Re: Video: Nintendo Makes Pitch for the 'Switch Summer' of Major Releases

Windy

**sadface** I'm sad because even though the summer releases are great games for Nintendo fans I'm not interested in any of them. Maybe the August release will be Dragon Quest X..... Well actually scratch that. That would mean a North American release before Japan. Not happening. **Sadface**

Maybe the Eshop will be my ticket.

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st June (North America)

Windy

Tough going in the 3DS Eshop lately. Talk about a ShovelWare extravaganza! Are they even doing quality checks anymore? I guess I shouldn't complain the Wii-U shop looks even worse.

I did finally crack and bought Minecraft for Switch this week. My first time playing ever. It's alot of fun so far. I wish the game had come out on cartridge though. I hate downloading retail. I hope we don't have to get used to this

Re: Square Enix Silent On Switch Dragon Quest XI Due To "Adult Circumstances"

Windy

@IceClimbers yep but going by the past. But please let me be wrong! lol

Sorry about the Downer post. I am so excited about Dragon Quest XI and extremely frustrated with DQ X. Dragon Quest X should have been released in North America on Wii. I don't care what anyone says it would have sold systems with it online play. But Nintendo hates the online. They still haven't proved to me yet (switch owner) that they are dedicated to online yet. Dragon Quest XI will come out for sure I think.

Re: Square Enix Silent On Switch Dragon Quest XI Due To "Adult Circumstances"

Windy

Kiss Dragon Quest XI goodbye even though it was supposed to be a huge release for Switch. Oh sorry guys our mistake. Plus we will never see Dragon Quest X in North America. I guess it's just time to move on from the Dragon Quest series and enjoy it like 8 years from now when it gets a special classics games release on Nintendos next Gen Console The Twitch......lol

Re: Unreal Engine Adds Full Native Support For Nintendo Switch

Windy

@Spoony_Tech It will be just like old times why devs cant bring their games to Nintendo. Gotta appreciate the ones who do. Btw my son has plans to get me a playstation 4 with final fantasy 14 so we can play online. I also have interest in a game called No Mans Sky which I would love to try.

Re: SEGA Forever May Be a Subscription Service for the Company's Iconic Retro Games

Windy

Speculation......believe when I see it. Could be a really neat service for switch. The more the Merrier is always good. I just hate to see ad-ridden software on my Switch. There is nothing more annoying than ads running while playing games. I would rather they just offer the service for say switch if its an either buy it or you dont with no ads. However with the garbage we have been seeing in the 3ds eshop lately maybe ad gaming would be a welcome sight. I mean we have really gotten some bad software in the Eshop in the last couple months. I dont think there is any quality control at all.

Re: Nintendo Download: 25th May (Europe)

Windy

Drancia has been a lot of fun so far I recommend that to anyone. Easy to play. Neat pixel art just a fun little game. I wish Kairosoft would start releasing some 3ds games. They have so many good games in a genre that the 3ds lacks in. I think at their current Android Market prices they would make a ton of money in the Eshop and we would love the product. I emailed them this week but have not received a reply. If your a fan of Kairosoft on Android and would like to see them on 3DS please send them an Email at [email protected] it would be much better than the garbage that has been released in Eshop lately.

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

Windy

@NewAdvent I'm having serious buyers remorse right now. I loved Zelda it was absolutely awesome. But after that it's been a bit disappointing. I have my fun with MarioKart. All these Indie titles worry me too. Indie titles are fun don't get me wrong. But the Eshop has always overpriced them. They will be .99 cents or up to 4.99 in the Android market and the Eshop charges up to 4X more. They have already done it with 3ds with many games. Now I do expect to pay more for Eshop Versus Android market. The games just feel better to play with controller support. But really! 10 bucks for a .99 cent game? Come on man! Don't get me started on Controllers. If Nintendo Patches the Switch so that the 8bitdo pads stop working my Switch will get a one way ticket out of here.

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

Windy

@PlywoodStick it sure leaves you wondering if Nintendo did pull some strings to get that Retro controller pulled from Amazon. I just went back to the link for that controller and it's been totally pulled. Now it's a phantom controller. I play single player a majority of the time now anyway. My kids have grown and moved on so I can wait till they do have another option. Eventually thereally will be. I feel sorry for those who do need extras though.

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

Windy

@Yorumi I actually love the Joycons put together. But apart yeah they do feel uncomfortable. I've been frustrated with no 3rd party support on controllers. As soon as we get a 30 dollar controller I'm buying 2. I want to buy a set of extra Joycons but 70.00 bucks is pretty outragious. Amazon had a 3rd party pro controller made by Retro for 29.99 but it was pulled 3 days before release. I wonder why it was pulled. My suspicious side thinks Nintendo made them hold back. Then I think it might have been a joke since the controller was posted on Amazon around April 1st (April fools) I really can't see a company like retro pulling a joke like that. I've written retro about it no reply. I've asked Nintendo life to investigate it but they haven't got any info. What happened to this 29.99 pro controller?

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

Windy

@Anti-Matter oh there are to be sure. And what do I do? I pay those prices sometimes. But I'm also patient and wait for sales. I have a ton of games on 3DS I would say 80% were on sale or used. There are only certain games you want or need on Day 1. Once you determine what those are you can wait till later on the rest and get them on price drop.

