@Serpenterror the ps3 era for me was the golden time for gaming. Less live service elements and less Microtransactions more great solo player experiences like this. Ps3 games hold up extremely well compared to modern releases. Many people don’t realise how many games like this were from ps3 era
@Bodatajson I 100% guarantee you have. You might say it’s “not important” but so did he. No a single employee in the world won’t have broken their terms of employment or broken the “accepted” normal terms and conditions, like being late, personal emails, or the many other no “acceptable until we say so technical breaches” that a company could easily sack you for. Performance related ones are the one most people breach. Mostly because of conditions beyond their control.
I would suggest it’s not me that doesn’t understand “basic contractual obligations” it’s maybe that some don’t understand how easy it is for a company to say you’ve breached your terms, game stop wouldn’t normally
A- sack someone for this.
B -know someone has done this.
It’s such a non event. None one was hurt and no sales were effected.
If this was a milk company saying they got a Walmart employee sacked for saying online they had a new 5.25L milk carton coming in the fall…. You’d be saying OMG that’s ridiculous…. Why should they be sacked.
It’s typical of a certain demographic in the gaming community to defend such a ridiculous move.
Replace the word Nintendo with a different everyday company and the switch with any household product and you see how ridiculous this is.
I'm thinking the people defending Nintendo have probably never had a job. Or live in the real world.
Most people Break their employment contract daily especially in places like America that have no or limited worker protections. It's the same in most places, all of them have a “get someone out the door for peanuts” clauses.
Some countries are more enlightened and value workers. Countries like America and now England are set up to make the rich 5% richer. Figures in the last 5 years prove now it’s worse than ever.
Basement dwellers are still punching down and waiting for the trickle.
A bit of plastic gets leaked online. Sales won’t be harmed. Nothing bad happened to anyone and yet people say he deserved it. Wow. What happened to society?
Guy lost his livelihood.
Wow. Some of you love the taste of big corporate boot.
If I had a pound every time a game thats reliant online is taken away and they say “it’s not been an easy decision” I’d be a rich man I’ve read it three times today.
@NintonicGamer I felt that about the Pikachu movie too. Loved it but I did feel most people would just think what is this crazy nonsense. It seemed to go down well though. Maybe more so with the casuals?!?
@Patendo 100% agree. I feel similarly about video game scores. People these days see a 7 and comment “shame was going to buy will now avoid” what?!? Lol.
It means reviewers often bump scores up or down to make it more reflective of what a reader will respond with. It’s why we see so many 9s…. 9s for me are games of a generation; If you insist on scoring. Should be rarely handed out.
Also for me on all fronts is price.
If I pay to see a movie I’m probably a bit harsher than if I just press play or it’s just on.
I’m happy to be entertained, video games and films. I try not to be so critical it ruins everything. Nothing is perfect.
@Member_the_game @TommiKinder were they in warranty though? I believe they had started doing in warranty U.K. ones before. They started by denying it was an issue and charging but went free if in Warranty. I think like most things you could get lucky for sure. I had two pairs that suffer from it and now will 100% send in knowing they will repair without running the gauntlet of getting lucky. Good to know they are doing a good job with repairs though.
Just what others have said. LRG doing what they do best…. Exploiting the situation whilst claiming to be heroes. They said they’d released their last 3ds game. But release another anyway.
Seeing a few negative comments about the steam deck is so strange. It’s an amazing bit of kit. You have to actually use it to know. Just reading or watching reviews doesn’t do it credit.
Size isn’t an issue at all. When you start using it. I love my switch but steam deck is far more comfortable to use.
Battery life is fine. It’s depends on game you’re playing. You can play whilst on charge. And if you are out and about you can have a power pack in the case to charge in between uses, I find it hard to believe anyone regularly is miles from a power socket and wants to game three/four hours solid. Even then you can hook up to a power bank.
Got one of the other official sega ones for switch. That are cheaper.
Snagged the official n64 when it briefly appeared a while back and have the nes and snes ones. This is just too expensive for this version of the controller
Imho, and as a subber to the expansion pack, the service is the very very very bare minimum, the GBA games being in the top tier is bizarre. That would suggest any further platforms have to be too.
They are adding games at a ridiculously slow rate. The choice is minimal.
It shows where we are in society that so many are so defensive of any criticism of a service.
You are not a shareholder. Stop trying to act like you are invested in this. It’s ok to want and demand more for your money.
It’s not entitled. It’s entitled to whack a few roms and an emulator together and expect millions to pay for it without a plan to add more or a promised routine of X amount of games a month.
@Thief LRG releases get way more stories here than the other companies. Of which there are a few.
It’s clear NL has a special relationship with LRG. Special reserve, strictly limited etc…. Each and every release doesn’t get a story. Believe what you want .
(This article is a sponsored advert by limited run games)
Not bought a limited run game for a couple of years now. Awful company, awful customer service and awful practises.
I have spent too much money with them. I was hooked for the first couple of years of releases. Got them all. They’ve gone so far their original business model and claimed ethos.
It doesn’t help that two of the main guys running it are extremely dislikable.
Andreas Andreasen The Third. Is what I want to call him. He has always looked like a third generation Andreas Andreasen…. But usually I end up with Link for short.
If the drip feed these especially GBA being in the highest band it’s a joke. They have so many in house titles on both they can give us proper regular updates.
I’m stoked alone in the dark is there. That’s awesome
Emudeck on steam deck is amazing. Been playing loads of gamecube games. They play and look amazing. Minimal tinkering. I’ve found it one of the easier emulators to use. Most roms just work.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For May And June 2023
Sonic is more than just the 4 games hasn’t it got 15 extra games or something now?!?
I’ll pick that up at some point, Daymare for sure. Maybe on playstation at first. I’ll double dip on switch or steam deck when on sale.
Zelda already preordered
Re: Nintendo Switch Is Not "Technically Capable" Of Running Call Of Duty Games, Says CMA
@gmbbr yes it did. That’s exactly what the ten year deal said. Knowledge is power.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is Not "Technically Capable" Of Running Call Of Duty Games, Says CMA
Microsoft were ridiculous claiming switch would get day one COD equal to ps5 and Xbox.
It was a not worth the paper it was written on that 10 year deal.
CMA rightly saw through that.
Re: Wowzers! Inspector Gadget - Mad Time Party Go Goes Onto Switch Later This Year
Mini games….. nooooooooooooooo
A 3D open world collectathon style game would be a day one purchase: like their Smurfs one but with Gadget!
Re: Alien: Isolation - The Collection Physical Edition Announced For Nintendo Switch
Alien release definitely needs LRG.
Hahahahahha. Pathetic.
Shame it can’t get a proper release. The gaming industry is in a period of greed and self harm.
Re: Microsoft's Activision Blizzard Acquisition Has Been Officially Blocked In The UK
I didn’t want the merger.
I want more games not less.
However I don’t think I can cope with month more of xenophobic, conspiracy theories telling us on both sides however everyone is evil.
The culture wars in the rest of society is bad enough. This deal has brought out the absolute worse in the gaming industry and fan base
Re: The Jurassic Park Games Are Getting A 30th Anniversary Retro Collection
Jurassic park games like the Star Wars games belong no where near LRG.
Ridiculous as bad as Call of duty crowdfunding their board game. World has gone mad
Re: Samba De Amigo: Party Central's Song List Has Ariana Grande Headlining
I’m in my 40s not into pop and am not mad at that track list. Some good tunes on there never gonna get a music list that will please everyone.

