Re: Reggie Explains the Reasoning Behind the New 2DS XL

Windy

@Blazinglegend16 I feel the same way. I bought the Switch and already had a 3ds. But I'm feeling the pinch. I would love an extra Joycon controller but that price is keeping me away. So I'm buying games instead. Then there are a few 3ds games I want.

@Spoony_Tech I've been trying to catch you on MarioKart but keep missing you. Me and a friend will be playing on Sundays at Noon Pacific time. If you would like to join your welcome too. We will be playing 2 players per console. Me and my son vs him and his daughter.

Re: Nintendo Download: 4th May (North America)

I picked Infinite Golf and played quite a bit of it. It's really bare bones flick to shoot but it gets addictive. The graphics are cool but do no change. I wish they had put in multiple backgrounds. It actually is a great start for a game of this type. It would be awesome to see them expand upon it with perhaps online leaderboards or play, multiple backgrounds after you reach so far. It definitely has potential. Be careful touching the screen cause it's super sensitive and might count as a shot but it's worth 1.99 I just hope they will expand on it cause it would be cool with some goals and achievements

Re: Meet The Mario Maker Player Nintendo Wants To Ban For Keeping The Game Alive

Windy

Good for him. Years ago I played Phantasy Star online on Dreamcast we got 1 lousy update in North America while Japan was getting visible armor updates and other cool features. I discovered how to use those updates on a north America system and exploited them. I got banned too. But kept coming back as the bans were 24 hours. It took a while it we figured out a way around them and pretty soon were playing with the same updates Japan had. It made the game alot more fun too. As I'm sure this is making MarioMaker more fun.

Re: Reggie Explains the Reasoning Behind the New 2DS XL

@tedko I'm going to actually put a phonecall into Nintendo and tell them, "look if I can't transfery games I'm not gonna buy it." Then see if they can at least deal with me and add in the notes that they approved the system transfer. Should they not approve I actually might pass on it. But damn it looks so sexy!

Re: Editorial: The Ongoing Pleasures of Nintendo Switch Boxes, Cartridges and (Occasionally) Manuals

Windy

@Anti-Matter you know your right. I was a bit Salty there. Ever since 3ds though I have heard these excuses as to why we should go to digital only. The one I love is I will lose my games. I just roll my eyes and think, wow doesn't anyone take care of their stuff anymore. I've been treating my stuff like gold since 1976 when I got my first Atari 2600. I love this hobby but in the last couple of years it's got really expensive. Overall it still has great bang for the buck. But the prices to download what I call air...(retail Digital releases) seems crazy to me. The prices on Controllers is really crazy. But I'm officially an old man that explains my salty demeanour. I love this hobby and will do so until I go to my grave it's just too fun to pass on. But take care of it. It's not cheap anymore lol

Re: Deals: Nintendo Switch - Upcoming Goodies For May And June

Windy

@Yasume oh I guess the PlayStation Got a huge Mario Version of Minecraft too. How is that? You know there is a website you can go too and be a jerk over there. It's http://www.playsyation.com since you seem to believe that a New System that's barely been released needs to lower price of its software because it already come out on another system.

Some peoples Children......sheesh. please do us a favor and go play Zelda Breath of the Wild on your PS4

Re: Editorial: The Ongoing Pleasures of Nintendo Switch Boxes, Cartridges and (Occasionally) Manuals

Windy

I hope 100 percent digital download never comes! I hate the Idea of not being able to get me a cartridge and case. Not only for later trade ins but just to have to pass along to friends or family when I'm done with them. Don't get me wrong. Games like Kamiko are good fun and a well spent 5 bucks. But as long as I can get a cartridge for retail games........I will. For those of you who worry about losing cartridges......um....well...LEARN TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF! ....And....your just being stupid!...Get a nice little bag, when you take a cartridge out of your system you put it in the bag. If you can't do that, well now I can't help ya. Your just lazy lol

Re: Nintendo States That Support for the 3DS Family of Systems Remains Strong

Windy

Umm. That's not a 3DS it's a 2DS. It looks sweet and I'm glad to see there is more software coming. But, does this single the end of 3D software? You guys keep referring to it as 3ds line but it seems they are shutting down the 3D. Don't get me wrong the New system is very sexy. But I love the 3D effects. This seems to be a huge decision to move away from that

