I don't think we'll see Bayonetta until it's 3 months from launch. As that tends to be how Nintendo Markets stuff.

@Dr_Lugae @outsider83 I'd be on the forums talking about FFVIIR more, but the things I'd be talking about would be huge spoilers. Can't wait for part 2, I had high expectations going in, and they absolutely nailed it. Best battle system in a Final Fantasy game since X-2, and the care and detail put into Midgar was fantastic.

Two really minor quibbles from stopping it being perfect. The section leading up to the 2nd bombing mission is just too long, and the NPCs look a bit bland in their designs compared to the original.

Nintendo really should have redesigned them by now. I can't believe they released the Switch lite with joycons attached. It'll do the brand damage in the end.

I've given up on them, and got an 8bitdo controller instead. 3 pairs of joycon drifting out of 3, is a crazy failure rate.

Yeah same, I can't believe it's taken nintendo this long to address the issue. It makes some games unplayable like Xenoblade.

I bought 3 sets of joycon to play Bomberman 6 player, and unfortunately they now all drift. Never had this problem with a console before, and I've been playing since the snes.

I've bought an 8bitdo controller to play my Switch games, and it's been great so far.

@BlackenedHalo I don't think it's a perfect game, but it's not a bad one. It's the Fallout New Vegas of this gen.

Yeah pretty much this. You're allowed to go out for a walk and play pokemon go if you want. You're allowed to go for a walk with one other person as well.

I'm assuming they were in a group of more than two people, that or the police are just out of touch with reality.

Neither would surprise me, either way the police probably have better things to be doing, than posting on Twitter about pokemon go.

The Reboot is the reason I bought an Xbox, such a great game. Feels completely different to any other fighting game.

Just allow users to give a star rating after they've played it for 3 hours. Then just sort by most 4 and 5 star reviews.

@John_Deacon I've got it on PS4 and it's great. It's like the old games but the inputs are more lenient, some of the Super Moves are great. I particularly like the kid with the umbrella's super.

Well King of Fighters looks more colourful, hopefully gameplay trailer is out soon. Looking at supers is nice, but they looked cool in the previous game.

@Zanzox Kof XIV is my favourite to actually play. The new one just needs better stages, more colour and rollback online multiplayer.

So weird they cancelled the event so last second.

I think Paper Mario is missing because of folks gaming the system. The fact so many have mentioned it in the comments, says it all really.

The 'console wars' are just a hangover from kids in the playground, arguing over which console their mom and dad, got them for Christmas.

I've got the PS4 and Xbox for £100 each, and the Switch I got on the Argos Card. You don't have to break the bank to get access to all the cool games on each.

I don't see the point in not being able to play FFVII Remake, Killer Insinct or Splatoon 2 because of brand loyalty of all things

I really want a good powerstone-esque fighter in my life, hopefully this is good.

@JR150 FFVII Remake is stunning, Persona 5 oozes style. Xenoblade 2 just looks Ok, not bad but only a level above a tales game.

I think both Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Xenoblade 2 also paddle into Japanese weirdness deeper than FFVII Remake, and not in a Yakuza tongue in cheek way. That makes them have less mass appeal.

I wonder if instead of a star rating system, nintendo could show average play time. You could filter out the games with a playtime of less than an hour, to get rid of the trash.

3 sets of joy cons all with drift, makes certain games like fighting games and xenoblade unplayable. I've been playing games for 25 years and this is the first time I've experienced this kind of failure rate.

They need to redesign them before I buy any more.

I wonder if having an option to increase the deadzone would fix the issues over night. Nintendo needs to do something though.

It's the switch lite buyers I feel sorry for.

Yeah Let it Die isn't that great. I'd say Grasshopper's best games are the below.

Killer7 - interesting on rails shooter, mixed with resident evil style puzzles. Art style is great, and the story is really unique. It's like watching a film with half the scenes missing.

No More Heroes - fun action game, the game is really meta, in a clever way. The sequel plays better, but isn't as smart and feels a bit by the numbers.

Shadows of the Damned - I'd say this is their best game from a gameplay stand point. It plays like Resident Evil 4 set in hell.

