Re: Nintendo To Shutdown "Limited" Wii U And 3DS eShops In Select Countries

Windy

@KingBowser I actually figured that. Sorry if my reply seemed aimed at you. It wasnt plus im just pissy about the WiiU. I actually still play a couple games on it. But I still play Wii and 3ds pretty much everyday or every other day. I want to get a Switch but the price gougers have ruined that. Im an old man now and dont know if I even need a switch anymore. I have actually found out during this whole thing the Wii was a great system. Ive gotten a ton of great games for cheap. Fun to boot. Back in the Wii days I didnt apreciate the system. What im loving now is the local multiplayer games like Wii party and the fun to still be had in groups.

Re: Nintendo Forced To Offer eShop Game Refund After Russian Court Filing

Windy

To be honest sometimes game features are not included or even worse reported incorrectly. I could probably find 15 or more games on 3ds eshop which gave vague descriptions of games and either reported incorrectly or didn't report at all. I don't want any refunds though lol. Nintendo probably should have just given the guy the 8 bucks instead of making a big deal out of it.

Re: Pocket Card Jockey Dev Team Discuss The Chance Of A Sequel

Windy

A sequel would be awesome as your score Nintendolife was 3 points to low. It is the best Solitaire game ever made. I have never played Solitaire and in the end would say, Just one more time. Until I played this version. It looks great it plays great. They definately had a goodtime making Pocket Card Jockey. I seriously dont have any ideas how they could make it better. Cross breeding horses was brilliant and an excellent dimension to the game. All I can say is if you havent played Pocket Card Jockey and still have your 3ds, get in there (the Eshop) and do yourself a favor buying the best solitaire game there ever was, and will ever be lol

Re: Reminder: Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn Launches Today - Nintendo's Final Major 3DS Release?

Windy

I still play 3ds more than anything else. It has a gaming line up like no other system although Switch is starting to catch up and catching up fast. I still dont consider my switch a handheld system. I do prefer the Clamshell design myself. I hope they go to a clamshell design with Switch at some point , with the ability to just Cast your game to the tv screen.. im passing on Kirby but will get Q2. Im also hoping that they will deside to port Dragon Quest but its just about all over. Not for me as my backlog on 3ds is huge. I have at least 8 games still in shrinkwrap.

Re: The First Two Panzer Dragoon Games Are Getting Remade

Windy

@CupidStunt I was just thinking today about Panzer Dragoon Saga which was just awesome, but if I fired that up right now and played through again im sure I would have fun but would be thinking about how crappy those jagged edges look the whole way through.

Re: Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth Rated By The Australian Classification Board

Windy

I cant wait. Possibly the final release on 3ds? I still love the darn thing I hope not. They have been great about releasing Dragon Quest on 3DS hopefully Dragon Quest XI will get ported. Ive given up on Dragon Quest X ever getting a port in any form and will boycott a none online versionshould it ever get a port. Oops an angry off topic rant lol. Ive lost my mind.

Re: Talking Point: Amazon's Efforts To Tempt Gamers Show Why We Need Dedicated Games Consoles

Windy

These gadgets have along way to go with gaming. Most of the games in their respective shops have no controller options and really suck trying to play with the remote. They are great for movies and recording and stuff like that. At this point I dont yhink they will ever be a dedicated gaming machine. As far as Cellphone gaming, its come a longway but is still short of the mark with most titles. I have had some fun with a couple cellphone games but always love my 3ds over gaming on my Cell. The choices are staggering and there is fun to be had at just about every machine to play. Until someone does better I will be sticking to my systems Wii and 3ds. Hopefully getting a switch soon. I have also been tempted by ps4 because the games are so much cheaper than switch now.

Re: Future Business Shift Could See Nintendo Move Away From Home Console Development

Windy

@LuckyLand I feel the same way. I was really bummed when they decided not to produce Dragon Quest X on Wii back when it was released. It would have been the perfect MMORPg for Wii. I did enjoy Monster hunter but its not a true RPG. It was wildly popular though. They seriously dont want us playing that in north america. I setup my Wii to play online and im having a great time with that playing Animal Crossing and MarioKart. Im looking for a We Love Golf Partner but having no luck. The Wii still is alive online with a bunch of games working on the server.

Re: NIS Delays Western Release Of RPG Maker MV, Due To Ongoing Development Issues

Windy

I sure do like the 3ds version. Its so easy to use its stupid. However I have had such a brain block when putting stories together, I have yet to get a game out there for people to play. I dont want to upload some half ass'd demo of a game which usually never gets finished. There are to many of those already uploaded. There are also some very good quality RPG's uploaded. I find myself playing others uploads. Hopefully someday this block will end. I wanted to do a remake translation of Cosmic Fantasy 3 which came out on PCEngine but I need translated script and have no clue how to get that. Anyway its fun even if you just play made RPG's or Make your own.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 5th)

Windy

I am forever playing Pocket Jockey myself. I leave that icon out and get sucked in. What a surprise of a solitaire game on 3ds! They took Solitaire and actually made it fun. Ive also been playing another Miracle of a game on the Wii called Blue Ocean. Open world Diving sim which is off the hook good. Funny thing is Part 2 is even better than part 1. If you have Wii or WiiU and are looking for something totally unique pick up Both Blue Ocean and Blue Ocean 2. They are dirt Cheap 10 bucks each on ebay or around 15 new if you like a new shiny. Well worth it and educational to boot. Good stuff.

