fun factor. Nintendo is my personal favorite when it comes to fun factor since the NES days. Back in the 80's before I knew what frames per second was, and before the generation started with the fps was even a demand for a lot of people, I was having fun and still do.

Out of all systems Nintendo made that I experienced the Wii U was the one I sold about thirteen months after launch. The U just did not appeal to me. It was like a big layoff until Nintendo made something better. The whole concept and game lineup for the Switch is acceptable to me. And I look forward to having fun on a Nintendo system again.

I'm not having much fun with Sony and Microsoft this generation. They're quite different from the PS3/360 era. Was never a fan of big cinematic experiences (no offense to people who do dig it), it's just not for me.

Re: Guide: A Breakdown of Confirmed Nintendo Switch Games and Release Dates

YeshaYahu5417

Although we seen somewhat of a cgi trailer of SSB there is no mention of it so far. I hope we get one soon rather it be a port of the Wii U version or an all new one. Maybe a surprise Tekken 7 announcement. Overall I'm not complaining. I'll be playing Zelda, Mario Kart Deluxe, Sonic, Ultra SF for a long time. Haven't played the first Splatoon so I'll check that out too.

Re: Guide: Where To Pre-Order The Nintendo Switch, Games And Accessories

YeshaYahu5417

Lol.. Yeah, this article is more than a day too late (in U.S. time). I was actually the first one at my local GameStop store from 7am Thursday to Friday morning when it opened (24+ hours). GameStop opened up 7 minutes early at 9:53am. There where 8 of us total by the time the store opened. My local GameStop only had 15 total, but Nintendo also allowed a few more preorders to take place Friday and Saturday so far. I wasn't trying to miss out lol..

My Preorders:
Nintendo Switch Grey Joycons
Zelda
Screen Protector w/ Carrying Case
AC Adapter
Pro Controller

Re: Breaking Down the Nintendo Switch Online Service Details

YeshaYahu5417

Well, hopefully we will see how the Nintendo online service holds up in stability. I already experienced Sony and Microsoft's service, and needless to say both of those services are wack and unstable especially considering the whopping 59.99 price tag for a yearly subscription.

If Nintendo's online turns out (or continues in most cases) to be garbage then I'll just meet friends for local competition.

Re: Nintendo's Share Value Plummets Despite Super Mario Run Downloads and Revenue Performance

YeshaYahu5417

Interestingly no one is speaking about the DRM that's attached to SMR. I could just be in the minority to not appreciate that set back imo. But come on.. If I can play Candy Crush offline I should be able to do so in SMR also. 9.99 isn't a bad price at all for the game. I'll remain humble in my opinion that Nintendo is a little shady with SMR. I still respect Nintendo, I just don't respect this restriction..

Re: Random: Kanye West's Potential Album Tracklist is All About the Wii

YeshaYahu5417

I'm not calling bs on this, but based on what this article is about I can't take it seriously. Maybe it's because I don't listen to rap (or any music at all) anymore. Not liking KW is another reason. And yeah I agree, West does do anything to draw attention to himself. He is currently acting like someone is trying to take his life.

Ok. That's enough...

Re: Analyst Firm Notes Hype For Switch, But Worries Nintendo Is "Not Prepared" To Take Advantage

YeshaYahu5417

This is my only concern about Nintendo and the Switch system. They have history of minimal distribution of products. I can honestly see Nintendo doing the same practice with Switch as with the current product NES Classic Edition. It's Nintendo's Tickle Me Elmo..

Scalpers learn about these "short quantity products" all the time. And they don't hesitate to take advantage of the situation of cheating the people who really look forward to playing the new console while profiting in the process.

Once Gamestop opens up that preorder list for Switch I'm on it and paying in full, guaranteeing my purchase upon pick up on release day. No need for camping out or anything extra..
