Why is the Diamond Sword here? That's a weapon not jewelry. Shoulda gone with one of the armor pieces from Minecraft.

Voted for North America for it's yellow background, the others are far too basic to me.

Hope this reduces the amount of hackers playing on Switch and other platforms, it's no fun to play against a cheater.

@MajorasLapdog Thanks for the info! I'll try the Wii collection I already have before deciding to buy more from this franchise. Shame about the censorship though. Not bothered by voice acting changes too much as long as the replacement can do the same level or a better performance.

@edgedino I rarely play a game more than once, so them not having branching paths or different endings isn't a bad thing to me.

I think I have a trilogy for this franchise on Wii but hardly touched it, are these games worth going through?

I had no idea this existed until now so I can't say I'll miss it.

I started with Wild World and played every main line game since, even going back to the GameCube one. I wonder if they'll have an item or in game event for New Horizons to celebrate the anniversary...

North America wins for me. Kirby looks like he's actually tumbling in that design.

@SeaFishelle Don't know if that's a good thing, it might bolster their bad behavior, the writers shouldn't have to bear their vile words and actions however.

@Spiders True, some of Mega Man's greatest tracks come from that game.

@dustinprewitt Outside of a small handful of games there is basically no point in revisiting the NES today.

Mega Man II is terrible, one of reasons is that one boss in Wiley's Castle can only be defeated by the Crash Bomb and you need a full ammo bar to do it, use any before the fight or miss a shot or something and you have to start over. I enjoyed every Mega Man game afterward but II is my least favorite for many other reasons.

Also, Super Mario Bros. beat out Metroid? What???

@Luigisghost669 At this point there is a market over saturation for these kinds of games. Reminds me of all the Minecraft clones and zombie games from a few years back.

Also noticed one of the two games he gave a 10/10 to was Super Metroid, a man with a fine taste!

@Kilroy Comparing two different fan projects is not like apples and oranges, sure there is differences between them but they're still fan made products using Nintendo's IPs. I know about video game metal covers, all I'm saying is that people should pick this album up in case Nintendo notices it's existence and then they may or may not take action against it. Better safe than sorry.

@Kilroy I dunno, Nintendo has taken other things down for far less like AM2R which was free but just used the Metroid IP.

@ModdedInkling For the U.S. that's true, but not for other regions of the globe. (Unless he appeared in the Nintendo Directs for Europe and Asia)

@HotGoomba Satoru Iwata is what made Nintendo great in that era not Reggie. I know a lot of people like him (and I do too) but I really don't think Reggie is all that important now, Iwata left an amazing legacy when he was at Nintendo and Hal Laboratory the same can't be said for Reggie.

@vanYth Nintendo is far too lazy to animate animals doing more than just sitting down, pretending to fish, pretending to catch bugs, pretending to eat food etc. Heck, you don't even see them climb onto the carousel or climb the towers in Pocket Camp, they just teleport in place.

This will probably just let you take photos of Pikmin with real world objects. Kinda like the AR cards that came with the 3DS.

Man this game is 9 years old now? It was the first game I picked out for my 3DS. Had fun with it but never beat it.

@Kalmaro They ported or remade Miitopia so I could see this being possible.

@nessisonett My sister loved the first PokéPark but thought the sequel was bad. I think it lacked the mini games and other things that made the original great.

That's nice to hear, a lot of people think companies are cut throat enemies but in reality they're made of individuals and they can form any relationship or opinion they want of their competitors.

@ModdedInkling @FluffiestP1llow I wasn't saying ModdedInkling's opinion was wrong nor was I saying he/she couldn't have it. I don't even think that The Last of Us 2 should have won game of the year primarily because of the reasons ModdedInkling stated but also because of how divisive it was among many people. Some thought it was the greatest, others thought it was the worst. Agree with what side you want but a game that was as controversial as that doesn't deserve to have won. I just brought it up because that game was the one that won game of the year 2020.

Personally I don't think New Horizons should have won game of the year either because of how barren it is in terms of features and game play and it's soundtrack is awful. I fully understand it's cultural impact (because I play the game) but take New Horizons outside of 2020's lock downs and put it in another time period like 2019 and there isn't much going for it. But I suppose it is a better fit for game of the year 2020 than The Last of Us 2 because it brought people together.

I didn't even really have a pick for game of the year in 2020 because I didn't really play anything that was released for that year, still trying to clear my backlog... Sorry for rambling but those are my thoughts.

Also skipping out on New Horizons wasn't a bad idea, you really are not missing much in my opinion.

@RandomAfricanGamer Not their first time and it won't be their last. While not a news outlet, Shigeru Miyamoto and Bill Trinen were on Jimmy Fallon to promote Super Mario Run.

@NEStalgia Yeah I always see people praise the social aspects of the game but I really don't care for them, primarily because there isn't much to do at all. I'd much rather play Smash Bros. with my siblings than play AC:NH with them.

I too, am worried about how financially successful this game is, I'm worried the sequel will be stuck at this point with the tedious crafting, few buildings to explore, shallow dialogue from animals etc. Hopefully the sequel will be more like New Leaf with the QoL improvements and features from New Horizons and other added stuff. (and they ditch crafting)

I don't think this game would have crashed without the lock downs, I'd imagine it'd sell around the same amount as New Leaf

It always bothers me when people pronounce "Yoshi" as "Yosh-e". at least the female reporter said it correctly.

@VoidofLight Multiplayer in this game is nearly identical to previous games, not much to do except catch bugs and fish and chat. I feel like this game is a popular choice for multiplayer because so many people own it and with government knockdowns not many people can do much else except stay at home and play games. This is just one of the new ways to hang out for now.
