It’s strange, though, that there aren’t any other proper football games on a console with such an install base. Konami should just update the graphics of International Superstar Soccer 98 and release it as ISS Retro.

When I finally bought a PS4 (little late to the party), I planned to go all digital. I quickly found out that physical games were cheaper than digital. I now own more than 100 physical PS4 games.

I recently bought a Xbox One X, and physical games are no longer to be found here, so I guess I’ll go all digital there.

Those PS2 software numbers makes you wonder what would’ve happened if the Gamecube and/or the Dreamcast came with a DVD-player.

Bad move, and for what - twenty more Wii U sales than Switch sales?

After paying more than twice the cost of a game through kickstarter, only to see them release it through retail at normal price, I’m done with this company.

It’s hard for me to vote on this American poll, but the second to fourth year of the NES era as well as the first two of the SNES era should be right up there in any region.

This is «not the physical treatment» I’ve been hoping for. My hope was a regular European release, not a break your bank for an American-import release.

Wonder if Mega Man Legacy Collection eventually will get a 50 percent discount. Is it the 20th og 30th time they’ve gotten a 30 percent discount?

It’s interesting information, but it’s tough to draw any conclusions from this. Games being released one year, doesn’t equal game made during that year alone, and some heavy hitters will clearly take more time making, while others are merely ports of previously made games. How much resources could Nintendo divert the first two years of the 3DS while almost no games were being released during the two last years of the Wii?

Man, just bought Dig on Switch eShop yesterday, after checking that there was no physical release. Oh, well, that’s what you get when you buy digital I guess.

What I miss for these older games are guides or hints that only help you with the most impossible missions, and only give you vague hints or pointers instead of the answer right out, like in which area you should look for the hidden village in Zelda II. Once I get stuck in one of these older games, I sometimes look up the solution too early, as there’s no way to tell if you’ve currently been stuck for 20 minutes on a 30 minute obstacle or a 3 hour obstacle.

@pblive I don’t believe any of the games appeared in Museum, as those were arcade games, while these new are 8-bit versions. That being said, I’d prefer if this new collection also was an arcade collection.

Add import fees etc. to Norway, and we’re talking about €60. No thanks.

I’m having a hard time understanding this. Is this a PEGI/European release? Is it limited only, or can we buy it at store when it releases?

@ivory_soul PlayStation no doubt had more games than Nintendo 64, and they all seemed edgier or more mature like you said. I’d still say you’d get as much or more fun today out of the 25 best Nintendo 64 games as the 25 best orginal Playstation games.

@nimnio I’d say both ISS ‘98 and WWF Wrestlemania 2000 are still among the best football and wrestling games ever made. And if I’m not mistaken, IGN’s list was made before some rather good Nintendo 64 games were released, such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Banjo-Tooie, Paper Mario and Conker’s Bad Fur Day.

With Nintendo Switch turning into the ultimate arcade machine, I’d like all the Midway arcade games.

This worries me. Is it easy to make backups of digital 3DS and Wii U games? I already have a memory card in my 3DS and an external harddrive hooked up to my Wii U - csn I just copy those files onto another harddrive?

Lots of IGN hate here. I appreciate what IGN has done over the years, going back to their 64-days, and I like a lot of the people that work there and many of their podcasts.

I find it rather ridiculous that there’s no way to buy some of these games from Namco in 2020.

It was decent. I would’ve been disappointed had it been announced 4 days ahead.