Re: It Looks Like Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival Is Taking To The Pitch On Switch

Windy

No.... I trust that others did not like this retro abomination. I'm sure I won't either. It might sell well to hardcore soccer fans. But the fact of the matter is that Soccer games of today are so good why would you want to relive this. I don't mean to be hard on this game but it does sound bad no matter what they do to it. Retro Sidescrollers, RPG's and shooters are different. Most retro and those are still fun to play. I think sports titles in general are hard to get into unless they are called Blades of Steel!

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

Windy

I've been Salty for years now. The Eshop has been way over priced with game from the android Market which are .99 cents or 1.99 and suddenly 9.99 in the Eshop. This isn't anything new for Nintendo to price Gouge. I even saw 1 game forgot which one was .99 cents in the android market , when it came to 3ds it was 6.99 , I went back to look in the Android market and Low and behold it was 6.99 for a major cover up lol. I wish I could remember which game that was. I think it was one of the games from Nicalis. Anyway the thing is this.....As long as we are willing to put up with this stuff. They will continue to step all over us. The economy is what makes the world go round. Look at Christmas time for example. They make a huge deal about how much consumers spend. 70% of America can't even afford to buy 1,000 dollars worth at Christmas but somehow they do (credit). I often wonder if the rest of the world is this way or worse. But every year we do it again. So again as long as we buy it. Nintendo will do it. One of these days it might just come back around and bite them in the ass!

Re: Cat Quest Claws Its Way to Switch eShop Soon

Windy

That looks really cool. Hope to see it soon. So many Indie titles being released. Seems like 3 to 5 announced every week for switch. I do like what I'm seeing but I'm also a little worried as third party devs haven't really showed their hands yet. Would love to see an assassins Creed collection and maybe a Hockey game from EA. Square Enix seems to be partially on board but I will eat a bug if they finally port Dragon Quest X which should have been ported to Wii years ago. I think that game alone would have sold Wii systems. It also might have been a good selling point for Wii-U. But we will never know because Nintendo hates online aspects of gaming. I'm expecting them to screw that up again with their upcoming online. I want them to do well I have the systems but it's been years and it's always been a let down. We'll see

Re: New Splatoon 2 Switch Accessories And Hardware Bundle Announced

Windy

Heck I would just be happy to be able to comfortably justify buying any color version of the Joycon controller. I actually like the Joycons enough not to worry about getting a Pro Controller for Switch but have been waiting and getting very impatient that a 3rd party hasn't announced or released a cheaper option for a controller on Switch. If a 3rd party could come up with something Decent you would think they could make Millions as crazy as the Switch is jumping off the Shelves. I have to wonder if Nintendo is holding back 3rd party controller devs right now.

Re: Check Out This 'Nincade' Upgrade Kit For Famicom Mini and NES Classic Edition

Windy

@Gaijillionaire Nobody is writing about how a 30 dollar 3rd party pro controller from Retro got totally pulled a few days before release on Switch. Could somebody find an answer to that? It has been bugging me to no end especially since I pre ordered 2 of them on Amazon and can't get an answer from Retro or Amazon. I would like to know if Nintendo pulled the plug to sell it's own controllers or if that controller was a joke in the first place since it was announced on or near April 1st. I would love to buy an extra set of Joycons but 80+ dollars is alot. I'm actually getting more and more frustrated every week that a 3rd party hasn't stepped up to announce a near future controller option. Makes me wonder if Nintendo is holding them back at this time.

Re: Poll: Nintendo is Keen on 'Social Competitive Gaming' on Switch - Are You Game?

Windy

I like the Idea of being able to get together and play whether it's in the Livingroom, online or Local play. But Local play has been a Lame Duck for quite a while. It has been used in many games on DS and 3DS and is Rarely used. I used think these game companies used to put in Lan play just so they could say their game is Multiplayer. Nobody uses it though. If there is a planned event it works. But even planned events are rare. I would love to invite friends over for Multiplayer on Switch but the controllers are so expensive I haven't been able to afford a second set of Joycons. So until that time comes online will be the only Multiplayer I will be playing. Of course this Idea will work flawless at E3 and at Nintendo headquarters where everyone is carrying a Switch. But in the real world it's an epic Fail.

Re: Blaster Master Zero Has Been Downloaded 80,000 Times On Switch

Windy

I've been planning to get BlasterMaster. I played the Demo all the way through and couldn't put it down. It's an absolutely unique game which you won't experience anywhere else. I might wait till after E3 though. E3 hinges on whether or not I keep my Switch. I have been a bit Disgruntled as of late with the Switch. I'm not very interested the Future games line up. The holidays look ok. So I'm waiting through E3 to see what Nintendo has in Store for the system. For me they might need too announce 1 or 2 new RPG's or an online RPG. I've also been waiting for a proper racing game and Hockey game

Re: Review: NBA Playgrounds (Switch eShop)

Windy

I'm going to still get this but I'm hoping for a proper hockey game. Not that awful looking classic hockey coming at the end of the year. Heck at this point I would be happy if EA would release NHL 95 with online play. Come to think of it.....that would be neat

Re: Poll: How Do You Play the Nintendo Switch - As A Portable, Home Console or Hybrid?

Windy

I really thought I would be playing portable more but I've only done it one time and I'm really enjoying the TV play so far. All my kids are moved out on their own so nobody needs the TV. I like being able to play portable when I can though. I'm just having trouble keeping up with releases so far. Not enough money , it's coming out so fast. The 3ds was the same way.
