Re: Review: Lonely Mountains: Downhill - A Freewheeling Downhill Delight

@The_Pixel_King I'll check soon! I wrote to them on Twitter, too. It's getting more and more frustrating with this icon issues. Nintendo gave pubs and devs guidelines for icons and apparently they only apply to the Nintendo website ones (and the preview image of all games on the Switch eShop). But then it seems they can do whatever they want with the actual icons you see on the Switch menu screen.

Re: Nintendo Switch Gets Its Fourth Picross S Series Game Next Week

@RupeeClock They never go on sale because they know we NEED them. Only one that went one sale once was that weird crossover with an anime involving skulls or something?

I enjoyed Murder by Numbers quite a bit for what it is, but TRUE Picross is my cup of tea. Just bought S2 though, so no need to hurry really. Also, I've become a purist who plays with absolutely zero hints and 100%ing S1 took around 50 hours lol

Good article and yes, Water is fine. My island is called Hope.

AC has always been great, it's so good looking at all this people enjoying it. My 2 daughters have each their character and house, we're fighting for that Switch lol. It's always incredibly interesting to watch them having fun in different ways. The 12 years old boy wants HIS Switch with HIS copy. Oh Nintendo what have you done?

Murder by Numbers: just started case 3. Game is nuts for any Ace Attorney fan, but you must like Picross. For me this game is a match made in Heaven, I'm enjoying it a awful lot.

Okami: about to begin "part 3". It's still the most gorgeous game of all time and it'll have a place in my heart forever, but boy does it overstay its welcome a bit.

Re: Review: Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha - Great Games Shamed By Horrendous Input Lag

SuperCharlie78

@Moroboshi876 No, because the reviewer clearly said these are the very same games that were released digitally and singularly.
I think this reviewer is particularly sensible to input lag. I didn't play any of these games but I had no issues with Ikaruga, Danmaku Unlimited 3 and Rolling Gunner, despite him saying the Switch is not ideal for shmups with an average 4 frames input lag. But again, I'm not the most hardcore shmup player out there, so who knows.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th February (Europe)

SuperCharlie78

@gaga64 it's releasing, but missing here due to shitty NoE's incomplete PR.

In fact, one of my favorite articles has become completely useless now. You guys should seriously start to ignore NoE's PR and give readers the complete list of new releases and sales. @antdickens

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo's Game Design Prowess Solve Discoverability Problems On Switch eShop?

SuperCharlie78

@JHDK
Yeah, it is.
It does a great job to give games exposure in any possible way:

  • everybody can get their news channel. If gamers are interested they can submit, if they're not, well, luckily they can ignore games;
  • The "Discover" tab is great, in which it has the game of the day and the offer of the day to give game exposure, again. The game of the day can surprise you more often than not with choices that go in that very direction. But the writer here wants games like Brain Training or Ni No Kuni to be more visible, oh boy...
  • New releases and coming soon sections are fine, you simply can go so far with around 3000 games available;
  • you can sort games by publisher, genres, price (maybe, I'm not sure), it's not that you have to scroll the new releases and that's it;
  • the wishlist is fine too. Just wishlist a game and look at the list periodically and you'll see what games are on offer;

the music... Oh the music, the legendary music which is capable of giving indie games visibility! And Mario going around and enter the paintings with thousands of games icons to find more, what a fancy and lenghty way to scroll into games lists!
