I hope it will be not more than 10€. Anyway, my body is ready for this (and Katana Zero, and Cuphead, and PW Trilogy... In fact, my wallet is not so ready)
@dystome Yes, it is. The last event I got 22 victories and still didn't win the gold points. It was restricted to italian players so it was pretty easy, no japanese wizards! But to be eligible you needed only one victory, so bad luck for me
"The emphasis here appears to be being placed upon the auto-renewal of the companies' online services"
And this is dumb. You can easily turn off the auto renewal with a click, and they told you so. What we should fight hard is the absurd thing Nintendo (for example) obliges you to do before a purchase. They say you have the right of contract termination, but you can't make a purchase without renouncing to that very right. THIS is unfair. You could buy an almost unplayable game and there's no way to ask for a refund, because when you bought it you renounced to that right.
I enjoy Smash... For the wrong reason, probably.
Actually I like playing it quite a lot, since Melee, despite not sinking a ridiculous amount of hours in it (let's say 100 average hours per game). What I like the most is its encyclopedic nature where all these fighters are represented with stages, music and other references about their franchises and other characters from those franchises.
Just listening to all those music tracks would be worth a purchase. All these little details they always throw in, they really care and respect the games the characters come from and they show it. What I miss an AWFUL LOT is trophies. Ok the stickers are awesome and I could stay with them, but to put off all those sweet, sweet descriptions about characters, games, and other informations was criminal, Nintendo.
The game is not the most intuitive, apart from being a fighter with little in common with others. Maybe this lessens some players' enjoyment, too. It has to click, that's for sure, but you're not guaranteed it will do eventually.
I own all of them but Overcooked 1&2 and Stardew Valley, which I deliberately skipped (as of now). It's amazing to see Graceful Explosion Machine there, such a gem and the devs are lovely.
"The same report states that Wall Street analysts are divided on this thought, with some expecting the console to shift fewer units next year as opposed to the current year."
Haha nope. Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem, Luigi, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Zelda. Next FY's sales will be insane, no doubt about it.
For the current FY though, they should easily close with 18 millions units shipped, putting the Switch at nearly 36 millions in 25 months
In this list it figures among the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection and not in the Arcade Archives series, but it should feature vertical mode anyway. They say every Arcade Archives game supports it. Not sure though
"if Nintendo is serious about hitting that low end of the market and turning the console into a platform capable of shifting 100 million units during its lifespan, then it needs to reduce that price as quickly as possible."
The Switch will be at 55 millions units sold by march 2019, most likely.
Nothing for me this week. My backlog won't take a break, though. Going to pick Undertale and, maybe, Valkyria Chronicles at 50% off. Both will be TRIPLE dips, such is the power of the Switch
@misterMike "It's not fair to compare PS4 and XB1 to Switch when they competed against each other and Switch competes against itself."
Mhh, this makes little to no sense to me, unless they retired the PS4 and One from stores, which they didn't.
The Switch success is even more impressive considering that other consoles had a 3 years line up already available and lots of big projects on the way, and that a Xbox One has been a lot cheaper than the Switch for ages. Even the PS4 is cheaper than the Switch lol.
Obvious, it wasn't when they revealed it, was it? Maybe now it's more obvious when you see it leaving stores like hot cakes, but it was far from obvious at the beginning...
@Zuljaras
I was talking about life to date sales, which are 33-34 millions for the Switch and slightly more than 40 millions for the One.
Clearly, if we compare One's first 2 years sales with the Switch first 2 years, which was what you were asking for, the Switch is selling extremely better
@Zuljaras if you compare Switch sales with PS4, the Switch is on track, if not above. If you compare it with the Xbox One, well, the Switch is gonna reach One LTD sales this year...
@SBandy the PS4 is at 95 million sold already, it will reach 100 very soon. Probably it will end around the 125 millions mark, especially if they cut the price...
The Switch should reach 18 millions this fiscal year, 17,5 is a given, I dare to say. Which will put it at 35 millions at the end of its second year (plus the launch month). They've got quite the line up this year to perform like a beast both HW and SW. Let's see their next sales prediction at the end of april, I expect it to be beyond 20 millions

Not the best idea to put it between two Mario 2D games. Anyway, it was never meant to sold more than Kirby, not a chance
