@Northwind I think people don't realize sometimes how much they focus on the negative.

I used to listen to podcasts a lot, now I barely do. One reason is that people would be talking about a game. They would talk about the cool aspects for about 1-2 minutes, then for 10 minutes talk about that 1 thing that annoys them. Then at the end, they go, "it's a must have." But I listened for 10 minutes how awful that one part of the game was, and I often think, "well, I'll get it on clearance maybe."

That's all. Not attacking you, or anybody else specifically. It's just an annoying people do with video games, movies, books, TV shows. They could love it, but man do they love to tell you the 1 thing they hate about it.

I am a bit amazed they are going more mobile-ish considering they have a AC mobile game that I don't think did great for them.

I know people are enjoying Animal Crossing as a whole, but when I go to Twitter, my timeline is generally filled with 3 things AC related - crying about turnip prices, how bad the events have been so far, and how things aren't perfect.

I mean you do you. I played the original, loved finding NES games. I got the 3DS version, but the fun fizzled quick without that carrot. I'm just going to enjoy the SMM2 update and you guys enjoy virtual botany. At least people are happy while quarantined.

Did you guys give up on updating this? Because I bookmarked it for the reason of hoping itw ould be updated each week...

@Wataru Although I was around for that era, I didn't own a Dreamcast. And I have self restraint. I'm sure the digital version will eventually go on sale for like $5, I'll try it out then. My backlog is so bad, and even working from home has not really slowed down much, so I can wait. I've waited 30 years or so already, right?

Seriously, this time has passed. And given the current world problems, I don't think making plastics for things that should have been included in the game in the first place is a good idea.

If you are looking at user reviews instead of website actual game reviews at this point, you need your head examined.

@ryancraddock I see this is on sale right now. I have a 7 year old who is pretty smart and loves games. I feel like this might be both fun and educational too?

Just send these people viruses to brick their systems and be done with it.

Give me all the NIntendo Lego sets you can think of. My kids love Nintendo and Legos, so we can all have fun building and playing together.

Free games for paying for the online subscription service. Would be a nice perk, considering the online service seems to be no better than Wii or WiiU outside of less friend codes.

@Silly_G Great points, totally agree. But as @Mynameishello points out, the whales will buy this. And they will do this on more games in turn.

I never liked DLC and microtransactions, and they led to these season passes. Next, it will be $60 for the first half of a game, $60 for the second half a year later. From all companies, not just Nintendo. Then $60 for for the DLC/microstranscations. And as you see EA is making a killing with FIFA, the main consumers will buy this stuff up in droves.

Based on Rogue One, this would be team Star Fox's last adventure.

Pokemon Sword/Shield is amazing, must own, and will only grow the series.

Pretty cool. I enjoyed Golf Story, though not as much as say Mario Golf on 3DS or even on the GBA. But I'll keep my eyes on this.

Awesome news, though people Super Mega Baseball 2 is a blast. I'm playing 2-3 games a night on it, great game that looks arcadey but has simulation quality. Good stuff.

My 6 and 4 year old boys are really looking forward to this game. All they have basically played so far is Pokemon Go, as I don't buy most remakes and skipped let's go.

I think they are going to have a blast with this and learning how to actually battle and level up the way we are used to. Now just a matter of agreeing on a starter by Friday lol.

Love Pokemon Go. Play it everyday with my two boys. Been playing since day 2.... never spent a dime. No need.

@fafonio Well I said "most" hardcore fans. I didn't say all. And if you are enjoying it, great. I thought it was a nice time waster but I'd rather play tsum tsum if I got 10 minutes on my phone to kill.

@Henmii Anyone thinking there would be a AAA mobile game was doing some pretty heavy drugs. They are all time wasters. I enjoy a few, but they aren't the same a console/handheld game.

Not shocked lots of people downloaded it to try it.

I'm guessing most hardcore fans like myself played it 2-3 times and said, "nope."

But there are plenty of causal mobile gamers that will keep the money flowing into Nintendo's pockets for awhile.

Pokemon Go is great fun, gets my kids exercising... but I've never paid a dime and that won't change.

So if we never get Regigas, oh well.

I've heard so little about this game. No tweets about it. No friends playing. I've booted it up maybe 4 times total and played maybe 8 races total? I'm sure it's doing well enough, but I doubt it's doing gangbusters.

@darkswabber Gamers complain. It's what they do on the internet. It's pretty much what people do about most topics on the internet. I wouldn't take it too hard.

The game has no life or passion, much like Super Mario Run.

But the casuals are eating it up, and it's going to make Nintendo millions.

So core gamers, just be quiet and play your Switch and be happy Nintendo's revenue is going up.

If people are simply looking for a super easy game providing some nostaligia and the ability to waste 10-15 minutes, Mario Kart Tour is perfect.

But for those people with skill and enjoy real racing and not just loose-based controlling.... game is not for you.
