Re: Gallery: Nintendo Reflects On Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ahead Of The Final Fighter Reveal

WindWakerLink

Since Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia is out, my wild card pick is Mickey Mouse. Having one of his taunts say, "Haha" will be hysterical!

I assume one of the starter pokemon from Sword and Shield would be the character but that's kinda underwhelming. This final character has to break the internet like Steve's announcement or the insane hyped around Sephiroth joining Smash.

We truly are living in a special time to have all these characters in one game. Each reveal is like a BIG pay-per-view event. Let's not take it for granted and enjoy the rest of the ride.

The HIGHEST of HYPE levels for Tuesday 10/5/21!!! LET'S GO!!!

Re: Octopath Traveler Teases Sequel On Its Third Anniversary

WindWakerLink

I haven't logged in Nintendolife in ages! Nice to be back and post again!

Now to the article, it's crazy that it's already been three years since Octopath Traveler has been out. I really loved the game. It is funny, fun, amazing soundtrack, good writing with some surprisingly dark themes, and pretty graphics.

I do agree with some of the comments that it kinda dragged for a bit.

The secret final boss though....so HARD!!!! Ridiculous, but that's how JRPG games are supposed to be. That secret boss is similar to fighting Culex from Super Mario RPG or that Omega Weapon thing from Final Fantasy 8! Ridiculously difficult! Good times. XD

Re: Video: Our 10 Favourite Winter-Themed Levels In Nintendo Games

WindWakerLink

Some of my favorites that i didnt see mention:
-FlamesGrace in Octopath Traveler
-The Snowman level in Mario Kart 64
-All snow stages in Super Mario 3D World
-The ice cave level in K. Rool's Keep in
Donkey Kong Country 2

-Snow levels in Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4. These last two aren't Nintendo exclusives but they have been on the platform.

Re: Mortal Kombat 11's $100 Premium Edition Contents Revealed

WindWakerLink

I remember a world in the 90s where, to unlock secret charcaters or stages in games, you had to do specific things or put a code. Mortal Kombat 3 for instance, at the start screen u pressed: select, a,b, forward, left, down, down, up, up to unlock "Kooler stuff". in that u unlocked 1-button fatalities, enable pause and make Smoke a playable character. Another code allowed u to play as Motaro and Shao Khan! [No paying extra money to unlock any of it!] I want that time to come back but i know it wont. Such a different time in gaming...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 Confirmed For Switch, Launches This June

WindWakerLink

HYPE!!! Super excited for Super Mario Maker 2!!! I've been wanting to play the wiiu version but i am almost out of spaces gor naking stages!

Can we all agree that their will be some kind of championship thing at Nintendo's E3 this year involving Super Mario Maker 2 like they did in 2015 for the original Super Mario Maker?

Super Mario Maker 2 dude!!! YES!!! SO MUCH WIN!!! ^__^

Re: Talent Behind Smash Bros. Ultimate 'Lifelight' Theme Song Reveals How The Opportunity Came About

WindWakerLink

Ultimate's intro is really good and highlights, in a way, the feels we had growing up with the smash series as a whole with all these characters over the years. However! My favorite intro will still be Brawl's! The sheer feels of epicness from that intro song back then and Brawl's Final Destination theme....jeez!!! Sheer awesomeness!!! I'm so glad you can pick Brawl's final destination theme for Ultimate's Final Destination stage.

Tales of Vesperia....the one Tales of game that people kept saying was one of the BEST tales of games ever over the years. Finally, i will get a chance to play this former XBox 360 exclusive. The HYPE levels continue to increase! The fact that TOV, [Tales of Vesperia], is gonna be on the Switch is amazing because there would be NO WAY this game would come on the WiiU if Switch didnt exist. Period. Good job Nintendo! You're making good moves. Keep up the tempo!

Re: 82% Of Starlink: Battle For Atlas Sales Were On Switch In UK, Only Managed 14th In Charts Debut

WindWakerLink

I am glad I read through all 100+ comments for this post. It confirms to me what I needed to know about Starlink which I could not even find on Google. You know its bad when Google cant help me answer questions about something. What I took away from the comments:

-Digital is the way to go!

-You cannot get Starlink game as a standalone physical copy.

-Get physical only if you are interested in the toys.

-Wait until this game goes on sale because Ubisoft games usually do.
[which is what I plan to do].
Look at Mario & Rabbids kingdom battle for example.

-It is a really fun game.

-Should have been Switch exclusive because of Star Fox and not even waste time releasing on xbox1 and ps4.

Thank you to everyone that comment on here! I am not being sarcastic either. I legitimately thank you all. Starlink and the information about it was so confusing and you all cleared up everything for me. Thanks again!

Re: Nintendo Wants To Be An Entertainment Company, Rather Than A Gaming One

WindWakerLink

Looks like Nintendo is going the route of Microsoft. Hmmmm.

Nintendo can do whatever they want as long as they do not forget what got them here in the first place: Their awesome games and their fans. Things are getting more expensive to make so they trying to have other routes of revenue. I am not gonna hate on their 'hustle'. Just don't neglect the quality games Nintendo. Dont be sleep out here in these gaming streets! XD

Re: Video: Super Mario Party's Online Mode Is A Real Party Pooper

WindWakerLink

@Nintendofan83 I am in the same boat with you. The only loss is not being able to play Splatoon 2. Even for Smash Ultimate I probably wont get the online service.

I know I know Switch online is cheap but the online for the original DS, 3DS, Wii and even WiiU are WAY better than the Switch! I mean...the DS Lite & 3DS has voice chat in the system! We could message people on our friends list. Basic stuff we got for free on the past systems we dont even have on the Switch yet we gotta pay? Pffft! That aint right! But when I say all this, I come off as some ungrateful person. We cannot be so blind to not see what is happening!

Re: Nintendo Offering Exclusive Splatoon 2 Gear For 12-Month Switch Online Subscribers

WindWakerLink

We got more features on the original Wii, Original Nintendo 3DS and Wii U than we have on the Switch but now charging for the online for the Switch? Charging for online Switch is annoying when we had more features and free online on past Nintendo systems!

I guess today will be my last day playing Splatoon 2 multiplayer because I can't see myself paying for this Switch online service in the current state it is in. The whole "Gotta check in with 7 days on your Switch or you cannot play those NES games" sounds so much like the DRM thing XBOX 1 was trying to do back in 2013;
You lose your cloud saves if you dont renew the service; playing the same old NES games we had play on past Nintendo consoles for the umpteenth time. Yes, I understand these games got added an online component to them which is cool. However, that does not take away the fact that we are getting less and paying more for it.

There is NO FREAKING this is Nintendo of America or Europe! This has to be from that "old guard of Nintendo of Japan!" WHAT INTERESTING TIMES WE ARE LIVING IN!!!!!! I cant wait to see how things play out in the coming months with this Switch online stuff. It sucks that people are gonna get this thing while realizing it or not that we are paying MORE and getting LESS!!!! (Sigh) No Nintendo. I'm not getting your online service. Not like this...
