This is illogical. You get lazy Policepeople… lazy Doctors, lazy everything… you get people in all walks of life that don’t have pride in what they do… hide behind excuses and you have people that under ridiculous conditions deliver…..

So everyone saying “it shows a lack of how developers work”…..

You don’t understand how the human mind works and how some people do “phone it in”….

I think 9 times out of 10 it’s lazy greedy CEOs and leads for the project… if that’s at an umbrella company, the Dev or the publisher…

The gaming industry makes me laugh… if a TV show launched with glitches, and unfinished end, with issues with lighting and acting and half a script…. It would be called out…. But oh no we must gatekeep devs and defend them at all costs.

How much was it on the store? Anyone know?

@Darkyoshi98 I’m not “running my mouth” don’t be so rude. I own all three consoles and services on all three and have plenty of money… just don’t want to pay Nintendo for the extra layer as it doesn’t offer value right now.

@Gwynbleidd it makes me chuckle people on here say it’s good value and the same people say PS Now isnt… PSnow has the same thing with BC… PS3 and ps2 games…. But then loads of ps4 games too. Massive titles and paid £30 a year so cheaper than this…. I think it has 600 games on it. This has under a hundred…. But it’s “just the price of a coffee” and that means “who cares” I wanna be these guys accountant….

It’s akin to a pyramid scheme and this low cost easy to make items have a fake value. Someone at some point will be left holding something that no one will pay for. Just don’t get left holding the bag

It’s not great value. You are far better off paying the twenty bucks or whatever it is one off than having to keep paying the 35 bucks for some 9 broken roms and your DLC….

Greed is a mysterious thing…. Some people seem not happy with millions and millions profits. Not sure why people seem intent on ruining an industry that was already very lucrative

@Bentendo1609 it’s nothing like that. People are rightly pointing out stuff missing or stuff they’d like and people are saying they hope they hold it back for a launch title on the switch successor! That’s bonkers. Again it’s not mature to not listen to others want or think and say “your immature because you don’t want what I want” the irony of that statement is massive.

Nintendo need to be challenged - it’s healthy for consumers to challenge companies to be better. It’s not healthy to accept whatever they do. They will gradually take more and more liberties. We have seen it with Mario Party and Switch online…. The more we accept the more they will take liberties. Constructively asking for different or more is healthy.

All businesses need a bit of that. It’s healthy and natural.

@FernandoMachado EXACTLY. A centralised ordering for ps5 and Xbox would have done the same…. You buy one and get one when it’s your turn. Even if your “place/order” is outsourced to one of the suppliers like game or Amazon

Unfortunately shady practises like this are common place. Many places drop bombshells at the worst and most inappropriate time. You are very lucky if you work at a place that doesn’t have a toxic environment of one sort or another. It’s rampant.

@PokemonDMG agreed I’d rather have a fully fledged NFL game or NCAA even CFL to go with it but NHL 100% needed and as much as the Rocky game scratched an itch for boxing but a licensed one would be nice too.

Rarely do I pay full price for a game but this wasn’t on my radar so I missed snagging a preorder bargain so I’ve paid full price for first time on switch. (400+ physical games in) This is how you should do a game, all on cart and a nice map. Haha.

@johnvboy I see it a lot online - someone will say they’ve had issues with a (insert something) some people back that up with their own issues and others just pile on to say they’ve had no issues and then few weeks later a couple will pop back up to say they’ve had issue and instead of humble pie they seem to ignore they claimed it was a non issue weeks before.

I personally have had little to no noticeable drift and have no scratches on my switch. I have a dock sock on my dock because it was clear that design was bonkers from the start. This screen sounds even more fragile. I think people don’t need to weigh in everytime to tell us all how gentle they are and how they look after their items. You shouldn’t need to be that gentle or have to buy dock socks but it is what it is. Articles like this are useful to make sure everyone knows a screen protector is a good idea.

I genuinely don’t see a difference between the two issues. Yes obviously some people will be careless but also many people that are careful will have issues with both. No need for people to constantly laud it over people they had no issues. Just comes across like first class fanboyism- Nintendo could have done better on both fronts but even if we don’t vilify them for that it’s worth knowing how bad the issues are. Some will be less than others. Sony and Xbox both have had similar issues with their consoles (not screen obviously) but serious faults.

As usual we deal with pure extremes in comments - the “treat stuff with care and it won’t break” fault deniers - and the - mine blew up in the box unplugged crew…. Clearly Nintendo made some design choices that were poor and yes with care you can get round that but more people need to be balanced- just coz it didn’t happen to you doesnt mean it isn’t a thing. The same people deny joy con drift is a thing and blame the user.

We really do have the two horrible ends of the spectrum posting here don’t we…. The “I knoW everything and never done anything wrong and hold everyone to account crew” and the “oh no “cancel culture” is horrible and there are no issues in society apart from the horrible treatment white men get”

Firstly those that were involved in the said abuse asked for this name change. We can’t then have a go for them doing it.

What I will say - obviously the abuse we are talking about is abhorrent and changes are needed. All the high and mighty posters here I have two questions…

1 - have you ever been abused in ways like this?

2 - do you call out wrong doing in your own life whenever you see it?

If you answer no to either of those please work on yourself before being so vocal and demanding more. If we all lead by example instead of simply calling out others real change will come.

If you say - I don’t see wrongdoings happening to call it out - you are massively part of the problem.

I can’t comment if they need to do more because I don’t know on the ground what they are doing. It’s a shame that abuses are so common place. With so many heroes online society should be sorted by now.

Try calling out bad behaviour in real life and not just online behind a keyboard.

For anyone that answered yes to victim of abuse. My thoughts go out to you and I hope you have got the support you need and I hope the cause of the abuse has been addressed. This is though unfortunately unlikely.

@dimi @SonOfVon I’m surprised how many switch releases get no coverage here TBH. I know they may have limited budgets or limited staff but they could always find ways to increase coverage of switch games. Quite a few recently have had no coverage here.

Wave race, 1080, F-Zero, Diddy Kong Racing, Beetle Adventure racing, Star Wars Rogue Squadron….. oh he definitely doesn’t mean those does he….

Day one - rather this than the new version as new version has only the main series. Really glad they are bringing this one with three series and the dirt one too. Amazing.
Loads of content and the career is decent too

@ChromaticDracula I felt it was a ridiculous grind. I too was looking forward to the collecting element but it was far to much of a grind. A gave it a good few hours of play but maybe I need to go back and give it more time. It certainly didn’t hook me or blow me away though.

Was really excited for this game. The grind to unlock stuff is ridiculous though. How this game scored so highly with anyone I don’t know. I know racing games and this is just a dlc heavy grind fest. Serious disappointment

People saying - this will be added and that will be added….. rubbish….. they have barely added any SNES and NES games since they ditched the regular updates and n64 they’ve launched with 8 hahah. Anyone thinking another console gets added this side of 18 months is out of their minds

Why are people so precious about the soundtracks being exactly the same…. They are good soundtracks and I’m sure 90% will be the same but I’m expecting a churn and some different tracks in. There is zero chance of the same soundtrack - song ownership has shifted majorly with loads of artists selling their back catalogue and no way that won’t impact these three. They won’t just leave them like they did the classic versions - I’m 90% sure they’ll fill out the playlists with other era and genre fitting titles and probably expand them.

I could be wrong but I know the soundtracks won’t be identical so anyone hanging on to that is gonna be disappointed

Last of the free content but will hook suckers into a membership for new content. I usually defend Nintendo but they have just gone the way of the rest of the industry now and the were the last bastion of the old school.
