If you haven't play Resident Evil 4 yet you owe it to yourself to get it. Best game ever made!*
*I take no responsibility if you do not in fact consider it to be the best game ever made after playing it. That is your own failing.
Ugh I need USFIIHD to go on sale...okami is a steal at that price though.
Edit: It is.
These are all games that Capcom puts on sale regularly at the regular sale price, just running them all at once instead of individually. If you miss anything from this sale, just wait around a month or two, and you'll see it again.
All that being said, these are still some pretty top notch games, and the sale price is still pretty decent. Its definitely a worthy investment, just don't feel rushed by it if you've got your eyes on some other Black Friday deals.
Man...I already have other games I need to finish, I can't keep adding to the pile! lol
@Vortexeo
I know the feeling!
@Ryu_Niiyama
Great game. I paid full price at launch with no regrets but I can understand why others don't want to pay that much.
Best version of Street Fighter 2 in my view.
@Ryu_Niiyama
It is on sale! I don't know why it's not in the article
@TheFullAndy I agree, one of the best, BUT ONLY ON THE Wii
@Ryu_Niiyama it's 50% off. I just don't know why they didn't put in the list
I bought it
Man, portable Okami for $10 is super tempting.
@dumedum
The Wii version is one of the few instances where perfection was improved!
@Desrever Those are all Goombas.
The resident evil prices are still too high. they should be less than that before a sale
Okami HD is an amazing gem from the Wii/PS2 era.
It holds up incredibly well today and had a very beautiful art style. If you like Zelda or adventure games in general you should definitely check out Okami
I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t like Okami. The art style is nice, but I didn’t like how it played at all. shrug I would suggest it’s just not for me, but everyone compares it to other games I love... There’s something I’m just not getting.
Even on sale the RE prices are way too high. It's not like they're known as great ports, and you can buy some of the newer games for less on other platforms.
Okami is great at that price though, I bought it without a discount and I'm still happy with my choice.
@TG16_IS_BAE Not in the eyes of Miyamoto, they aren't! Goombas in name only!
@Desrever Hahahah.....
A hearty recommendation for Onimusha from me. I've played it and the first two DMC games on Switch, and so far it's my favorite of the three (Okami is probably my favorite Capcom title on Switch, but it already gets a lot of attention).
I bought all of the Ace Attorney games about 6 months ago on the 3DS when they were on sale. I'm kind of tempted to double dip and buy the Trilogy for the Switch. Looks so pretty 😻
I nabbed dragons dogma 😄
@John_Deacon Thank you!!!
Wow Switch got almost all the Resident Evil except RE2, RE3, Darkside Chronicles, Umbrella Chronicles, Gaiden, and Code Veronica X. C'mon Capcom, at least give us the ports (which is still 5x better anyways) if you're too lazy to give us the remakes.
Same discounted games and mostly the same applied discount too...
Bunch of great games here, even better with the chance to play them on the go. I got all the Switch RE titles in a previous sale and they're all great ports.
@Retro_Player_77 And still no RE7. Are we still getting a cloud version?
@TheFullAndy Oh I bought it day one. I’m slowly replacing my physical fighting games with digital copies as I love the genre too much to hunt for a cartridge. I just don’t want to pay full price twice.
@BigLarry If it's in the cloud I don't think they'll make an offline version just cause Capcom don't want to downgrade the game which is something I don't get cause Switch players don't care about great graphics or super fast performance as long as the game is smooth and fun.
Resident evil games are cheaper than this on other platforms most of the time. As for the old street fighter roms... no thanks. I'll pay $1, for old roms, however good they are, that's what they are worth nowadays.
Those Ressy prices are terrible!
All these games are €7.99 on sale on PS4, Xbox and PC.
Like, why? Double the price on switch, while on sale for games that are 10/15 years old now.
Sorry Capcom, I may eventually buy some, but they are all too expensive. I just got The Re make of Resident Evil 3 (brill so far) for £16.59 in a sale, and alot of the games above are around £5 elsewhere. I don't think they realise they are competing with themselves for sales sometimes
@TheFullAndy uhh no it's not even close to being the best game ever made.
If you think this is the best game ever made then you've played 3 games and the other two had to be on an older console.
Res evil 4 is okay, I wouldn’t even call it the best res evil game ever made. Let alone the best game.
@Razer
You are wrong, but as long as you enjoy what you enjoy even though it is clearly inferior to RE4.
@TheFullAndy
Witcher 3
Breath Of The Wild
Skyrim
Dark Soul (1 and 3)
Hollow Knight
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2
Are my top 6, in every single way, these games are better.
And a shooter i think is better than RE4, Gears 1 2 and 3.
I can't stress enough how much of a joy DMC3's switching features is. Granted, much of the game is made quick work of by using the Trickster style, but Swordmaster is incredibly handy for the spiders with Agni and Rudra, not sweating the weapon-specific statues or weapon-weak bosses, as well as for those times that you need Aerial Raves (Cerberus, face angels, etc.).
And, while not on sale, a sidenote that Hidden Folks (as made recently internet-famous by Vtuber Korone) is on the Switch for $11.99.
@Razer
All great games, funnily enough the Gears games would likely not even exist if not for RE4.
My comments are clearly tongue in cheek but for me RE4 is the best game ever made, BotW nearly replaced it at one point, but no RE4 is still the best. Nothing you or anyone else can say that will change my mind on that one.
@TheFullAndy thats fair enough.
And to be fair it is a decent game. I just didn't like it too much on the Cube and i know the best version was on the Wii, which i never played.
I want to buy Phoenix Wright but I'm not a huge fan of Point & Click games. Should I stay away from this?
I have never played a game from this series.
@Razer
Great pick with Hollow Knight, best game of 2018 for me.
I went with Ultra Street Fighter 2 here. I could use a Street Fighter game on Switch.
@Desrever That is actually pretty good advice. Thanks!
@sinalefa Picked it up for Switch years ago. It’s even better. The motion controls are an improvement upon Wii and PS Move.
Ends today, starts again next week and it will still be much cheaper on other consoles.
@TheFullAndy I remember what made the RE4 Wii edition my first time buying a game twice was because my first time was on GameCube, but it was the motion controls that made pointing and aiming definitively the best version. I haven’t heard if that’s in the Switch or gyro controls, but those would be dealbreakers and make the game mandatory for everyone.
@Severian
Tragically no motion controls on the Switch version.
Still worth the purchase though, portable RE4 in all its glory.
@TheFullAndy Hey, people are still dreaming of a patch in the future. But yes: great game. The Chicago typewriter still ruined my accuracy in the Wii version where I once boasted nearly 100% accuracy of shots, especially headshots for normal enemies before unlocking it.
@shonenjump86 so did I because I hated the filters in the anniversary collection. Oh wait no filters at all in this version. At least I can play with the hd flash graphics and I got to save 2.3gb of space.
@TheFullAndy Really wish the Switch version offered similar motion like controls that the Wii version had. To this day, the Wii version remains my favorite way to control the game, one of the few third party titles at the time that really just nailed how to best implement motion control into a more serious game.
@TheFullAndy personally i think it's the best platforming game ever made.
The game im looking forward to the most is the sequel.
