Annoyed. Didn't get the last couple of games because of this. My kids are now old enough to enjoy the game, so I probably will buy this for their sakes, but they better kill the tag line, "Gotta catch 'em all."

Please review Desktop Baseball Nintendo Life. The Switch has 0 good baseball games on it so far, I need to know if this is one.

I have 0 reasons to actually pay for the service when the free term ends. We will see if Mario Maker keeps me hooked long enough to change my mind

I have turned on that NES app like 2 or 3 times total. Might once for Double Dragon II... but as a whole, the collection is crap, especially if you own a NES Classic.

Thank goodness Twitch gave me a year's membership for free. Though I still feel slightly ripped off.

This doesn't at all seems appropriate for kids. I have a 6 and 4 year old who love Pokemon. The trailer screams like 10+.

Just bad on Nintendo. 100% Nintendo because they greenlit.

I guess the major hope now is that it is somehow better than Super Mario Bros.... but with Ryan Reynolds involved, chances are grim. Better at least be Riff Trax bad.

Street Fighter does not deserve to be on this list. It is campy and watchable. Doom should so be on there though. That movie is hot garbage, much like 90% of what Dwayne touches.

Let's face it though, if you had to do a top 5 GOOD, just 5, video game movies.... could you honestly get to 5?

Shooting off the top of my head:
Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil (which is nothing like the game but it works for entertainment value), Street Fighter... and, OK. I can't get there. I can't get to 5. And these 3 are just watchable movies. None of them are "great."

I have 0 hope for Detective Pikachu, Sonic or Monster Hunter. 0 combined hope. They will be trash. Go in expecting them to be trash. If they pull off better than trash, be happy about it.

The first time we saw a picture of Sonic, it was obvious this movie was going to be God Tier awful.

Just ignore the movie, and let it die a quiet death.

I just got the online service this week. Opened up this app.... woof. It's basically the NES Classic and a few other games. Why bother? Not worth the money so far it feels like. Tecmo Bowl is the only thing I've really messed with, and even that was only 1 game for nostalgia sake.

Great to see, month of my birthday, perfect timing.

I don't have a Switch just yet, but answered the questions based on my history of buying. Though after I collect my fantasy football winnings this week, I'm finally going to bite the bullet and pick up the system.

But I'm buying physical whenever possible. Digital games can be removed or taken away at the publisher's decision, and plus you can't see you own it. I do it with PC, but that's because Steam, gog, indiegala and humble bundle allow you to buy all games for $5 or less.

Were any eshop cards on sale anywhere?

I voted game modes but honestly a price drop on Switch would be the number one want. And a device to slow down time so I have more time to game...

Interesting. Not sure if I'd bite, but interesting.

My work has tons of cardboard just lying around.

My 5 and 3 year old still play Super Mario Run... like 1-2 times a week. My 5 year old has gotten I think all of the hard coins to get in the 4 free levels. They both enjoy Remix 10, and they occasionally do the Toad Rally.

But the whole point of a demo - which is what the free portion is - is to entice you to want more. But like I play the game and find no challenging appeal. Toad Rally was kind of fun for 2-3 days but the reward is bleh. I'm not into collecting stuff to dress up the kingdom. My kids are, but they get plenty of items in the free version.

If the game drops to like $1, maybe I'll buy it if they still ask to play it. But I mean they get more fun out of Disney Tsum Tsum and the PBS Kids Game App, which are both free and seem to provide them way more enjoyment (and in the case of the PBS app, more education).

I love Mario, but Mario Run is a pretty meh on a scale of 1-10, aka right at a 5. It's OK, it's a short time killer, but it's nothing memorable.

My 3 year old son can beat the free first world with barely hitting the jump button. He thinks it's fun, but that told me right there it is not worth paying for.

It's China. They do this thing regularly. Not news.

My platinum points just keep expiring. Nothing even remotely worth using them on.

Not a problem maybe now, but if they don't find a a solution soon, it will be.

it's very hard to find games on Steam. It will take awhile, but if Nintendo doesn't work on it, the same problem will occur (on a smaller degree) in the eshop. Can't ignore it.

@Donutman I have a 5 and 3 year old. They can't play those games, they can only watch me play the more complicated button games.

We've sunk 300+ hours into Pokemon GO, AND my 5 year old is getting tons of exercise thanks to it. And he knows the names of 200+ Pokemon.

Those other games are nice ( haven't played them all), but they are static experiences no different than any game you played 10-15 years ago.

It's all opinion of course, but Pokemon Go, just like Wii Sports, has brought a new wrinkle into gaming we haven't seen before. The other games are just sequels.

Outside of the winter months when it's hard to play in Ohio, been playing a ton since day 2 with my son. He still loves it. Still have lots of fun, tons of people playing around me. Best Nintendo game of the last 5 years, bar none.

@thesilverbrick No kidding. Profit has to be in the $65 dollar range, and $10 the other $15 is simply painting the outside box with Nintendo logos.

