wow....$30 each?! too rich for my blood I am afraid
@Liam_Doolan I think the release date for Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is incorrect. January 1st has already passed.
Edit: Thanks for fixing it so quickly.
@GyroZeppeli Thanks.
I was interested in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy but the price is too high for a 15 year old game that doesn't look like it's had much of a remastering, if any. £15/$20 would have been the right price. The Raven and Rad Rodgers look interesting but they didn't review well. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 I bought on Wii U for really cheap and gave up on it very quickly. I recall it being clunky to play with a really poor framerate. Bugs and glitches seem to be quite common with THQ Nordic releases.
$30USD each? That's a great price compared to how much Nitneod charge for their Wii U ports.
SPHINX HAS A PHYSICAL VERSION IN CANADA AND US ANYWAYS
So Sphinxs is not a remaster?
@Dayton311 Give it 3-4 months and they'll be £3-5 each in a sale. THQ games these days ALWAYS get heavily discounted and normally quickly on systems like XBONE and PS4.
I’ve got quite a few thq Nordic games on my PS4 from a humble bundle. I think Rad Rogers looks fun, but I’ll wait for the heavy discount before I bite.
Well, nope x 4 = nope.
That’s my math, I’m sticking with it
So many big games in Jan-Feb elsewhere no reason to drop $30 on any of this on Switch.
Sphinx Is $15 on Steam. Maybe as a $5 steam sale.
Greeeeat! More games that I don't care about.
I enjoyed Sphinx & is the most interesting of the group to me! Actually have the game on PS2 and GameCube but I’ll redip 15 years later on Switch!!
I'd be interested in giving Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy another shot. I originally played it on the PS2 fifteen years ago and though I don't remember much about it, I do remember it being pretty good. I also remember I only paid like twenty bucks for it, I'm sure as hell not paying thirty for it now!
Gotta buy The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 just because of the wonderful trailer.
Maybe Rad Rogers once it's on 9.99 sale. Give us Wreckfest on Switch, I would buy that DayOne for 60.
Sphinx is a superb game and I'll definitely be picking this up when the price dips a bit. I think it's also getting a physical release in Europe as GameStop have it listed.
Have they released a trailer for the Switch version yet?
article seems to be suggest Sphinx is an original game but sounds like it is actually a remaster?
Thanks for the comments, everybody! After seeing actual gameplay for a couple of these, I will wait for a sale!
Wait... Cosmo? How cool is this? (I didn't know THQ is owning old ID Software licenses.)
Where is Commander Keen?
Full nostalgia mode ON!
Yes, the would, but absolutely not at that price. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a great Zelda clone but it is too short and ends on a cliffhinger, and the series was discontinued. I am not paying £26.99 for a 15yr old game though.
I had sphinx on the gc, and it was alright, I guess. I shan't be purchasing any of these.
"You shon't?"
I shannot.
@gerebris Yes it is. It is the HD re-release that is also available on Steam. That's even clear from this one screen shot in the article here. The original GameCube/PS2 version never looked that sharp.
@quinnyboy58 No offense, but where does the article suggest that? I've re-read it a couple of times, to see what I missed, but nothing in that text even remotely suggests that it isn't the HD remastered version.
A wholesome slew of European productions.
The Raven looks interesting, but those teeth just creep me right out! If you're going to model all the teeth inside someone's mouth, please make sure the textures and materials actually make them look like teeth, and not chucks of moldy cheese and rotting flesh.
Nope. THQ what the hell are you doing? You have so many games in your catalog that you can bring over and someone in a suit decided these four games needed to come to the Switch. Hope someone gets fired.
These all look...gross and generic and just kinda polished garbage. I heard some nice things about Rad Rogers tho.
