@bilboa Mediocre? I'd argue that's a harsh assessment of Oceanhorn. There may have been some fawning from mobile gamers, but even the PC sites have given it pretty solid reviews.

It's wasn't my favorite game to play on iOS, but I've found it effective as an example to those who think mobile gaming is nothing more than swiping gems around and launching pigs at stuff.

Titles like Oceanhorn are why informed gamers just laugh when people say there are no good games on mobile devices. Loved this on my iPad, and I'll love it again on the Switch.

@MegaVel91 And Fire Emblem Warriors will more likely work like Hyrule Warriors, I suppose. But with the vast number of characters from which they can pull, I'm hoping we get more of a Warriors Orochi style system.

@MegaVel91 In story mode on Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, you could battle as any character you've already unlocked. Story events still unfolded regardless. Fire Emblem Warriors may not work that way, but I'm hoping it does.

Those worried there won't be enough characters or attack variations in Fire Emblem Warriors obviously never played Warriors Orochi Hyper 3 on the Wii U. And who cares if the new main characters look generic? No one's going to use them anyway.

Those new mission stages are providing my first use for gold points. Glad I didn't waste them on something stupid.

The gesture, by its very nature, is meant to offend. You don't tell someone "Up yours!" without the intent to offend. You don't flip someone off without the intent to offend. You don't give someone the DX crotch chop (am I dating myself?) without the intent to offend. Marshawn Lynch doesn't grab his crotch after completing the best run in NFL playoff history without the intent to offend. So, everyone needs to settle down when people actually get, you know, offended. That said, now I have one less excuse when my five year old repeats this behavior at day care. "He learned it from his mother" is starting to run a little thin.

@SanderEvers And you're likely right. But again, what we're doing here is speculating. (Also, I still reserve hope that we'll get an English release of "New Mystery of the Emblem" before it's all said and done, even if that wouldn't count as a new FE game.)

@SanderEvers Right, but that doesn't mean there won't be another FE game for the 3DS following that. It makes it unlikely, granted, but until Nintendo officially states that, it's speculation.

This'll serve as a fun, arcade-style break from all the JRPGs I'm getting behind on. If I need a filler title, it may as well be Pikmin.

Not sure why every gets so angry about DLC. Easy enough to not buy, and it's not like the game will suffer without it; you're still getting a complete game with your original purchase.

I have a feeling I'll be buying this. The DLC was overkill in Fates, which was already three games combined into one. By the time I got to Revelations I was so tired of the game that I completely skipped the DLC and the paralogues despite the bonuses therein. Here, I have a feeling the DLC will be more fresh and useful.

I lost interest in CoD when it left WWII and a decent single-player campaign behind. They're 50% on track here, so I'd consider a purchase, but don't expect I'll need to.

@AlternateButtons Entitled? Nah. I just prefer to get my news and features in articles that can be read in two minutes as opposed to videos that take 18 minutes to watch. Also, it's easier to come back and reference text than to try to find a specific point in a YouTube embed.

I quit going to IGN and started coming here SPECIFICALLY because I could read articles instead of being forced to watch them.

Greatly enjoyed the original...it's one of the few games I never traded in after completing in case I wanted to give it another go. If the new features and visual upgrade are significant enough, I'll buy the new version.

Enjoyed the demo, but was surprised it was only three levels. I'm interested in buying, but not until someone can confirm how many levels are built into the game.

Got it pre-ordered, taking the day off from work to pick it up and get started, and am hoping Zelda and I Am Setsuna will keep me occupied until the games I REALLY want are released later this year. Meanwhile, the kids will have to sit tight for LEGO City Undercover and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

This game was pure joy from start to finish. I doubt I'd play it again, but I'll certainly pick it up so my kids (who were a bit too young for the Wii U version) can play the co-op mode.

Such a waste of resources to have a box that give for a card that small...like the long boxes they used to wrap around CDs, as mentioned above), and which thankfully went out practice fairly quickly. Benefit to the small card is that it can't get scratched or (as easily) cracked as a disc, but you can bet all of my kids' purchases will be digital downloads; these cards will be lost within five minutes of purchase.

I'm amused by people complaining that they'll have to pay extra for DLC content. It's like complaining that you have to pay extra for a slice of pie after the restaurant has already served you your steak and shrimp.

If the game is good, I'll pay the amount I feel it's worth. The article above clearly states that you don't need to spend money to play through the game, and do you really NEED to collect all of the heroes in order to have fun with the game? What other Fire Emblem game offered you "hundreds upon hundreds of heroes," as the article states? If it offers up as much gameplay time as, say, Fire Emblem Awakening, then $40 for 75 orbs seems a fair price to pay.

Very fun game. Played the iOS version on TV via AirPlay and a MFi controller, and felt that was the proper way to do it. And to be fair, it's less of a rip-off than an homage.

Most annoying part about this would be having to send it away. The WiFi in my Wii U Game Pad crapped out at one point...wouldn't connect unless the Game Pad was within two feet of the console. Didn't mind paying $80 to get it fixed, but I did mind sending it away for two weeks.

An official English translation and release of New Mystery of the Emblem on VC is all I'd need to call this day a success.

Just got back from a local GameStop. They have 34 preorders available, and only four of us were at the door when the store opened, so I hope that's not indicative of overall interest.

I'm VERY excited for the Switch, but that may be a psychological reaction. The Switch is the only thing capable of carrying me through the next four years as an American citizen.

If that Nintendo Switch project is a Fire Emblem game, then they couldn't cancel Crashmo fast enough for me.

Why does anyone pretend to care about the Game Awards? The only thing more useless than an awards show is people's opinion of awards shows.

I'd rather get a Xenoblade Chronicles port for the Switch than Xenoblade Chronicles X. I know they've already done that for the New 3DS, but getting a high-def version of that beautiful game on the big screen would be fantastic. X already looks good and plays well enough on the Wii U, so the improvement will be minimal.

That said, it was perfectly good time on the Wii U, and I have no interest in seeing it on anything else. I'd rather they just develop a sequel because I think we all need to delve a bit deeper into the life of Frank Honey.

Different style game created for a larger audience in a safe attempt to raise some cash flow and increase the fanbase. That strategic decision certainly does justify the amount of female dogging and moaning going on here.

Warriors Orochi III Hyper, LEGO City Undercover, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X...I feel bad for everyone who chose to miss these games.

The best game nights I've had with my family have been when connecting the iPhone to Apple TV and playing the iOS versions of the Ace Attorney games on the large screen TV. We each pick a character to act out, then argue over how to win the case.

505 Games has officially announced they're publishing Bloodstained for Wii U, along with Windows, Linux, PS4, Vita, and macOS. Well, the official statement was that they've acquired the rights to publish it across multiple platforms, and that it's in "full production" for those listed. Definitely playing it, but I'll wait and buy it after some walkthroughs become available. I know from past experience that I'll need some help.

I enjoyed this game, as with all of them, but I was disappointed by the fact that you HAVE to make all decisions, good or bad, in order to get to the ending. Being faced with difficult moral/ethical decisions is not a big deal if you know you're justing going to have to turn right around and go the other way.

Yeah, thank God this turned out the way it did. I'd still rather see a Fire Emblem / Dynasty Warriors crossover, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions is MUCH better than watching Ike's Mercenaries battle it out with Team Rocket.

Keep Pokemon Go, get rid of cars. Happier planet, healthier planet.

I think it's time to pick new captains. Give it to Monolith Soft and Bandai, rename it Morrigan & KOS-MOS at the X Zone Olympics, bring in about 40 playable characters and pepper it with some not-so-subtle S&M humor, and now you've got a game.
