Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Listed For A Switch Release On Nintendo's Website

StefanN

Okay so, this was on the official Switch release schedule? And apparently they're only releasing this Royal Edition on PS4 and that's all news there is to it? Come on, i mean i don't see this game coming to Switch as anything other than a Cloud version, but there's gotta be more to it than just a game that was wrongly thought (by Nintendo themselves no less) to release on Switch.

Re: Review: Grindstone - A Thrilling And Compelling Puzzle Adventure

StefanN

I think the "It looks like a phone game" sentiment mainly comes from this being on iPhone for a while before release. Yes puzzle games lend themselves to phones, but i feel that the constant reminders everywhere, that this was on Apple Arcade, really get this view stuck in your mind.

Fun fact: When i started playing Dead Cells on my phone, i couldn't play it on Switch for a while anymore. Why? Because it felt like a phone game now. That's why i really feel it is mostly an association-thing.

Either way, this game is absolutely amazing and apart from my regularly scheduled Rocket League, this is all i've been playing for the past couple of days. It is simply incredible. Super satisfying, great gameplay loops, wonderful presentation (looove the music so much!) and just an incredibly addictive puzzle game overall. Get this game!

Re: Minecraft Gets Rural With Free 'Farm Life' Mod

StefanN

Whaaaaaaaat?! This looks amazing! Taking care of the animals is my absolute favorite thing to do in Minecraft!

Feel like i might buy it now despite the performance issues everybody is talking about ๐Ÿ˜….

EDIT: Wait, will this stay free after the week is over?

Re: Cheeky Cartoon Bullet-Hell Game The Crackpet Show Announced For Switch

StefanN

I mean sure, others are probably going to enjoy it but i was thinking, "Oh cute bullet-hell shooter? An Enter The Gungeon-y game?" and then it's "cute but gore" which is soooo urgh to me. I just don't get how that's funny anymore.
Anyway, the game and the whole presentation of the trailer look good, hopefully it'll turn out to be a fun game for those who are into this gory stuff.

Re: '90s-Style 3D Platformer Clive โ€˜Nโ€™ Wrench Gets Brand New Trailer, Now Launching 2021

StefanN

Wow, this trailer is much better than the ones before! Love the music, pacing, presentation, it really seems they stepped the production quality up a notch, which of course makes me hopeful that the game is just as lively.
That brings me to my only concern so far: maaaybe the characters look a bit stiff in places? Or maybe not just them but the environment as well? I'm saying this because i love the look of it so far and just hope it won't be a "i would love to love it, but can't" kind of deal. I feel like this trailer is really really charming and i'm really excited for this.
Also it's just amazing to think how this game looked at the beginning and what a long way it has come now, damn. Seriously impressive and i have huge respect for this dedication!

Re: Hori Releases Accessibility Controller For The Nintendo Switch

StefanN

Man I love this. But the price tag is not exactly "accessible" ๐Ÿ˜•. I'm not saying that the price is a counterargument against valiant efforts to include people, i just feel like more people might get a chance to experience a for them potentially positive activity, if the price was lower.
Idk, I'd love to hear some more opinions on what I said. I'm not stating it as definitive critique or something, just speculation.

Re: Review: Supraland - A Playful Platformer With Squandered Potential

StefanN

Okay wow, i've not enjoyed the game back when i played it on PC and was worried how i was missing the appeal that apparently was obvious to everybody else. This review gives me some reassurance that it's indeed possible that the game just isn't for me (and some others) haha. Still kind of curious to give it another go as i've had games that i gave another chance on Switch with positive results (Bioshock for example). I think the Switch being my much preferred gaming platform makes a huge difference for me.

Re: Review: GONNER2 - Another Way To Die In An Increasingly Crowded Genre

StefanN

@roadrunner343 I've been asking myself the same thing! How some people seem to dismiss Rogue-games even if they find them otherwise appealing. Well, but i also agree with the "i don't understand it" part, so i'll leave it at that, haha. For me personally, roguelike is somewhat of a turn-off as well ironically, just because i already got so many games that i love to sink time into, with Enter The Gungeon being my most played Switch game, haha.

Re: Review: GONNER2 - Another Way To Die In An Increasingly Crowded Genre

StefanN

@SwitchVogel I feel people really underestimate the amount of effort it takes to craft a well-balanced roguelike. Yeah, items are random, but the development process is not. I feel like that is sort of the connection people draw, "what could be hard about adding random things?". Try taming chaos in a way that makes it consistently fun for as many hours as possible, fair, challenging, interesting, rewarding etc. That is no small feat.

On-topic: Can't wait to play this game! Gonner 1 was amazing!

Re: Bandai Namco Brings Family Trainer For Switch To Japan This December

StefanN

@Yanina Seriously, that would be such a huge incentive to buy Ring Fit, if more games released for the peripheral. Really just fun additional downloadable minigames, if you own one and Ring Fit could become like a one-stop shop for all your workout needs. Right now, i'm curious about Ring Fit Adventure, but it's just this one game, right? And if i don't like it, then what? I'm not into turn-based RPGs, so i can't imagine myself enjoying it. Luckily ARMS does help get a slight workout in, when it's an otherwise lazy day.
