I know people are enjoying Animal Crossing as a whole, but when I go to Twitter, my timeline is generally filled with 3 things AC related - crying about turnip prices, how bad the events have been so far, and how things aren't perfect.
I mean you do you. I played the original, loved finding NES games. I got the 3DS version, but the fun fizzled quick without that carrot. I'm just going to enjoy the SMM2 update and you guys enjoy virtual botany. At least people are happy while quarantined.
@Wataru Although I was around for that era, I didn't own a Dreamcast. And I have self restraint. I'm sure the digital version will eventually go on sale for like $5, I'll try it out then. My backlog is so bad, and even working from home has not really slowed down much, so I can wait. I've waited 30 years or so already, right?
@ryancraddock Are you guys doing a weekly "best of the games on sale right now" story each week and I'm just missing it? I swore I saw that once or twice but haven't lately. Maybe a different site, but I tend to go to this one first.
Seriously, this time has passed. And given the current world problems, I don't think making plastics for things that should have been included in the game in the first place is a good idea.
@ryancraddock I see this is on sale right now. I have a 7 year old who is pretty smart and loves games. I feel like this might be both fun and educational too?
Free games for paying for the online subscription service. Would be a nice perk, considering the online service seems to be no better than Wii or WiiU outside of less friend codes.
@Silly_G Great points, totally agree. But as @Mynameishello points out, the whales will buy this. And they will do this on more games in turn.
I never liked DLC and microtransactions, and they led to these season passes. Next, it will be $60 for the first half of a game, $60 for the second half a year later. From all companies, not just Nintendo. Then $60 for for the DLC/microstranscations. And as you see EA is making a killing with FIFA, the main consumers will buy this stuff up in droves.
Hard to find? Is this a joke? I can walk into any store nearby and they will have 3 or 4 of them just lying on the shelf, gathering dust because it costs too much.
Hard to find.... yeah, hard to find a sale. I'll buy it when it's $30, not before.
@DrDaisy Now now. If casual gamers didn't complain on the internet constantly, they might have to, you know, play video game and - dare I say it - enjoy them?
Awesome news, though people Super Mega Baseball 2 is a blast. I'm playing 2-3 games a night on it, great game that looks arcadey but has simulation quality. Good stuff.
Glad to hear it's a good game. Looking forward to it.
Now if Nintendo Life would just get around to blocking the 40 or so trolls on the site, whom all have 3-4 accounts a piece to make it seem like there are even more Pokemon haters than there really are...
@Rayquaza2510 you beat a Pokemon game you obtained illegally early in 13 hours you got yesterday but you hated it, yet you played it 13 hours in a 24 hour period just so you could share your worthless opinion with me?
My 6 and 4 year old boys are really looking forward to this game. All they have basically played so far is Pokemon Go, as I don't buy most remakes and skipped let's go.
I think they are going to have a blast with this and learning how to actually battle and level up the way we are used to. Now just a matter of agreeing on a starter by Friday lol.
@fafonio Well I said "most" hardcore fans. I didn't say all. And if you are enjoying it, great. I thought it was a nice time waster but I'd rather play tsum tsum if I got 10 minutes on my phone to kill.
@Henmii Anyone thinking there would be a AAA mobile game was doing some pretty heavy drugs. They are all time wasters. I enjoy a few, but they aren't the same a console/handheld game.
I've heard so little about this game. No tweets about it. No friends playing. I've booted it up maybe 4 times total and played maybe 8 races total? I'm sure it's doing well enough, but I doubt it's doing gangbusters.
@darkswabber Gamers complain. It's what they do on the internet. It's pretty much what people do about most topics on the internet. I wouldn't take it too hard.

Re: UK News Outlet Calls Animal Crossing's Nature Day "A Farce", Says It "Teaches Kids Toxic Lessons"
@Northwind Your reply basically is how I feel Twitter is about AC.
"I love the game, but... let me rant for 3-4 tweets about what I don't like about the game."
I am a bit amazed they are going more mobile-ish considering they have a AC mobile game that I don't think did great for them.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - March 2020
@ryancraddock Perfect, bookmarked. I wasn't going insane... yet. The quarantine era may still cause it though.

I believe "git gud" is in order here.

