The focus for Nintendo in recent weeks has been on Super Nintendo World, which will open in Japan early next year. The video game giant has already held a special Direct presentation for the park and each day more footage of it is surfacing online.
In today's update, we've got a new Universal Studios Japan commercial along with some photos and video footage of Yoshi's Adventure Ride. As you can see, it features characters like Baby Mario and even Poochy, who started out in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Enjoy!

Earlier this week, we got a look at 'Chonky' Toad and a group of Pikmin. Captain Toad and Princess Peach also featured. What do you think of the latest footage? How about the new trailer? Share your thoughts down below.

There's some nightmare audio.
Neat how the wheelchair accessible vehicles are themed to Yoshi Eggs.
Goodness. The thought of one day visiting that park excites me way more than I want it to
Also hopefully ride footage of Mario Kart Koopa's Challenge comes soon!
the Yoshi’s ride is too adorable 🥰!
the Mario Kart ride with Rainbow Road looks amazing 🤩🌈🏁🏎🏎🏎🏁🌈🤩!!!
They really put a whole lotta work into making it look fabulous. I sorta wanna go now!
Lay off the fruit yoshi.
I’m loving the Yoshi’s Story music in the background. It’d be fun if they added in some kind of target shooting as a throwback to Yoshi’s Safari.
Looks like the ride was designed for Baby Mario and Baby Luigi
Looks fun but who ever recorded the footage for the YouTube video did a bad job.
I love the contrast between the commercial and the video of an actual ride. It seems I'm on the minority here but it seems kinda lame. Good for the people that enjoy this though.
Looks lovely but incredibly slow. Even for kids it's slow. Gives you a great view though and maybe that's what this particular ride is about.
it looks nice but the park seems like the things to do so far are very dull. hope there are some more exciting things to do there other than just look at nice things very slowly
Shame the video has been made by someone who doesn't know how to use their camera ! What's the betting they used their iPad to make this ?! I turned it off after a minute, will wait for some better footage once it's open.
Unpopular opinion: Super Nintendo World is the definition of uninspired. The most basic Mario elements and nothing else. They should’ve done something more unique.
It reminds me of the "It's a Small World" ride.
Slow, relaxing music and you just enjoy the views.
Perfect for kids.
Wow that looks dull! Definitely not worth queuing for this ride.
@tourjeff
Its a small world looks way better though. This is just boring.
Looking forward to the unveiling of the other Nintendo themed rides/attractions at this theme park; F-Zero white knuckle rollercoaster, Star Fox VR ride, a donkey derby style ride through Hyrule on Epona etc. What?? It's all Mario themed!?! Wtf! But it's Super Nintendo World is it not??
@Tipehtfomottob from what I understand they're looking to expand on this at some point with a Donkey Kong area etc. I can't say for sure if that's actually true or not, but I think I read that a while back - you might be able to find out some more with a quick Google, not sure.
My gosh it looks UNBELIEVABLE!! watching with tears in my eyes so god knows what I'd be like if I was lucky enough to actually go there for REAL!
This looks visually amazing but that ride looks terrible! I think they forgot that mostly adults play Nintendo. All the kids in my family only really play playstation..
@Sandro89 they made this ride for babies. I think they forgot they're biggest fans are full grown adults in their 30s
Lovely a nice gentle ride for us gaming elders.
At least the tea and cream cake won't come backup.
I would like to see a thrill ride based on the Galaxy games. While I’m not big on needing glasses to experience theme park attractions. I think a 4D ride, following Mario going from planet to planet would be fun. To make it more interesting, the levels are enhanced versions from the game and it’s not always the same experience. You’ll get a different batch of planets, each ride. The sensation of flying from on planet to the next. Surrounded by stars and the feel of wind. The impact upon landing. Feeling all the elements.
that's a cute (though maybe a bit to generic) little ride that I could see myself go on if I ever go to japan when I'm able to go
which is probably never ¯(ツ)/¯
And at the end of each ride you exit into a gift shop.
This is meant to be a sight seeing tour with no height limit that has very high capacity that gives some kinetic movement to the land. It's basically the Peoplemover, but with traditional Omnimover vehicles.
Mario Kart will be the real E Ticket if y'all don't want a kiddie ride. Or go on any of the other thrill rides like Forbidden Journey, Hollywood Dream The Ride, or the Flying Dinosaur.
If you just hate seeing this ride, Universal Hollywood will not have Yoshi, only Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge. They've already used the ride system for the Secret Lives of of Pets dark ride.
For anyone criticizing this as nothing special... this is (in theme park parlance) a C-Ticket ride. It's a sort of relaxing and scenic attraction like the skyway ride at many parks or the peoplemover at Disney World. Older folks and particularly children love these things.
I can see this being part of like a universal theme park, but it looks like it gets boring quick after the mario theming wears off. Kinda like the harry potter parts of universal.
I hope there’s some Zelda thrown in there too, it’s called super NINTENDO world, and all I’m seeing is mario
its a good ride to take a nap on.
Looks bad. Its 2020 and a brand new park! Where is all the tech, the tricks, the new stuff? This is a bad version of rides done thousands of times! Missed opportunity.
@Chris55
Mario Kart will be that ride that you're hoping for with its AR elements that's never been done before along with all the interactivity points that require you to solve puzzles to get to the final boss compared to the comparatively simplistic wands that required you to do a motion and then a thing would happen.
Most theme park sections these days only open with one really big ride and one or two more simplistic rides. I. E Cars Land with Radiator Springs Racers and the two flat rides and Harry Potter with two decade old rollercoasters.
I never thought I'd say it but the more I see of the park, the less I'm interested in going.
