Fun fact: Jaleco stands for JApan LEather COmpany. They started out making leather but then turned to electronics, and they even put out their own console, the JalecoVision, in 1982.
At least that WOULD be a fun fact if it were true.
This is excellent news! Before this announcement, this awesome game cost about 1000 dollars. Now it'll be available to everyone. This looks like an A-level shoot-em-up. I have Gunlord X and that's a fantastic run-n-gun made by the same developers who made Razion EX, so my expectations are high for this.
I suppose they named it the Godot engine because as you're waiting for a patch and you'll feel like the protagonists of the theater play "Waiting for Godot".
The chips are in shortage because they are being used in mass quantities for military purposes, namely robotics and 5G. Don't expect many new videogame consoles and cartridges to come out in the next two years.
I have no reason to sign up for the online service. I liked the Virtual Console on the 3DS, where you paid and you actually owned a copy of the game. The online service is like rental, which I don't like. When I like a game, I want to play once a year or so, which means I have to own a copy.
@Pak-Man That's a good point which I hadn't considered because I never had a Wii U. But take a look at the combat in Golden Sun: the backgrounds look awful when on a big screen. I guess Nintendo doesn't care how bad certain games look on a TV.
@Pak-Man GBA games still look pretty good on the 3DS XL and in fact that's the best way to play GBA games, because if you try putting GBA games on a bigger screen than that you'll see terrible pixelation. That's why Nintendo isn't putting GBA games out on the Switch. Why do you think they remastered the Advance Wars games for the Switch? It's because the originals would look like garbage on the big Switch screen.
The reason GBA will never be on Switch is that GBA games look terrible when blown up to a big screen. Try putting GBA games on a Raspberry Pi or mini console, and you'll certainly notice that the games look hoorendous. That's because the developers made the games for the GBA's very small screen.
Ordinary GB games, on the other hand, look fine when blown up. Just look at the Mana Collection for Switch. GB games don't try to create shadows and shades the way GBA games do.
I'm glad you guys are going to wait until the game actually works to review it. I want to know how good the patched game is, not the unpatched version. I already know that all buggy messes suck - don't need to read a review to figure that out.
@gaga64 Even though the books and games were titled "Where's Wally?" in the UK, people still know the original name "Where's Waldo?" thanks to the Angry Video Game Nerd and the Irate Gamer. So I hope Gavin Lane changes the title of this article to "Where's Baldo?".
I've read the comments here and I've only now found out that the N64 ports weren't optimal. I played the N64 ports of Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World and thought they were great because I'd never played the arcade games.
I know most people played Cruis'n USA and not Cruis'n World, so let me reassure you that Cruis'n World is much better than Cruis'n USA. They improved the controls and the tracks. I know little about Cruis'n Exotica but have heard good things about it.
I would buy the trilogy in a heartbeat! The first game was Cruis'n USA and it was very good, but the sequel Cruis'n World was even better, and easily one of the best racing games of its generation. I haven't played the third game Cruis'n Exotica but I want to!
I'm sure this game is great, but why are developers putting out so many tactical RPGs? There are hundreds of these things. The Fire Emblem games and the Shining Force games are already almost enough to last a lifetime, but when you add the tons that were released on the PSP, DS, 3DS and Switch, you have so many great ones that you would think they'd stop making them. I'm a fan of the genre but I certainly won't be buying any more games unless they put out another Fire Emblem for Switch.
When it's the first letter of a word, the letter X is pronounced "Z". So the name of this game is pronounced "Zel". Hmmm, I wonder what game it was inspired by.
I want to make a Japanese-style game. It'll be called "Doki Doki Bouken no Densetsu Gaiden: Unlosing Mighty Lancer". With a name like that, I'll immediately gain street cred in Japan and I'll become a millionnaire overnight!
This is great news, as Vice City is easily the best game in the series. I don't care how high-tech GTA5 is - Vice City has tons of personality and makes me want to play and replay it.
This company would be huge right now if only they had hired a native English speaker to come up with good names for their (excellent) games. With names like Little Battler's Experience, Jean d'Arc, Yo Kai Watch and Ni No Kuni, how did they expect to sell millions of games in the English-speaking world?
From the little footage they're showing, it appears that the game features multiple-hit kills, so this game is different from Oniken, Strider and Shinobi, all of which feature one-hit kills. Moonrider looks like a cross between Hagane and Metroid.
This is great news. Joymasher also made the excellent Oniken, Odallus and Blazing Chrome, so I have huge expectations for Moonrider, which by the way looks fantastic.
All anyone needs to know is that Oniken is better than any Strider game, Odallus is on the level of the best Castlevania games, and Blazing Chrome is on the level of the best Contra games.
"Color" is the exact spelling of the original Latin word, which is why we Americans use that spelling. You silly Brits along with the French added the useless "u" just to annoy the Romans. Laugh while you can, because eventually you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

You shouldn't listen to anything that Jeremy Parish says about videogames, because he doesn't know much about the topic apart from trivia.

Re: The Legendary Yuzo Koshiro Will Be Contributing Music To "Lost" Game Boy Color RPG Infinity
He's probably my favorite composer for videogames. His five best soundtracks are:
Legacy of the Wizard (NES)
Act Raiser (SNES)
Revenge of Shinobi (SMD)
Streets of Rage (SMD)
Streets of Rage II (SMD)
Look at his wikipedia page for a list of the other awesome soundtracks he's done!

It looks like a good Gauntlet clone, just like the recently released Battle Axe. But this game costs much less than Battle Axe.
This could be considered in the same series as Gate of Doom and Wizard Fire, which are great.
