Switch sales = 20 times of PS4 sales ?!
@Anti-Matter 21* But yeah, the wait for the PS5 is good for the Switch.
@kuromantic Include the Switch lite
PS4 + PRO = 11216
Switch + Lite = 236625
236625 / 11216 = 21,09709..
In other news, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games has passed 100k sales, neat
Such is the Power of Nintendo!
Nice to see Sakura Wars having a triumphant return. Let's celebrate!

Those Switch numbers are disgusting....
Good for them. I kinda sold my copy... i did not really enjoy getting the 8 badges and thats as far as i went. Didnt do elite 4. I did really enjoy the music when battling a gym leader. Ive played alot of older pokemon and find the depth of them to be far more engaging and addictive.
Ring Fit being restocked!
Here we go for 100.000 next week
@sanderev burned him. He wanted to add in PS4 Pro, thought he was smart, forgot Switch Lite. Wait 'til he tries to say Switch Lite isn't the same because "it's handheld only"! LOL
@KnightsTemplar now THIS is how you do negative feedback. The human way, not the fan one.
Good for the Switch; nice to see it going strong. I am also excited that Sakura Wars is finally back, I will be awaiting that on PS4 when it launches here in the west (hopefully they remake/re-release the first 4, and localise them).
Ring fit adventure sales are amazing!
Pokémon sale are more than the game deserves.... as someone who bough at least one game every gen since gen 3 and played of course played the first 2 gens
So where do Pokemon SwSh world wide sales numbers sit at?
Awesome numbers too bad we dont get npd no more much I'd like to see how many switches sold worldwide along with games.....
With all the backlash and negativity, and the Pokemon fans boycotting the latest games, I am surprised they are selling so well, I was totally expecting there to be mass demonstrations outside gaming stores.
I bought pokemon sword. It was my first pokemon game ever. I played the first few hours and... I felt dumber and dumber. I mean... the dialogs... gosh.
I guess, after playing Ni no Kuni this would prove to be a step up, but, gosh, was I wrong(for me at least). I'll stick to Ni no Kuni and other rpgs with a bit more essence.
Glad to see OG Switch doing great. Hope that "Switch" lite won't be as popular. Don't wanna support half-baked products.
I'm still wounded that Sakura Wars is not on switch. I'll give it a year in hopes before I cave on PS4.
If Sega is smart they'll bring the New Sakura Wars to Switch, it's a shame especially after most of us had came back from Sakura Wars: So Long My Love from the Wii.
@XO-Frats Disgustingly insane!😉
Nintendo Employee - Sir, we're on track for your 2020 predictions and even hit the mark by 230%.
Nintendo Emperor - Yes, yes. Soon, we will buy the whole world and have enough money left over to start building the Nintendo Death Star. Ha ha ha ha
Nintendo Employee - Oh wait, I did the math wrong. Our predictions only hit 229%. Please forgive me!
Nintendo Emperor - You have failed me for the last time. Chokes Nintendo Employee for several minutes for fun.
Nintendo Emperor - Now go make preparations to buy all of Playstation's and Xbox's employees and have them start on the construction of the Nintendo Death Star.
Nintendo Employee - Yes, my Emperor!
Meanwhile, Nintendo bought all of Playstation's and Xbox's employees and told them to start construction on the Nintendo Death Star
Former Playstation Employee - How do we build a Nintendo Death Star? We have no blueprints.
Former Xbox Employee - I don't know. Go ask the Emperor for guidance.
Former Playstation Employee - Ya, and then I will get choked for a couple minutes for fun. No, thanks. Let's go ask George Lucas, as he had a Death Star in the Star Wars movies.
Former Xbox Employee - Oh, that's a great idea!
Former Playstation and Xbox employee drive a couple miles away and arrive at George Lucas's house.
Former Playstation Employee - George Lucas, the Nintendo Emperor requires your assistance. We need the plans for a Death Star.
George Lucas - Oh, we had a Death Star prop built for the movies. We left it near the other side of the moon, as it's really big.
Former Xbox Employee - Can we have it sir?
George Lucas - Sure, but it's just a shell and made out of cardboard.
Former Playstation Employee - Uh, the Nintendo Emperor didn't say anything about specifics. So, I guess this will do.
George Lucas - Great, you can have it as it's just collecting space dust out there.
Next, Former Playstation and Xbox Employee booked a flight to the other side of the moon. They disembark the shuttle, while in space suits, and drift over to the Death Star prop.
Former Playstation Employee - Hey, it says Death Star on it. We need to put the Nintendo name in front of that.
