Re: Nintendo Switch "Lifetime US Unit Sales" Surpass Xbox 360

SwitchForce

We all here have to take a step back and consider this is about lifetime sales (no longer in production consoles) vs current active sales. Considering factor it's just amazing how fast the Switch sold in 7 years of production starting in 2017 from v1, v2, OLED models along with the Lite.

Re: GTA 6 On 'Switch 2' Would Be "Very Tricky To Pull Off", Says Digital Foundry

SwitchForce

@koffing They have a lot of information about the Switch 2 hardware and modern gaming technology. Did you watch their 30+ min breakdown of the GTA 6 tech?

This a matter of opinion only not factual or actual hardware being shown for anyone to know what it is or what GTA is really like since neither of these two are in hands of DF to begin with. They can only speculate about the Switch 2(?) and GTA but have nothing concrete to show anyone of either that anyone can gleam from.

Funny how people think they can decide what GTA comes to Switch when they aren't in the Devs team. It marvels the mind people thinking they are the Devs and also DF has no Devs insight beyond their talking points so that in itself is no confirmation of much of anything at this point for games they are not part of or development for and or Switch 2 console R&D from Nintendo. Anyone with their right mind would see the NDA writing on the wall to avoid any legal proceeding from Nintendo.

Re: Feature: Dragon Quest Monsters Producer On Introducing Series To A Whole New Audience

SwitchForce

No fame issue so far since I started playing it. I think users should tamper their expectations here. This game more runs enough on current Switch units. It might be different with a Switch 2 but then again it's not out nor any test unit to verify anything but rumors. But specs be told a T239 and DLSS/RT/RTL would help alot in improve gameplay but since no Devs are going to violate their NDA without massive consequences all we have are rumours without being to specific to expose the leakers.

Re: Soapbox: This Year, The Game Awards Failed The Industry

SwitchForce

Another couch potato reporting has no idea of how to get such events going and knowing everything has time restraints and the host can only follow the script they are given. If NL and it's reporters can do better why not make your own Live TV game awards and see how well you plans compares to theirs.

If people think these threats are just jokes - take a Japanese politician that was running for PM that was shot with a HomeMadeGun and ask yourself how safe are you? And Japan is a relative safe country to start with. Bodily harms threats shouldn't be taken lighten in this day and age. If people haven't forgotten about this event that happen not to far back.

They are just presenting the Game Reveals/Awards not doing Directs people need to realize this. If people are so uptight why did they even watch this? They just have rants to make nothing that could be useful is how I see this. They have Committees and Planning Teams that does these events-the hosts follow those guides they can't change the format because of one person.

Re: Geoff Keighley Agrees Music Was Played "Too Fast" For TGA Winners This Year

SwitchForce

@Rooty How does one think smartphones apps are so free to use as well? Nothing can survive with some kinda ads-unless you want to pay a subscription to keep it going yearly? Take online sites that uses ads so you can access them for free aka email yahoo, gmail? You wouldn't have those services without some kinda ads, Right?? People are just for the flick of the day-not thinking all the planning and staff needed to make this works isn't just a let's just do this DayOne that isn't going to happen people.

Re: Random: The Game Awards Urged Eiji Aonuma To 'Wrap Up' Zelda Acceptance Speech

SwitchForce

It's a tricky balancing act, to be sure, but we're hopeful that Geoff Keighley will take the feedback on board and give developers a little bit more time on stage next year. After all, without them, there wouldn't be a Game Awards show.

NL should know better here. Everything has time allotment how events are scheduled and going over doesn't help other participants present their own showing. Geoff Keighley has nothing to give to Developers there is a Team of Production that sets time and events - that tells everyone how and when things run and goes. If anything it's the Developers whom should know how much time they should give to present and tell their development teams acknowledge and move on. Everyone has their own Direct from company to YouTube to host their Directs to their FanBase. NL lost alot of credibility for this one-sided news post now.

Re: Random: The Game Awards Urged Eiji Aonuma To 'Wrap Up' Zelda Acceptance Speech

Speech is good but one should do within the time limit so as to not boast yourself. That can come off as good or bad. Everyone is obligated to follow a time limit for good reasons. This isn't anything against himself but he should know everyone else deserves their spotlight as well. If anyone has every taken a Speech Class or Public Speaking one should know the longer you go the worse your speech gets and misses the point all together. One a rare few aka MJK/JFK were good orators that made speech matter. This isn't a snub at the Nintendo content creator they all have rules they agreed to follow to allow others to be presented as well. Also Nintendo will have their own Direct what part did others on here miss? They can go hours and hours on Nintendo Direct if they choose to do so. This is a GameShow not GamePlay aka SHOW? It's to present upcoming and what's new and the announcer gets the time to do their job what else did others miss here as well.

Re: Oh Dear, Contra: Operation Galuga's Physical Edition Is A Download Code In A Box

SwitchForce

@stevep Limited Run is almost as bad as only having a download code in the box

If you think that is bad try eBay prices and see how those prices gouge even more. So let's be clear here LRG is far better then paying MSRP prices for a Digital code that could be sold for less then half since those MSRP are for the cost of the packaging and case and Physical games. So there is a reason for those prices.
