Voted for the North American one, the action shot is nice compared to the characters just standing there on the Japanese one.

@DK-Fan Terraforming was a welcome addition, DIYs on the other hand should be scrapped in the new game. Buying furniture is so much more convenient than scrounging up resources and then building things. I say it's bare bones because it has a severe lack of furniture and clothing. Previous entries had way more items to decorate with not to mention how dull the animals have become. I remember they used to comment on things near by in New Leaf, like when you stood near an animals house they would ask if you were going to visit the owner. Or how they noticed things like if you had plants in your home. Now they just talk about the walk they're on, all day every day. Tortimer Island also being absent means far less to do with friends online. Terraforming and the QoL improvements this game has are wonderful but I can't find any reason to revisit this game, there's nothing to do.

@Pokester99 I gave up waiting, the game was unfortunately released bare bones and will probably stay that way but I hope I'm wrong.

The Mega Man one is my favorite, it's awful like the original!

@mrbob1213 I didn't say it wasn't illegal I just said leaking it, as in an employee dumping the data online, is not AS criminal as being an outsider and hacking into the database to get this data. One is a breach of corporate contract and one is a serious crime. Both are bad but one is worse.

@mrbob1213 True it is secret (or was secret), but hacking their servers is like breaking and entering to get this kind of data while having it be leaked would be far less criminal.

@Ogbert Oh yeah Kirby and Kirby related things definitely make more cameo appearances than something like Pokémon. I really liked the cameo treasures in The Great Cave Offensive. However, Kirby cameos are somewhat uncommon. In Animal Crossing New Leaf there were furniture items for dormant franchises like Star Fox, F-Zero and Metroid but nothing for Kirby even though his franchise is way more active than those three combined. I think Nintendo still needs approval before they can use Kirby and the related characters in other games, it might just be something like a simple "yes" from Hal Laboratory. Probably much simpler than getting a character like Mega Man to appear in a game, I imagine characters like him involve complicated legal contracts.

@SoapMonkey I'm not denying Splatoon's popularity, I just think it's surprising Nintendo is embracing it so much.

@chapu2006 @Ogbert I've always considered Pokémon and Kirby to be second party franchises to Nintendo since they were made outside of Nintendo. Yes they're close to Nintendo and have long histories with Nintendo but they don't seem to be a part of it. Pokémon and Kirby don't cross over into other Nintendo franchises like Animal Crossing with furniture or Mario Kart with racers and that might be because Nintendo doesn't fully own them.

Man those are expensive!

Also I'm surprised Splatoon managed to be one of the four major franchises here instead of something like Donkey Kong.

I don't even like it that much but I don't see why they couldn't just make an offline version of this game instead of removing it for everyone. Getting tired of Nintendo killing of their games.

This artist also drew the Smash roster as famous cartoon characters, I particularly liked Ridley drawn in the style of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

I voted Japan, Europe's looks bland and generic.

@Friendly Don't care about Witcher but I'd be soo disappointed if the next Castlevania game was Netflix exclusive. I hope their game service only uses the IPs Netflix owns.

@blindsquarel I remember a story where two guys climbed a mountain (I think it was MT Everest) and they each brought along a DS to play games on. All of their other electronics like laptops broke at the high altitude but the two DS continued to work. Nintendo's consoles were incredibly durable but I've always had their controllers break on me or become worn down.

The concept Wii remotes remind of that one fast food toy Wii remote that shot discs out the top of it when pulling down on it's D-Pad but I can't find pictures of it.

@fafonio As a backer of the Kickstarter I personally have not had major issues with it. Just had to wait longer for things to arrive like you said. My guess for the delay for the DLC would be the government lock-downs.

I have heard problems for the European backers, like unexpected fees, missing packages etc.

@TheFox The reason Trifox looks this way is probably because it's from a new studio, so the developers probably wanted to reduce the development time and save money by keeping the graphical quality lower.

@nessisonett You can remap the controls for PC games to work with a controller on Steam. I did it for a few games and it worked fine. If you don't feel like setting the controls yourself you can download controller layouts created by other users on Steam too.

North America's looks bad. I'm not sure if that's a hillside behind the dragon or it's the rest of it's body.

I've got no issue with Samus joining Fortnite but if this turns out to be the only Metroid related news at E3 I'll be disappointed.

@PBandSmelly For the most part I think you're right but Banjo & Kazooie keep popping up these days so I get the feeling we could see a new game or remake in the near future. It happened for the Battle Toads and Perfect Dark so Microsoft has been making use of Rare's IPs recently.

Good on them for keeping things the way it was meant to be.

@Mr-Fuggles777 I don't think Birdo counts as anthro because they're a made up species, Nintendo didn't take something that already existed and give it human features and characteristics which is what anthropomorphism is.

I kinda only care about Bandai Namco for this line up.

I wonder if other games are having issues like this. My copy of Super Mario 3D Land worked late last year and that was one of my oldest 3DS games. Then again, my copies of Animal Crossing: Wild World and Phantom Hourglass are even older and they still work so maybe it's just the Pokemon games.
