In a bid to make things more convenient for Switch owners, Nintendo has revealed that you can now access, manage, and add games to your eShop wish list online.
Adding games to your wish list from the Switch eShop has always been relatively straightforward, allowing you to keep tabs on any releases you're interested in when browsing the store on your console, but this new option to do the same thing via the Nintendo website is very welcome indeed. If you stumble across a game page you like, you can simply hit the ‘Add to Wish List’ button.
You can access your very own Nintendo Switch wish list by clicking here. Nintendo says that by adding games, you’ll also receive a heads up via email whenever a game in your list is released or goes on sale. For this feature, you’ll need to opt-in to receive promotional emails from Nintendo.
Pretty neat, huh? Do you think you'll get any use out of this new addition? Do you regularly use the wish list feature on your Switch? Let us know below.

I've been aware of accessing your Wish List from within the Nintendo Account page on ec.nintendo.com for a while now, but I do not see a means of adding games to my wish list via Nintendo.co.uk game pages.
Is this only on Nintendo.com game pages? Their site is considerably different.
Finally. I've been wanting to do this for a while. I like being able to manage more and more of the eShop from my phone
I have this weird habit of checking the eShops of multiple regions pretty obsessively so I don't personally need this feature, but that's pretty cool and useful.
This is great. So much nicer than the eshop on the Switch itself.
@RupeeClock Just go to any game page, under the purchase button there's now an add to wish list button.
@chardir
Ahh, so there is. It wasn't showing before, it may've been a caching issue.
The Nintendo Life article really should've provided a visual example!
How about letting us sort our wish lists, Nintendo???!
Underwhelming; why can't I access the eshop from any browser?
So, Nintendo finally kind-of-sort-of-but-not-really finally provides functionality that the competitors have offered for ten years and we're supposed to applaud?
Finally.
But I need improved switch home screen more.
For a while now I have been receiving emails when items on my wish list go on sale. However, it doesn't email me for every sale for some reason. Anyone else experience this as well? Is this going to change with this new update?
I just figured some companies paid to advertise their sales like that, just like how I get Nintendo surveys about some games, not all.
@Yogsoggoth
Well yeah cause Nintendo is stil in 1994 as far as internet is concerned.
And anything Nintendo does deserves an standing ovation. ( sarcasm)
This is still way behind the times - I really don't understand Nintendo's insistence on not offering really basic online functionality. They're leaders in the field in nearly every way, and yet online is an area they've always been staggering behind in last place
@Yogsoggoth it's a heads-up, not an "applause" sign. But if you're feeling enforced to, by all means proceed to.😏
Wow, that’s incredible!!!!
This is cool! I don’t see where you can add games to your wish list though?
This is GREAT news. Not that I have a problem managing my list from the Switch, but this will allow me to do it while I’m not home now too.
@shani What browser doesn’t let you access the eShop? I know it works on Safari and Chrome just fine.
Ever since someone recommended DekuDeals to me I've been using nothing else for my Nintendo wishlists.
I recently discovered psprices.com. It's a great website that allows you to add Switch, PS4, Xbox One, 3DS, PS3 and Vita games to a wishlist and get email notifications for each game that goes on sale. It also charts price changes, so you can see if the deal is a good one or not.
Wonder if this is why any delisted games were deleted from my wish list recently.
@chardir I’m not seeing it. Is it it on every game page? I only see “buy digital”, “eligible for ____ gold coins”, and “redeem game code”.
@shani You mean this? https://www.nintendo.com/games/game-guide/ It works for the US, at least. I've done all my digital Switch game purchases this way.
@AG_Awesome Sounds like you are on the US site, I was referring to the UK site.
I'm having the same problem as others here are mentioning. I see the price, followed by the Buy button, then "Eligible for __ points," then "Redeem game code." Nothing for adding to the wish list. 🤷♂️
@chardir Yup. That must be it then. Maybe the US stores will update eventually too. The wish list to view on my account appeared at least
But when will they allow users to gift games (especially since most eshop games don’t release physically)
@bluesun
That's weird. On my switch it just says game unavailable on my wishlist.
Long overdue but glad to have it.
I noticed it yesterday. It was a real pain in the neck not to be able to add games to the wishlist without the switch
@BionicDodo Hmm that sounds alright I'll check it out, thanks.
Nice. Thanks for the information.
Why do games stay on the wishlist afte we buy them? It’s so annoying to have to go back to my wishlist and delete each game I’ve purchased from the list, otherwise it just stays on there forever. Why would we want games we’ve already purchased to continue to be on the wishlist? So dumb.
I've been asking for this for ages, so glad I can finally access my wishlist online!
Bless Nintendo, they and the internet really don’t mix...
Nintendo misses a very important functionality in the wish lists:
Purchaced games should automatically be deleted from the wish lists.
@Yogsoggoth ps4 wish lists are only in the browser, not on the system
This is nice and all but what I'd really like is the ability to share my wish list via a URL to others who are looking for gift ideas for me. I can do that with my Xbox wish list. You would think this would be a no brainer for Nintendo as it would actually increase digital sales if you could purchase gifts for people this way.
I don't even know how to access my wishlist on my switch. When you go to eshop it isn't in the main line up and navigation to it isn't obvious. Think the whole thing needs an overhaul
Yes use it a lot to track what’s on offer from what I’m interested in rather than trolling through pages of offers.
I have been asking for this feature forever. It took far far far too long but I'm glad it's here at last.
@RupeeClock yea.. where is that basic function on their website.. would've bought a lot more games..
@krew402
The wishlist function exists on the Nintendo.co.uk site now, and has done for a while. It will show up when you're signed in.
what is nintendo america doing.. T_T
@RupeeClock I'm on the US website and see no option to add either. It may be because I'm using mobile website.
This no longer works.
It was good for a while but now the option to do this has disappeared from the eshop website recently.
It doesn't say much about the Nintendo website that I click to this Nintendo Life article from Google to get to my Switch wishlist...
