Chris Pratt can definitely pull off lazy if Parks And Rec is any indication, but idk, it'll be hard to beat Bill Murray. Those movies sucked, but his voice fit Garfield pretty much perfectly.
I'm getting it for this first year since I have the discount from switching memberships. Whether or not I'll renew it depends on what Nintendo decides to do with the service.
Korone has always been the big retro game vtuber so I'm not too surprised by this news. Still, beating a game by using an entire console as the controller just seems like such a surreal experience! Kinda wish I got to try that myself.
I'm split on this. If you include the Animal Crossing DLC, the price increase for NSO is kinda understandable but for people who don't play Animal Crossing, it's way too much for just N64 and Genesis games.
Dynamite Headdy is one of my favorite Genesis games, and it would be such a cool addition to NSO! Never got the chance to play Mischief Makers so I'd like to see that one as well.
Let's face it, with one character left, Shantae didn't really have the biggest chance to get in as a main fighter. I'm pretty happy with what we got, especially the music track.
My Top 5 is: 1. Super Mario Galaxy (2007) 2. Super Smash Bros Ultimate (2018) 3. Twilight Princess (Got the HD version so 2016) 4. Kirby's Return To Dreamland (2011) 5. PMD: Explorers Of Sky (First played in 2017)
I definitely first played three of this games in the last five years, but none in the last year.
Growing up during the Wii era, I always really loved the instruction manuals. It was cool to learn about combos/techniques I wasn't smart enough to figure out myself!
I thought the interactive Wii U manuals were a good followup, especially the cool Mario Maker one, but Nintendo doesn't even do that anymore.
I just started replaying Minish Cap recently and it's still so good! The items, dungeons, music, and side quests are some of the series' best. Still an underrated gem.
I actually think the art direction is really cute and can be done well (World Of Final Fantasy, Link's Awakening), but the quality of the graphics here just isn't up to par. Everything's so low-poly, it looks more like a PSP game than an HD Switch title.
It's not my favorite 3D Zelda game, but I absolutely adore Skyward Sword. At its best, it has some of the best dungeons, characters, items, and musics in the whole series. I really hope that the button controls allow for more people to get past that initial motion control barrier because they're missing out on a real gem!
Looking at pretty much all of the other consoles, both Nintendo and otherwise, there's something so unique about that pleasing shade of indigo purple used for the GameCube and Game Boy Advance. I wish more consoles had that willingness to just be colorful outside of collector's editions.
I'm not super surprised Robobot is at first, everyone seems to like that one. But I was kinda hoping for SuperStar Ultra or Return To Dreamland to make first, they've always felt like the definitive Kirby games to me. Pretty solid list, though.
Brawl In The Family is still my favorite webcomic ever, and I absolutely adored Tadpole Treble. It's such a cute game with great music and I highly recommend it if you like rhythm games.
Okay, so this whole situation has become this massive mess over the past few days that has become far more than just another instance of Nintendo C&D'ing. To recap, the original C&D happened back in September, which only happened because of the words "Joy-Con". They were perfectly fine with the Etikons being produced as long as the trademark wasn't there.
Putting aside the fact that a crowdfunded product being shut down wasn't revealed until a few months later at the exact moment when Nintendo was getting a lot of flack, CptnAlex did a solid job of clearing up the misinformation at the time and started another indiegogo to revise the Etikons which became a success fairly quickly.
However, soon after Etika's brother opened up and revealed that CptnAlex never asked his family to use Etika's name, made even worse when a confusing statement on the indiegogo implied that the charity wouldn't even be getting all of the profits. Since then CptnAlex did talk to Etika's brother and showed receipts as proof that he didn't pocket any of the money, but his reactions to the allegations weren't great either, as he threatened to sue a Reddit user who made a post about it. Still, the fact that he based a controller on Etika and didn't bother to contact his family until this whole controversy is a bit shaky. Etika's brother seems to be planning an Instagram Live to discuss the whole situation, and we'll see how it ends up turning out.
In general, I think this has become this incredibly nuanced and messy situation that's way more complicated than just "Nintendo was right or wrong". There are a lot of arguments to make about Nintendo's copyright policies, but I don't think this is the best case to base them on. If anything, it might be best to distance yourselves from the whole situation and let the people involved resolve it amongst themselves. If you want to donate money to charity in support of mental health, I highly recommend that you actually find a charity and donate directly rather than do it through a middle man.
It's a shame this happened, but I think CptnAlex is taking this fairly well, and I'm glad that there's still a chance for the Etikons to continue being sold, albeit in a slightly different form.
I'm split on this. I totally get why Nintendo wouldn't want anyone to produce merch using the word "JoyCon", but this was not a good time to do so given that they were simultaneously honoring a dead person and donating the proceedings to charity. Not a good look for Nintendo at all.
Although, it seems like no one is mentioning the fact that CptnAlex is still allowed to produce these decals as long as it doesn't say "Joycon" on it, so I don't think it's a complete loss such as fan games and the Slippi incident.
Outside of one instance in one of the side missions, I didn't even notice the framerate until I saw people point it out. Then again, I still can't tell that Star Allies is only 30fps.
It was still a pretty great first impression for my first Warriors game, but I think a day-one patch to polish up the framerate would be very welcome.
I remember absolutely loving this game when I first played it. Even with the minimalist artstyle, I thought the story was incredibly charming and fun to play through.
Screen shake has to be used subtly so that you can feel the impact without it obscuring your vision. This might be some of the worst screen shake I've ever seen.
While I admire the game's ambition, I have to admit it looks pretty unpolished in some aspects, especially the graphics and the jumping. Maybe it plays better than it looks but I guess I'll wait to see how it's received.
I've been following the development of this game for a while now, along with Freedom Planet 2. It looks cute and seems like a lot of fun! As a fan of arcade puzzlers, this seems right up my alley.
@BaronCorvo The website suggests that you can unlock trivia by playing the game and there is a lot of customization, but that's pretty much it from what I've seen.
Tetris Attack is one of my favorite puzzle games of all time, so I'm pretty excited about Panel De Pon being added. It's a shame it's just the Japan-only version, though.
Paper Mario was included in a bunch of rumors. Not only does this lend more credibility to the 3D Mario remasters, but it was also mentioned in a rumor about a 2D Metroid game coming out. Could that Metroid helmet scene in the trailer have been foreshadowing, hmm?
I have the game on Apple Arcade, and it's a lot of fun! The levels get really crazy and there's a ton of levels and missions. I do feel it works better as a pick-up-and-play portable game, but I definitely think it's worth getting if you're in the mood for something goofy.
Japan is too simple and North America is a bit busy. Europe is definitely the best balance, keeping that neat clay aesthetic while focusing on the Pikmin.
The Untitled Goose Game is silly, but I don't think it would be super fun to build.
That Eggman Robot in the Sonic set looks like a lot of fun, though, along with the loop and the Half-Boiled Heavies.
Hyrule Castle is impressive, but with that many pieces, I'm sure it would be way too expensive.
Still, this is a solid lineup and it would be cool to see Lego branch out with more videogame-themed sets, they've definitely been doing it a lot more lately (Overwatch & Mario).

For those who weren't sure about whether or not this happened last year, it didn't: https://twitter.com/Cptn_Alex/status/1116438659102801926
CptnAlex did have a copyright infringement issue last year, but it wasn't about the Etikons.
It's also worth noting that CptnAlex is considering to launch a campaign to revise the Etikons if #FreeCptnAlex gets on trending:
