Re: Fan-Made 'Super Mario 64 Online' Released

StarryCiel

Kaze has made dozens of SM64 ROM hacks, and none of them have been removed, so I'm too worried.

As for this, SM64 Online blew me away! Part of me thinks Kaze overdid it seeing as the game contains the entire SM3DW roster and then some!

Re: Nintendo UK Followers Choose Their Favourite Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Track

StarryCiel

I'd say my favorites are:
1. Mount Wario (It's an extremely dynamic track with so many awesome sections. There isn't a part of the track that feels dull, from start to finish.)
2. N64 Rainbow Road (My favorite out of the three Rainbow Roads because of its great atmosphere, big jump at the beginning, and tricky section near the end.)
3. Shy Guy Falls (Such an underrated track! It's actually so well-made, and the waterfall sections are just so fun!)
4. Sunshine Airport (The multiple paths, loads of ramps, and great gliding section just make this track so enjoyable!)

Re: Satoshi Ishida Hints at the Upcoming Kirby Multiplayer Game

StarryCiel

HAL Laboratory has been on a roll recently with their Kirby games, with Return To Dream Land, Triple Deluxe, and Planet Robobot all being amazing (with me liking Triple Deluxe the best). If the game is a platformer, then I would like the multiplayer to be like Return To Dream Land's multiplayer, since I feel like that was done really well.

@JaxonH I totally agree with this person. Just because you have the Wii U game, doesn't mean that this version is bad, let alone having no value. I'm planning on getting it, especially with the Amazon sale, but if people feel like they want to stick with the Wii U version, it's okay.

I've actually played ports and remakes with much less additions than this game, and they don't get this kind of slack.

Re: Video: The Top Five Nintendo Switch Co-Op Games So Far

StarryCiel

@Zeargo The Co-Op in Bomberman R is definitely not as good as the Battle Mode, and I can understand that you may not have heard of it, but it's still extremely fun. Frankly, I didn't enjoy the Co-Op of Blaster Master Zero very much. It's a nice addition, but it's not really anything special.

Also, Snipperclips is not entirely an indie game, since it was published by Nintendo.

Re: Round Up: Yooka-Laylee's Scores Are In, And Critics Appear Divided

StarryCiel

I don't know. I feel like these reviews are a little too harsh. Especially Jim Sterlings's review, not as a surprise. Playtonic Games did say that this was going to be a tribute to the old N64 collectathons, so I don't understand why people would expect anything more. Now, I'm starting to get a little nervous about how critics will react about some other collectathons like A Hat In Time. It just doesn't seem like Yooka-Laylee isn't broken or badly made, by any means. It's just not innovative, and many games that aren't innovative get good reviews like the many first-person shooters out there, and the New Super Mario Bros series.

Probably the craziest part is that Nuts And Bolts got better reviews than this game.

Re: Nintendo Producer Highlights How Paper Mario: Color Splash Improves on Sticker Star

StarryCiel

To be perfectly honest, I'm starting to think that Bowser WON'T be the baddy this time.

Also, Nintendo basically corrected almost everything that went wrong with Sticker Star: EXP, Partner Cards, Looking For Thing Stickers, And Diverse Levels are big examples. What more does the Paper Mario fanbase want?

One more thing, Sticker Star wasn't THAT bad, and if this is an improvement over Sticker Star, then what are people going crazy about?

Re: E3 2016: Check Out the Paper Mario: Color Splash E3 Trailer

StarryCiel

@Einherjar If you don't like the game in general, then you don't have to like the game. I just think it's crazy how people bash on this game just because it's doesn't look as fun as TTYD, which I still think is an outstanding game. If the last few Paper Mario games were exactly like TTYD, then people would be complaining as well. I think a coat of fresh paint(absolutely no pun intended) might not be as bad as it seems.

Re: E3 2016: Check Out the Paper Mario: Color Splash E3 Trailer

StarryCiel

What more do these Paper Mario fans want?!

First, the Nintendo Treehouse confirmed that there is EXP. When you defeat an enemy, a hammer-like collectible appears. When you collect it, it fills a little bar on the paint hammer that can upgrade the amount of paint you have AND your HP.

There are also partners created by using the Partner Cards. They may not be Vivian, or Bombette, or Goombella, but they are a step in the right direction.

Finally, it doesn't matter if there are only toads. As long as the dialogue and the game still has the same sense of humor and wackiness that the Paper Mario series(Or practically any Mario RPG) is known for, it's going to be fine.

This hating is getting ridiculous! I think this game is leaps and bounds ahead of Sticker Star. It may not be as good as the first three, but that doesn't mean it's not a Paper Mario game. Paper Mario is not going to "die."
