All I can say is congrats and I wish him well.
I’m totally down for this! Wishing him good luck at the company!
Hopefully by bringing out some new games instead of re-releasing their back catalogue.
Ah, yes because sega is well know for it's excellence in recent years..
I thought SNK were releasing a new console in 2021...? Anyone heard any updates??
Does this mean Sega has a new Governor?
First order of business: new Metal Slug! Go!
He looks somewhat villainous.
The future is now, hopefully a new console with sequels to some of there amazing classics. Done right though, that's the worry. Don't want some crappy flash version of Last resort for example.
@DropDash Well you are not wrong but it's a double edged sword, the whole respect thing. I don't think I'd be happy as a working class man in Japan.
I hope they make new awesome games! In the meantime, they should put out more Neo Geo games on the Switch, such as Ganryu and Eight Man.
I recently discovered that the legendary golf game "Neo Turf Masters" is on the Nintendo e-shop under an obscure Japanese title. They need to rename it to the North American title is they want to actually sell it! Common sense.
too bad they're still majority owned by Saudis
A new SNK console with cartridges that cost 900$$$!!
I'm down for it
If they really release a console, they should have some big 3rd parties around and launch with a bunch of high-profile exclusives like The King of Fighters 2022, Samurai Shodown Ultimate, Crystalis 2, Metal Slug 8, Shock Troopers 3, The Last Blade 3, Super Mario Odyssey 2.
I think it’s cool when they hire someone with a wealth of experience. And then talk about the fortunate change they will bring. I know it’s just business but it just sounds more elegant that way they put it.
SNK…let’s get making s9me games again!
I’ll take a follow up to turf masters please!
This guy's need to find a new art style to move their franchises forward, then they need to sort their Sh*t together and map out a realeses calendar so they can have an steady flow so they don't go away from costumers minds, they need to focus their marketing plan and how to push their games into gamers throats then they need to start collecting their money, set some aside to develope new franchises put some bigger butgets on the games that did best, Rinse and repeat
@TheWingedAvenger They didn't change the title because they wanted to. It was titled Neo Turf Masters when it first came to Arcade Archives in the west. Augusta National had a legal dispute with SNK over the title because it has the word "Masters" in it.
Don’t care who’s running the show, just tell me if the new KoF game is coming to the Switch already. (SamSho was also unannounced later for the Switch).
@Ripplefield Salty?
@BloodNinja Considering who's trying to buy SNK, it's fitting.
@NatiaAdamo Who is trying to buy SNK?
@BloodNinja The Saudi Crown Prince.
@NatiaAdamo Oh! I thought he already owned a large portion of the company shares.
@BloodNinja He did. I heard plans he was planning to buy the rest of the stock in time.
@NatiaAdamo I wonder what he plans to do with it? Perhaps keep it as a pet?
@BloodNinja
There’s a joke about the Gold System in here somewhere, surely. I just haven’t put my mind to it, yet.
@Rika_Yoshitake
The Yakuza games and its spinoffs are great.
@NatiaAdamo I hope the prince can buy it. Better on his hands than give it to the chinese.
@robr I am not the one to come up with the joke, either lol
@brianvgplayer
Point taken. Thanks for the info!