Awesome, but no date it sounds like it?
Re: Review: Panzer Dragoon: Remake - Doesn’t Quite Nail The Landing
I was ready to buy the Limited Run physical version to play this for the first time, then I see, "Still an extremely short adventure for the price"
Nope, not for $40 anyway.

If you are looking at user reviews instead of website actual game reviews at this point, you need your head examined.

Companies worth billions didn't get that way by being moral or ethical. They exploit, enslave and conquer.

Re: Ring Fit Adventure Player Shows Off His Healthy Transformation After One Month
Good for him. I'm interested in this game, just not $70 interested.
Much like Labo, I expect this game to be on a Target encap sooner rather than later.

Nice article. WOuld have loved it last week when all the sales were gonig on, but added a few to my wish list.

Yeah, I'm sure you are real, lol...
Re: Mario Kart Tour's New Year Event Starts On 31st December
I am curious to know how much this game is being played still.
After a day, this article has 16 comments. SO at least among the core fanbase, not a lot. But probably a hit with the casual mobile fans.
Re: Talking Point: Even Dexit Couldn't Derail The Pokémon Hype Train In 2019
The "Dexit" people were Russian hackers. I mean they just confirmed more than half of the anti-Star Wars people online were Russian hackers.
If you see people hating on things on the internet, it's a fake Russian account. Just remember that from here on out.
Pokemon Sword/Shield is amazing, must own, and will only grow the series.

Re: Sports Story Is A Sequel To Golf Story, And It's Coming Exclusively To Switch
Pretty cool. I enjoyed Golf Story, though not as much as say Mario Golf on 3DS or even on the GBA. But I'll keep my eyes on this.

Re: Poll: Pokémon Sword And Shield Are Out Today, Which Version Are You Getting?
@sikthvash Haven't they more or less done away with that the last few years, since they have gone to yearly releases of either a new gen or a remake?
Re: Feature: Best Pokémon Games Of All Time
Heart Gold and Soul Silver at #1 is correct. The rest of the list really didn't matter. Well done author, well done.

Right. Troll.

The Kanto Pokemon won all 3... shocker.

The racer that asks the question, "Do you prefer to be on top or bottom?"
I'd play this if it came stateside. Music is awesome.
Re: Unlock A Pokémon Sword And Shield Theme In Tetris 99's Next Maximus Cup
Very cool, like what htey are doing with Tetris 99 to keep giving reasons to return.
Re: Pokémon GO Has Now Surpassed $3 Billion In Lifetime Gross Revenue
Love Pokemon Go. Play it everyday with my two boys. Been playing since day 2.... never spent a dime. No need.
But I guess thank you all the whales who do to keep the game strong.

Re: Mario Kart Tour Was Downloaded 123.9 Million Times In Its First Month
Not shocked lots of people downloaded it to try it.
I'm guessing most hardcore fans like myself played it 2-3 times and said, "nope."
But there are plenty of causal mobile gamers that will keep the money flowing into Nintendo's pockets for awhile.
Re: Guide: Pokémon GO 'A Colossal Discovery' - How To Purchase A Premium Ticket And Regigigas Quest Walkthrough
Pokemon Go is great fun, gets my kids exercising... but I've never paid a dime and that won't change.
So if we never get Regigas, oh well.
Re: After Losing His Keys, Luigi Is Finally Ready To Race In Mario Kart Tour This Halloween

@darkswabber Gamers complain. It's what they do on the internet. It's pretty much what people do about most topics on the internet. I wouldn't take it too hard.
Re: Mario Kart Tour's Second New York Tour Adds New Cups, Challenges And More
The game has no life or passion, much like Super Mario Run.
But the casuals are eating it up, and it's going to make Nintendo millions.
So core gamers, just be quiet and play your Switch and be happy Nintendo's revenue is going up.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Downloaded 20 Million Times On Release Day
If people are simply looking for a super easy game providing some nostaligia and the ability to waste 10-15 minutes, Mario Kart Tour is perfect.
But for those people with skill and enjoy real racing and not just loose-based controlling.... game is not for you.
Re: Ring Fit Adventure File Size Revealed, Download Code Version Also Available
Wow. I'm $30 interested in this... not $80.
This is about the same value as the cardboard stuff I notice doesn't seem to sell all that well at stores.
Re: DuckTales: Remastered Is Leaving The Wii U eShop On 9th August
Bought it physically on WiiU thank goodness.
