Not sure I understand the need for hosts, or events that require hosts. Developer demos and trailers for new announcements (in otherwords, Nintendo Direct style "events") are all that's necessary. Just line 'em up and let us watch.

I was hyped for Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey after getting a demo at E3, but the final product was a let-down. I never finished it, but this game could be fun with some retooling.

Now we just need a Switch remake of the Chaos Rings series.

The bright side it listening to people complain about it as if it's something that matters.

Grinding is less annoying when it doesn't feel like grinding.

The line between scary and goofy is so very thin.

Work the grinding into optional side quests and I rarely even notice. Then, make a few optional quests/bosses only beatable after grinding to reward those who want to bother with it. In other words, take the Xenoblade Chronicles approach.

You know EA just absolutely dreads the success of Nintendo devices. They have to restore power to dozens of offices, wake up hundreds of employees from their corporate induced comas, and have them attempt to make a game for a system they barely understand. Just let them sleep, man. Let them sleep.

@ViewtifulJotun I'd start with XC1 just based on time. Took me about 120 hours to finish it while playing trough as many of the 450 side quests as I could find. XC2 took about 250 hours with the DLC.

"...we wanted to create something against trends." Right, except do you know what game already did that? Untitled Goose Game, except with creativity. All these developers did was take every game that ever involved a weapon and simply removed the point.

Gave up on this series a long time ago. I think people are too forgiving of it because of the two or three games that actually were any good.

I just want for the rare drops to be a little less rare. I'm too old now to fight a monster, not get what I want, then fall asleep on the floor waiting for it to regenerate so I can fight it again when I wake up.

As much as it bothers me that Trauma Center/Team isn't on the list, I'd rather they give us a new game than a port.

Despite what the writer says here, the Fire Emblem connection is dubious. About five characters from the franchise show up (in masks) and help you in battle, and you spend a bunch of time talking to Tiki. That's pretty much it. It's still a very fun game, but if you're picking it up solely for the FE connection you're going to be very disappointed.

@princezorldo Totally agree. There's not a single costume for any character that looks better than the defaults. Considering it's a collaboration with Koei Tecmo, I expected something like what we get from the Dynasty Warriors and Sarmuari Warriors games. But oh well...I don't play games for the dress-up options.

Had it, deleted it, won't go back. Too many games out there that, you know, work from the start to bother trying this again.

Of course I'm going to buy this console, but I'll likely never play Earthworm Jim. I just want all the old Intellivision games.

The label is necessary, so the simple solution is to put an alternative cover on the flip side that players can swap out after they've opened the box. Other games already do this, after all.

Characters from the Last Story have already surfaced on mobile devices in Mistwalker's Terra Battle. That's a fantastic game (too bad the sequel was such a mess). I wouldn't be surprised if Mistwalker has Nintendo's blessing to release a true Last Story game for mobile.

The older I get, the more I hate playing video games with 12-year-old characters. That and my annoyance with talking animals is really interfering with my love for JRPGs. I'll pass on this.

I will also have to read the study to see if they take preconditioning for violence into account. Are these kids already prone to violence, and that's what attracts them to the game? If they didn't play violent video games, would they just find another outlet for their aggression?

I gave up on this game on the Wii because the motion controls were too finicky. Any comment on whether they work better with the Joy-Con?