Former Xbox Employee - Good thing I brought my trusty crayons with me and then writes Nintendo in front of the Death Star name.
Former Xbox Employee - Ok, done. Now, how do we get this huge thing to be next to Earth and not the Moon.
Former Playstation Employee - I don't know. Try kicking it.
Former Xbox Employee - Why, that's a great idea and then kicks the Nintendo Death Star.
Former Playstation Employee - Wow, it's really chugging along. Oh crap, how do we stop it?!
Former Xbox Employee - Uhhh, I'm not sure because our space suits don't have any thrusters or whatnot.
Former Playstation Employee - OMG! What are we going to do?
Former Playstation and Xbox Employee watch as the cardboard Nintendo Death Star is on an intercept course for Earth. While this is happening, both of them are screaming like little girls and then watch as the Nintendo Death Star slams into Earth. (Now, we all know that cardboard has a nuclear reaction when hitting soil or dirt.) So, the cardboard Nintendo Death Star hits the Earth's ground and Earth explodes with a big explosion.
Former Playstation Employee can only gasp in shock.
Former Xbox Employee - Oops.
Former Playstation Employee - You don't think the Nintendo Emperor is still alive do you?
Former Xbox Employee - Um, maybe if he had a clone on the Moon, then I would say yes but I think we should go far away from here.
Former Playstation Employee - I agree, let's go to Mars and colonize it.
Former Xbox Employee - Sounds good to me. Let's go.
Former Playstation and Xbox Employee became friends and started drifting to Mars, while holding hands.
What a happy ending. Sorry for this being so long.
the new Nintendo 3ds just conquered vita's lifetime sales in japan. nintendomination continues
Ring Fit Adventure!! Should definitely put the character in Smash imo
what did I just read, @Xylnox 🙃
@CharlieGirl Sorry, I try to get people to smile or laugh. I have a big imagination and it brightens my day when someone enjoys my work. Sometimes, I get carried away and create a long post or weird one. heh
Nintendo in full beast mode. I have never seen this since i started following sales during the end of wii era.
PS4 sales smashed. What surprises me the most is it's Xmas ... And PS4 sales are dead. Just dead. Obviously no one else wants one ... Everyone who does, has one. Sales will not be strong next year.
I really can't see PS5 sales being stronger, unless they pull a surprise or two out.
Switch could sell another half a million units in Japan, combined, for the rest of the year. Having a hybrid console is great idea - as everyone can get their own, rather than one per house.
From this Xmas we'll have 2 switches in my house ... Never happened before with any console.
Ring Fit Adventure weekly Japanese sales:
1. 68,497
2. 64,045
3. 51,143
4. 52,240
5. 28,015
6. 26,141
7. 22,302
8. 16,125
9. 57,746
Total: 386.257
Increased stock has sent Ring Fit sales to its 3rd highest weekly sales yet.
The Switch is unstoppable !
I’m going to pole dance around my Christmas tree in celebration.
@kuromantic well that sassy comment didn't work out for you hahaha.
Japan has always been a Nintendo stronghold but these numbers are impressive. I was in Tokyo for a few days in the summer and I saw the Switch around everywhere. Portability is a huge draw here in Asia.
Don't put too much weight on holiday sales for the Japanese chart. Christmas is a thing in Japan, but a small thing and mostly a commercial event. It's not even an official holiday here.
It's not remotely the massive event it is in many other countries.
literally 1/12 of japan owns a switch holy heck
@Xylnox 😵
@fanguy I will count that as a smile.
@Heavyarms55
???
Christmas is most definitely a huge week in Japan. This current week will be the biggest week of Switch sales for the entire year once numbers are reported next week.
The same will happen in America. Super Saturday is no joke.
Early Christmas for Nintendo.
Is Pokemon closing in on Mario Kart here? (Sure I'm reading this wrong!)
I just got back from Japan and looking through there video game stores, this top ten list actually makes a lot of sense. First of all, the Switch is absolutely on fire in Japan. The PS4 has a lot more games available than the Switch. I saw pretty much all the PS4 games we have in the west, plus a lot of Japan exclusive games. And while the Switch game library is a decent size, it's still not on par with the PS4. So it makes sense that the Switch, with the bigger install base, smaller game library, and the star power of first party IP, is going to have best selling games that sell higher than Sony.
Side note, I saw they were trying to sell EA's Anthem for 200 yen (two dollars, less than 2 pounds). HAHAHAHAHA!
OG? This isn't the early 90's and even teens these days don't say that nonsense. The only ones who do are the delusional Xbox fanboys so please, stop embarrassing yourself and everyone around you by saying OG.