Lollipop Chainsaw - No More Heroes, but you play as a cheerleader. Quite a fun game, not amazing, but entertaining from start to finish.

I haven't played fatal frame 4 but I'd love to, really like maiden of blackwater.

If they made soundtracks available for purchase, I'd be fine with it. However like people have already said, they're targeting music they never intend to sell. So I really don't see the harm in them being on YouTube.

For every video they take down, they should put one up on their own channel. Then people still get to listen to the music they like, and nintendo gets a bit of money from the videos. Everybody wins.

However Nintendo historically seems to prefer the everybody loses scenario.

I played the Silver Case and was pretty disappointed. I thought flower, sun and rain was the better game, and even that I'd struggle to recommend.

Ys VIII is the best RPG I've played on Switch. So looking forward to this one.

I like these award shows because they usually highlight games I've missed. Ones that come to mind in recent years(What Remains of Edith Finch, Disco Elysium and Hellblade.)

Would all be cool, if the Devs ever get their hands on these. The feature I'd love is being able to play these games split screen, while also playing online.

I don't get why Nintendo don't just release Smash Bros melee on Switch, with rollback netcode. I guarantee they'd turn a profit, and they'd eliminate all the negative PR. They could even outsource it to another developer, like what SNK has done with Code Mystics.

I'm not fussed either way, it's nice to have a few surprises now though.

Please let Power Stone be true. There's no modern game that plays like it.

I've played animal crossing for 200+ hours, but it's got a lot of flaws. I don't think it deserves game of the year.

FFVII Remake gets my vote. By far the best game I've played this year.

@Park_Triolo I've got 4 pairs of joy con all with the drift issue. That's £200 worth of issue. None of my other controllers have the issue. I've got 3 Xbox One Controllers, two PS4 Controllers, a load of Wii nunchuck and pro controllers and none of them have drift.

I don't believe I'm overly aggressive with controllers. I've tried replacing the sticks, but I could only get the screws off one of the controllers.

I've bought an 8bitdo receiver so I can use my old controllers, but it sucks I've wasted so much money on joy cons. Nintendo should release a new model of joycon that fixes the issue.

It's a very pretty game with some cool scenes. Not on the level of Journey, but worth a play at that price.

The swimming controls are a bit meh, and it would be nice if games like this Included some puzzles.

The last update that I found interesting was the swimming one. Picked up my time at Portia while it was on sale, and that will soak up my time.

I wish Animal Crossing would add some quality of life improvements. Everything feels like it takes way too long to do.

Hopefully Microsoft buys them, it would make the pick between PS5 and Xbox series X a little easier. Plus modern day Nintendo would just sit on most of Segas IPs the same way Sega currently does.

I tend to get digital unless there's a really cool limited edition. Don't have the space for all the games anymore, plus modern games don't have instruction manuals. So I can do without the extra plastic.

Yeah this has been on my wishlist for a while. Waiting for a price drop. It needs to be around the £20 mark.

@SirAileron doesn't Ultimate already have a replay feature? Doesn't that mean the game is already recording players inputs/gamestate. Isn't that why when the game is patched replays are deleted. As the replays are generated by the recorded inputs. If the inputs are already being recorded, surely the overhead for implementing rollbacks is significantly reduced.

@teo_o didn't a fan manage to implement it into Smash Bros Melee. Also Lethal League Blaze uses it, which is four player.

I kinda assumed nintendo would move Paper Mario into more of an action game like Super Paper Mario and keep the Mario and Luigi games as the RPG series.

I think it's important to recognise that the people pestering developers on Twitter represent a very small fraction of the fan base of Paper Mario. I'd guess a significant percentage of players are under the age of 10 and care little about the type of gameplay it has, as long as they're fun. Which judging by reviews the most recent game is.

5000 people complaining on twitter(I don't think there's even that many) shouldn't really get to dictate the content of a game played by a million. It's probably a lot more interesting for developers working on new mechanics, rather than recycling old ones.

@giantenemycrab True but I think it's worth it to do reviews of obscure old games like this as well. I've never heard of this game, and it sounds pretty unique. I think there's just as much value in reviewing stuff like this, as there is this weeks newest indie metroidvania with rogue like elements.
