It's why I won't buy online only games. If it doesn't have a single player mode and goes down with the server, it ain't worth it.

@ShonenJump121 I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't blow everything out of proportion all the time. Listening to someone be constantly negative and melodramatic gets tiresome. Surely you've met people like that in real life, who try to suck the fun out of everything by nitpicking little or non-issues to death.

Ahh yes, here come the Graphics Snobs making much ado about nothing. I remember looking at videos of Remakening to see the
"atrocious frame rate" they were whining about. I could understand complaining if it was bad enough to cause a game to freeze, crash, or cause deaths through no fault of the player. (Looking at you MN9 and Bloodstained.) And yet I did not see a single instance of slowdown, sprite flicker, frame stutter, or screen freeze. I guess the only way these people can ever have any fun is by nitpicking 24/7. So unless I see otherwise, you'll forgive me if I roll my eyes and refuse to take anything these people seriously.

Water dungeon or water/ice dungeon?

Europe easily, it looks nicer. It's the only good partial port in the trilogy, and had the only fun mini games.

I've never played the games but looks good.

@Tasuki Okay here's a good comparison. Mega Man started on Nintendo, but X4-X8 weren't originally, and those became a multi-system release. There's also the Bioshock collection, and the original Final Fantasy 7.

@Tasuki So? That hasn't stopped other games coming to other systems.

@TotalHenshin Haven't tried the original yet, but Simon moves pretty smoothly, and the check points are generous and can be accessed from the title screen as you go further along. It's pretty zippy.

Great review! I enjoyed reading this. I personally think the Anniversary Collection is best.

I'll check it out,though I don't expect anything to surprise or wow me. The indie directs usually talk about stuff that people have already seen.

Nice article! I enjoyed reading it. Didn't play this one till I was an adult. First heard of it on sydlexia's site and it sounded intriguing. It quickly became one of my favorite rpgs of all time and I've beaten it several. I genuinely like the first game as well, even if it lacks a lot of the seconds weirdo charms.
