Chucklefish has revealed it will be publishing the 2D puzzle platformer Inmost. The title has been developed by the two-person Lithuania-based developer Hidden Layer Games and is currently due out on the PC in 2019. When asked about a potential Switch version, Chucklefish said it would love to bring it to consoles, but couldn't guarantee anything right now:
Inmost is described as an atmospheric, story-driven puzzle platformer where you take control of three playable characters who are united by an interconnecting story. The narrative takes place across two worlds, with part of it set in an old abandoned castle, and includes themes of suffering and sacrifice - with a family apparently in the middle of the chaos.
There'll be plenty of slicing and dicing as you work your way through enemies and spring deadly traps to escape the forces of evil. There are also secret passages and the atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful pixel art design.
Chucklefish are responsible for the development of Wargroove, due out on the Switch in the near future, and have previously handled the publishing of Stardew Valley and Pocket Rumble on the eShop. Hopefully, Inmost makes the transition across to the Switch at some stage.
Take a look at the trailer above, and tell us if you would like to see this game released on the Switch in the future.

<Insert port begging here> (?)
Anyone remembers Heart of Darkness from the PSX era? The animations and monsters remind me of that. I'll definitely keep an eye on this one.
I really enjoyed what I saw about the animations ! What a great job those two guys did !
I'm not ultra fan of the color palette but I understand the artistic choice they have made.
I definitely keep an eye on it.
@GrailUK I don't think we really need to port beg at this point. I'd be shocked if Stardew Valley didn't do well enough for Chucklefish to want to publish more games for Switch.
stop getting my hopes up NL
Very pretty!
Now THIS is a platformer I'd LOVE to get my hands on. Particularly on Switch. Everything about it is alluring! It looks great! Would be even better if it was multiplayer though. Imagine that.
Jumped the gun and assumed it was coming to Switch...
Hopefully we'll get it in the future!
If this came to Switch, I will buy for sure.
I’m fairly confident this will (eventually) come to Switch.
So this is what happens if you let Joja Corporation take over Pelican Town...
Well, that looks gorgeous... Bring it to Switch, and I'll buy it.
@diablo2 yup, this reminded me immediately of Heart of Darkness. That game had an amazing artstyle and animations but the trial and error gameplay was terrible. Hopefully this isn't similar
I knew their name sounded familiar. Just couldn't place the game they were associated with.
How is this Nintendo news? This is like if PushSquare put out an article that Mario Odyssey won't be coming to PS4.
@sketchturner Chucklefish has had a hand in several highly anticipated games on Switch. If they are announcing something new it is not unreasonable to make an article about it and drum up interest for a potential Switch port.
@diablo2
One of my favorite games of the era, played it to death on the PC and I too was instantly reminded of it when seeing those shadowy things move around! ^_^
I’m definitely in as I am in for the next iteration of Halo but that is not coming to Switch anyway. Why aren’t you posting about Halo? This is no news.
Clarification: no news for this site.
Sure, looks good.
Chuckle-chuckle-fishin, ch-chuckle-fishin!
Yup, I like the look of it. I'd buy a Switch port.
First place I saw this game mentioned didn't state the platform and I just assumed it was a Switch release. While I'm a PC gamer first and foremost, I still can't believe this will get released on PC and stay exclusive. This one will be coming to consoles, I'm sure.
This looks and sounds really nice! I have a weakness for Gameboy-esque esthetics. Great trailer!
saw this trailer on twitter a few days ago and dove straight in the comments to find any mention of a Switch port (and found this exact tweet of the article)
Looks interesting.