No thanks.
Re: LEGO 2K Drive's Physical Switch Release Is Just A Download Code

Re: Soapbox: Can We Stop Pretending Switch Can't Run Call Of Duty?
It cannot run day one ps5/XSX newest version of COD.
That’s what the contract says isn’t it?
Either way obviously it can run some sort of version of cod. That’s never been in dispute. It’s the effect it will have on other versions.
A switch version of COD with its own modes, campaign and optimised would be best.

I don’t know how companies time and time again get credits wrong. They have whole departments to deal with this.
Re: Best Retro Throwback Nintendo Switch Games - Modern Games With Old-School Style
Horizon turbo is a brilliant game. Takes almost everything we loved about old arcade racers and makes everything better and gives it modern depth.
It’s how classic homages should be done.
A few in the list are basically just the same as the old games. For me that defeats the object.
Make that classic modern. Make me feel like im playing a beloved title but give it some modern depth.

Re: Round Up: It's April Fools' Day, Here Are The Best Gaming Gags We've Seen (2023)

Sega wins by miles. Cracking joke and it’s a free game that’s actually decent.
That’s how you do April fools.
Don’t get people’s hopes up and say “only kidding”

@Rayquaza2510 yeah they used to be decent. Greed is a funny old thing.
Re: Random: Bitmap Is Bringing Xeno Crisis To N64 And GameCube