I wish 3ds had come out with more racing games with some good content. Companies really dropped the ball in regards to racing on 3ds. Mariokart 7 is awesome but sometimes you just want to sink your teeth into something a little more realistic.

Re: Future Business Shift Could See Nintendo Move Away From Home Console Development

Windy

Going to be like apple and Android now? Many different nintendo tablets to choose from? Maybe....I would also assume later that it will work like Chromecast and Apple TV. No docking just cast the game to compatable smart tv's or they make their own Nintendo cast part to hookup to your HDMI slot. I just hope it doesnt go all in on Apple and Android/PC gaming. I cant imagine playing a nintendo game without its Hardware in my hands. Maybe just a few games for android and apple like they are doing now. Videogaming is changing so fast these days. I prefer the old days and just may have bought my last Nintendo system in the 3DS and Wii. Switch is to rich for me right now but I sure wish I had one. It sucks to get old and have to pinch pennies. Still rockin what I got though.

Re: The First Two Panzer Dragoon Games Are Getting Remade

Windy

@CupidStunt I was hoping a remake of Jetset Radio would have come out on wii. Would have been awesome but oh well. I was looking through Dreamcast consoles at Ebay last night and was tempted to buy this bundle. But I have so much Baxk log between the Wii and 3ds. I will just stick with them for a while

Re: The First Two Panzer Dragoon Games Are Getting Remade

Windy

Awesome! They should remake all the rail shooters then follow up with the Great RPG they made. I loved all of them. Back then when these came out I would have told you Im never playing anything but sega consoles for the rest of my life. I miss them for sure. Yep I was a Nintendo Hater at one time.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 8th)

Windy

Well I bought Popolocrois on 3ds Today since its on sale in the Eshop for 4.99 so it looks like I will be playing that along with some Resident evil Rail shooting on my Wii. I have really got into Rail shooters on Wii lately. Talk about a treasure trove of good fun for the Wii. I never knew all these years.

Added: yep thats Wii. Not WiiU lol.

Re: The New BittBoy Can Play NES, Game Boy And Game Boy Color (Ahem) Games

Windy

Ive actually been tempted to buy one of these but the decision came down to this....Do I play any of the 40 or so classic games I downloaded on 3ds and or recieved through the Ambassador program. So I will more than likely pass cause it will collect dust on my end. It looks very cool though. Even the old 15 dollar units that have 250 games on them look sweet. It would be a nice way to play classic pokemon though.

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux (3DS)

Windy

@HolyYoshi yes I have Oasis as well and it is great. If I had to choose between Fantasy Life and Oasis it would be Fantasy Life because of the online play. Whats nice about the Fantasy life Online is that its exactly the same as playing offline. The game doesnt skip a beat. They are both nice

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux (3DS)

Windy

@HolyYoshi Im the same way. Btw you should love apocalypse. Great graphics and excellent open world gameplay. I have Shin Megami IV as well Apocolypse is identical. Its my favorite series on 3ds. Shin megami IV is my favorite 3ds game just ahead of Fantasy Life. You know if you havent bought Apocalypse yet you zhould actually get Shin megami IV if you havent played it. Its pretty cheap these days 14.99 or so. I think ive seen Apocalypse down to 24.99 on Amazon. But the 2 games are Identical with Apocalypse having new quests. The 3d is beautiful on both.

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux (3DS)

Windy

@oninowon oh yeah I also picked up Mario sports and was very disappointed with it. It seriously feels like 5 demos that have online play. I will probably trade that in for SMT. Thats a bummer about DQXI not coming to 3ds. I thought it would send the 3ds out with a bang. But they never really do send systems out with a bang do they?

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux (3DS)

Windy

@oninowon Ive still bought a few Late releases. I got MiiTopia which actually had the 3d and I found absolutely hilarious. I also bought Dragon quest 7 and 8. 8 had no 3d but is still gorgeous. I will pick up This version of SMT I have all of them on 3ds. That wont change. I love this system. Its been my favorite console (yeah he said console) of all time. I have put more time into gaming on 3ds than anything ive ever owned. I just wish I was better at Mario Golf! How in the world do people shoot 25 under par on an 18 hole course? Yikes. I have recently modded my Wii to play online again and im really enjoying that. Im hoping they will at least announce Dragon Quest X or XI for 3ds in North America. I know X isnt going to make it but I can dream..........