I've seen no one talk about Labo on Twitter since shortly after it's reveal. It's for a very niche group. I don't expect support past this year.

Smash Ultimate means I'm probably getting a Switch for Christmas.
Fire Emblem looks really cool.

Everything else in that presentation was pretty forgettable. I'd give you some examples... but I honestly forgot most of it beyond that crazy mech game they led off with that looks like a solid $5 clearance bin pick up.

Need more reasons to buy a Switch than our currently available: Super Mario Odyessey and Golf Story.

As one of 28 people who actually bought and still owns a WiiU, I have all the other big titles on Switch as they are ports.

Stop announcing ports Nintendo. Give us new games.

Oh, and new 3DS games, as that is still my main system right now.

@Heavyarms55 If people aren't going to be punished for cheating, they are going to continue to cheat. There has to be some kind of punishment that might actually make them think twice about cheating.

I like this plan. The cheaters can't use the illegal Pokemon, and they don't get the space in their box back.

I'd still prefer they just brick the cheater's phones, but this is a start.

Only have the free version. I keep it on my tablet becauase my 5 and 3 year old will play it every blue moon. The fact that even at 4 and 2 they could beat the first world was all I needed to see to know there was no way I was dropping $10 on such a simplistic game.

Thank goodness for Fire Emblem heroes, way better mobile offering.

Wow I thought I missed E3 being moved up to May... but apparently the news is slow so we are essentially doing the equivalent to a stupid NFL mock draft. No thanks.

At first I was like, "Hooray, a Monster Hunter game on Switch! Time to buy a Switch!"

Then I was like, "Wait, it's essentially a port+ of a game I have on 3DS."

This increases my chances of getting a Switch this year, but being a port+ it's not a definite. Goes from 5% to like 30% I'd say.

@NEStalgia Anyone who plays video games - from the veterans, to the mobile people, to the toddler who steals your phone to play the PBS kids app - are all gamers.

Shame on so many gamers for letting this happen. Having the Fifa license has to be a huge help.

I'll just keep my streak of not buying EA games going. Lost track of how many years its been.

I love Fire Emblem Heroes. Play every day. But I spend no money since they hand out orbs like candy to babies.

Super Mario Run is installed on my tablet, but only because my 5 and 3 year old occasionally play it. Because that's how easy it is. It's why I find no joy in that soulless game.

Never touched the other mobile entries, they looked uninteresting. And now with Animal Crossing have loot boxes, that gets the perma ban hammer from me.

Good. Ban them. Ban them all. Or replace their top 30 pokemon with C10P Pidgeys.

So annoyed when I see gyms attacked and there is no one within range.

Nintendo is very much healthy again. Just need to keep making good decisions to keep this trend going. Wonder how the new president will do vs the interim, who seems to have righted the ship after Iwata had some issues.

I was a bit miffed Switch didn't have a trophy system, but the bigger problem is it still lacks a Pokemon or Monster Hunter game. Hopefully these deal breaker problems are alleviated in the next 12 months or so.

@EightyTwoStu The 3DS has tons of good games the last 2 years. You just aren't a big enough fan to appreciate them. I haven't even considered a Switch because my backlog of amazing 3DS games is still too long.

Just picked this up to Best Buy clearancing out WiiU games. Who needs a Switch when you can build a WiiU collection on the cheap!

I buy physical whenever possible still. Don't like buying stuff I can't hold. I do use Steam, but I have a $5 max rule on video games on there because it's digital.

Gonna still buy physical games whenver possible, so I can actually see my collection. Good luck to y'all going fully digital when Nintendo doesn't even have cloud saves to keep your data around.

Things I need Switch to add before I'll buy it:
1) Pokemon game
2) Monster Hunter game
3) A GOOD MLB game
4) A d-pad
5) Better battery life
6) New, non-neon colors (Honestly want a Pokemon or MH Special edition Switch)

So let's work on at least a couple of these Nintendo.

If you love something, you want to play it. You don't need it to be "expanded." I've put more than 2K, probably 3K hours into many baseball games over the years. I just need it to be a good baseball sim.

@stuffiwrote I just need a competent MLB game. Stripped down the graphics of The Show, that doesn't matter to me at all. It's the crisp gameplay. It's by far thegame on my PS3 that I sunk the most hours on, whichever year I have.

Amen Ian. I would break down a Switch tomorrow if you gave me an amazing MLB game like MLB The Show on Playstation consoles. It's so sad nobody even comes close. I love the Indians, but having Francisco Lindor on the cover of RBI Baseball doesn't make me want to buy that crapfest anymore. Doubt they improved it anyway.

I'll take a Mario Baseball game at this point on my 3DS or Switch. I bought the Wii game just so I had SOMETHING.

@Harmonie I'm joking man, I know they play a role. I reference basketball coaches because fans always want to fire the coach even though the problem is the players aren't listening to him "conduct" what they should do.

Still been playing, having lots of fun with it. Game puts Mario Run to shame. Cool 1 year gifts for sure.