Re: New Nintendo 2DS XL Announced, Releases 28th July

Windy

The system looks awesome. Is this the end of 3D? I'm very bummed about that. I play with 3D on 100% of the time. I'm going to miss all that if it carries over to game releases. I absolutely love the look of the system though. It's a gorgeous looking system and I will more than likely get it.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is Still Due to Arrive in 2017, Which is Nice

Windy

My favorite RPG of all time. I can't wait. Now stop jinxing it with all this talk! I beat Zelda Tonight after 150+ hours on the clock playing. What an ending! Breath of the Wild moves to my #2 favorite RPG of all time. Is it just me or is Nintendo the talk of the VideoGame world again! Welcome back Nintendo!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Upgraded Confidence in Switch is a Relief

Windy

@Anti-Matter I'm usually older than Everyone else but when I was in my Late 20's I played a lot of EverQuest on PC. We had a regular group member who was 64 years old. I love gaming. I got an Atari 2600 when I was 10 years old and me and my brother played the hell out of it. What a kick. Then 10 years later after the collapse of Atari Nintendo and Sega Burst onto the scene and times were very good for the next 10 years or so with Nes, Sega then SNES, Genesis and PCEngine/Turbografx. I truly call those years the Golden years. So much good fun with a wow factor. Then there were some dark days for me playing EverQuest on PC for 5 long years. Crazy right? I did have a Sega Saturn and was planning to get a sega Dreamcast at the Release date. I did get a Dreamcast which saved me from the abyss of EverQuest. I played Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast for the next 2 years. Back in the day I was truly a Sega Fanboy. After Sega let me down by pulling the plug it was time to jump ship and get a Nintendo DS. From there it was GameCube, Wii and Wii-U with a PS2 to play RPG's. If I had to say my favorite Era it would be the Golden years of gaming. I wish Sega was still making consoles. But that's my story of becoming a Nintendo Fanboy. There really is much more to it...... I just summed it up real fast. Just enjoy it all for what it is! Share the joy of gaming and be kind to others.

Re: Video: How Well Does Virtual Reality Work On The Nintendo Switch?

Windy

Personally I think VR is absolute Rubbish so far. There is nothing that screams System seller for VR. I've Dabbled with VR and it's hard to find anything that you really feel comfortable with. I'm kinda hoping it will just go away and leave me alone

If anyone can finally do it right it's probably Nintendo. I just don't see people making a leap to playing with these things on their faces for hours and hours at a time

Re: Retro-Style Action RPG Kamiko Hits the Switch eShop In The West Next Week

Windy

Yeah I'm going to pick it up. It's only what like 1.29 more than the North American Eshop so it's really not that big of deal. I just hope this doesn't become a common practice when more expensive games come out. I guess when this goes on sale it really won't be a sale. I'm just going to buy it and enjoy it. If it's near as good as Fairune it will be worth it

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th April (North America)

Windy

@CheezIt when Xenoblade 2 ......oh Mariokart too. Hmmmm theres another little game called Breath of the Wild you wont be playing on any other systems. There are actually quite a few more games coming I could name too that are huge heavy hitters and worth having a Switch. Btw when you buy a system that came out what a month ago......it usually doesnt have a huge amount of software and takes time to build a library.

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th April (North America)

Windy

WonderBoy Switch, urban Trial Freestyle 3ds and Quest of Dungeons went on sale in the Eshop. Pretty good week for me. Cant wait for Xenoblade 2 after putting in 120 hours so far on Zelda. Still loving Zelda awesome!

Re: Interview: Mega Ran on His UK Tour, Chip-Hop and Taking a Famicom and Switch on the Road

Windy

Very nice interview. I hope he will land in Las Vegas sometime. It would be my first HipHop concert ever.....well ChipHop. Would love to sit down and play Bomberman with him. Ive always considered myself a bigtime Bomberman player. All ive really ever done is Bomb out my sons friends and some nieghborhood kids lol. But its always the talk of the party when we hook up that old PCEngine to play Bomberman during BBQ's.

Re: Classic Neo Geo Racer 'Over Top' Speeds Into View

Windy

I was going to get this but ive decided to pass after watching the video. Its not just this game. I bought the golf game which is pretty fun to play but i hate the way these SNK games are setup. I just hate the way they look. I never was a fan of SNK back in the day but was a huge TG16/pce fan. So i will wait for that stuff and pick up WonderBoy this week
