Re: Editorial: Is This a Golden Era of Gaming? Absolutely

Windy

@SLIGEACH_EIRE got to agree with you on those prices. Ridiculous! But if your getting into the 3ds at this late stage it's about the best deal in gaming. Most games run 10 to 25 dollars for some quality games , getting physical copies is the way to go as trade in value or resale just about nets your money back. Downloading air at retail prices still doesn't make sense to me. Such a rip. If somebody asked me what to get for a gaming machine right now, I would tell them 3ds first and why. Great games everywhere you look and it could be a type of investment for resale. Switch is really doing it wrong right now sadly. Hopefully it will be made right soon.

@ThomasBW84 love the article and thought you might be 100% right. Although I still prefer1990 to around 1994 myself, I have to admit the quality these days surely outshines those old days. No matter! It was fun back then and still fun today. Good read

Re: Poll: 99 Games and Counting - Are You Pleased With the Switch eShop Library?

Windy

I'm glad for the amount of games the Switch Shop is getting. I'm very displeased at the amount of Physical games and what seems to be the Nintendo curse.....lack of 3rd party devs. They seem to jump on board in the beginning then they back away as they did with past systems. Nintendo has so many fans and I'm one myself that I think they just will not fail. Plus the fact that their handhelds have been off the hook good since the DS. I hope the Switch can at least be as good as those DS and 3ds systems have been. I do think it's very important the Switch see Monster Hunter XX get released everywhere. Nintendo might have to grab the reigns on that and port it themselves who knows.

Re: 'Next Gen Nintendo 64 Controller' from Retro Fighters Smashes Kickstarter Target

Now if I remember correctly this company had pre orders up at Amazon for a Switch wireless controller. Day before it's release date all information was pulled down from Amazon and a week later or so there was no info anywhere to be found about the 29.99 Wireless Pro controller which had been advertised on Amazon for months. I emailed them about it and got no reply. I emailed Nintendo life and was told they would look into it. Red flags are up for me.

@Ralek85 I'm actually not a big fan of Monster Hunter myself but have found myself starting to like it more as time goes on. But I actually dislike the stress filled constant action and would rather relax with a turn based RPG. But it is wildly popular and I just don't get Capcom attitude towards porting Monster Hunter West. They can't feed us the Dragon Quest excuse saying it's not as popular in North America or Europe. It sells like Hotcakes. Maybe they are tired of making a Gazillion dollars on Monster Hunter. My guess is that Nintendo did something to tick them off and that it would have to be pretty bad for them not to want that money.

@Spoony_Tech I think you mentioned somewhere you liked baseball titles I'm not sure. But if you want something fun to play with your kids I recommend Little League Baseball 2009. It looks great, plays great and has the feel of the Little League world series for the Wii. I picked it up a couple days ago for 5 bucks. It's also 4 players. I would say it's more of an arcade baseball meets a bit of realism which is an awesome mix. Anyway thought I would let you know if you still have Wii or Wii-U if your a fan of Little League Baseball you will absolutely love it. There are 3 versions of it. 2008 uses motion controls only, 2009 uses motion and classic and Double play is both versions on 1 disk which use motion and classic

I was going to get Elminage but the price wasn't right. What do they think this is , a Switch! Well nothing for me this week with more over Priced Eshop titles and Nothing super on the Switch retail front. 3DS has a bunch of up coming wallet busters.

Re: SEVERED Slashes Its Way onto the Switch eShop, Out Today

@Ralek85 I guess I'm just getting angry in my old age lol. I recently wanted to sell my Switch. My wife put the Kabash on that. She is buying me Xenoblade 2 for Christmas. I'm sure I will be glad I didn't sell when I'm playing that I was also playing the Monster Hunter Demo earlier and WOW! Very pretty game. If Capcom doesn't port that... They are just stupid.

Re: SEVERED Slashes Its Way onto the Switch eShop, Out Today

Windy

I just get more and more angry with every re release. I guess we get nothing original but overpriced re release after re release. Seriously buyers remorse for the Switch here. Zelda was great, but it has been anything but ever since. To be honest I didn't care much for severed on 3DS.

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd August (North America)

I want the I Am Setsuna but I'm so mad at Square right now for not bringing Dragon Quest X to Wii, Wii-U and or Switch. Then not Bringing a Physical copy of I am Setsuna to North America. I wonder if Square will release any physical games on Switch in North America. I would love to support but I'm just so damn mad at them!

Re: Editorial: The Switch eShop Library is Starting to Look Like the Real Deal

Windy

@darthstuey I should have known these prices were coming on Switch when I pre ordered the Switch. I also own a couple 3ds systems and the 3ds shop hasn't exactly been a buyer's shop. However it does have an occasional good sale which I have taken advantage of. Hopefully the Switch Shop will get some weekly sales which I will also wait for. I didn't go crazy with the Switch. I picked up Zelda, MarioKart and Cave story for Physical releases and have bought 4 Eshop titles but I'm now holding out for sales. I will get Gear. Club from the Eshop on day 1 if the price is right but I won't stand for a retail price on it should they choose to do that. Make it a physical release if your going to charge retail. I would get it if that's the case. I really like playing the games I have for Switch, but I'm pretty much RPG only in my old age. So I can be patient and wait on the Physical releases if they are going to take a year. I just wish they would be fair about the Eshop.

Re: Editorial: The Switch eShop Library is Starting to Look Like the Real Deal

Windy

To be honest this version of the Eshop seems like a smokescreen to the lack of physical releases for Switch. Not to say there are no good games in the eShop, because there are. But ShovelWare is also present. It's also all coming so fast with very long waits between a physical release. It seems like the Switch is going to make the change to digital only releases real soon. That's just a gut feeling I get.

Re: Review: NBA Playgrounds (Switch eShop)

I have had alot of fun in the single player mode. It has tight controls and plays very well. I have connected online 3 times so far and the game was unplayable and disconnected on its own. I will try online again soon as I switched my internet carrier this week. Hopefully it was bad internet.
