Re: Nintendo Wins $2 Million In Lawsuit Against Switch Piracy Hack Store

StefanN

@0L1V14 Out of 3 PS4 controllers that i own, one started drifting slightly after over a year. All of them were bought used.

Out of 4 Joycons i bought, 4 of them started drifting within months and so did their replacement joysticks. All of those Joy-Cons and Joy-sticks were bought new.

I'm really tired of people saying other controllers drift as well. It's an exception on those, while for Joy-Cons it is the norm.

Re: Video: The Problem With The Super Mario 3D All-Stars Release

@MidnightLaces Apparently i didn't misunderstand you, seeing that you're repeating what you said. But they didn't take anything from anyone. What you apparently mean is they took the >idea< to port it from somebody else. Which is also false, seeing the development on this collection started before the homebrew port. Try to step away from your anger for this, because i'm not trying to discredit your feelings or defend what you seem to think i'm trying to defend.

Re: Ori And The Will Of The Wisps Launches On Switch Today

StefanN

I'm seriously considering this to be the first collector's edition i ever buy. This ***** floored me when it got announced, i love both games so much and to think they said a port wouldn't be possible...man. I'm just speechless and it made my day. I don't know if developers read through this, but i might contact them directly to tell them how thankful i am for this.

Re: Mini Review: Party Hard 2 - This Stripped-Down Hitman Clone Is A Fun Time

StefanN

I was soooooooo excited when i saw it was finally coming to consoles! I loved the first game. A stealth game for people like me who don't like stealth games. This game is just amazing, seriously. It's definitely more fun if you give it a little time and try to understand it. There's many things you can do you might not see on first or second glanze. You gotta factor in your visibility, stamina, distance from a victim that is enough to not have bystanders associate you with it and so on.

About one of the cons, how the character models are lacking - they look like they did in the first one. So maybe it just seems fine to me because i played the first one? It's definitely intentional and fits quite well in my opinion.

The police chases are indeed frustrating but in the first one you could just outrun them all of the time as long as you found a table or something to go around until they gave up. In this game they will absolutely get you but i feel that makes it better. You gotta plan ahead for the worst case (which is a police chase). Also i somehow found a way to glitch the game i think? Stabbing the cops doesn't work but i turned off the console right when i did that, turned it back on later that day and they just dropped dead. Actually replicated that a second time, same method.

@N64-ROX They did incorporate a deeper story into the DLC of the first game and also this one. First game had him become sort of an anti-hero. This one i haven't gotten through yet but there's apparently more motivation to it than killing just for fun. Also personally, i would still find it funny as an over-the-top reaction, but i get that that isn't funny to everyone.

Aaaanyway. Get this game, it's so damn fun!

Re: Rumour: Is Prince Of Persia Remake Coming To Switch? Well, It's Complicated

StefanN

@JLPick Welp, judging by the rumours, i'd say it actually will come to Switch, you're right. I mean sure, it's still speculation but as the tweet says, maybe it's intended to be revealed at a Direct. I'm pretty convinced now that it will happen. Too bad that the Remake looks kinda....well it's not what i was hoping it would look like, i can say that much. I'm still gonna play it though at least to try and see for myself.

Re: Rumour: Prince Of Persia Remake Won't Be Coming To Nintendo Switch After All

StefanN

Welp. I was surprised it would be coming to Switch. I'm less surprised that this isn't true after all, so I'm surprisingly not too mad about it.

@JLPick Well, as you said "if it's not one of the newer assassin's creed titles". So I'm pretty convinced this won't be coming to Switch as well. Ubisoft supports Nintendo but not in a broad sense. None of their shooters and no Anno are on Switch. As much as I would love Anno and PoP on the go.

Re: Nuclear Throne Studio Vlambeer Is Closing Its Doors After Ten Years

StefanN

@Dezzy I like your way of handling topics like this. You acknowledge things that you can't know and i just hope not too many will think you're implying anything, bc you're not. I hate when a rational discourse isn't possible bc the other side expects arguments to imply that you're siding with one party.

Btw, never heard of gamergate before so it's interesting to see you all talk about it.

Re: Review: Raji: An Ancient Epic - A Refreshing Experience That Leaves You Wanting More

StefanN

@Cool_Squirtle No i don't think people are arguing, stop that!

Anyway, i'm surprised searching this page for "Prince" or "Persia" turned up nothing. When i saw the game i felt like "hey that's kinda PoP-esque", saw the wall-to-combat jump "hey that IS PoP-esque" and then the character going downwards, slashing through the banner "Yep, PoP it is". Like - that alone made me really really curious about the game. It looks really nice and i've been longing for a new PoP-experience. Not that i won't judge this game on its own merits, but that sure got me interested!

Re: Review: Evergate - Soulful, Sumptuous, And Essential

StefanN

The game looked quite interesting. But is it just me who thinks that the backgrounds don't mesh well with the foreground elements? I feel such a disparity between them, that to me personally it ends up lacking coherency. Nonetheless it's got gameplay that has me interested.

Re: Dead Cells' Free Barrels o' Fun Update Comes To Switch This Summer

StefanN

@COVIDberry And that "something easier" is Dead Cells to you? Just asking to be sure .

And congrats man! You got this! I'm happy to hear it was such a rewarding experience! Gungeon is my most played game on Switch, so i'm always glad when others enjoy it as well, haha

EDIT - Funnily enough, now that Dead Cells is out on mobile, i've been getting some more practice in and have gotten better on Switch as well. Still though, i'm on the first boss cell (aka beat the game on lowest difficulty) and that already makes it really hard for me. I was actually close to beating it yesterday. That King's servant guy had like 5-10% health left, before he killed me, it was heartbreaking hahaha

Re: Dead Cells' Free Barrels o' Fun Update Comes To Switch This Summer

StefanN

@OorWullie Damn....to hear you saying "Gungeon is hard" gives me hope that i might be able to beat Dead Cells at some point. For every time i get mad at dying yet again it Dead Cells and thinking "man, can't this game be at least a LITTLE more forgiving" i play a run of Gungeon to calm down, haha. Really funny to see how our perceptions of those games are exactly opposite!
