Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's latest DLC character Min Min has been available for around a week now, along with a brand new stage, music, and more, but have you noticed the mistake that seems to have slipped through during development?
We wouldn't blame you for missing it, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed that poor old Spring Man has been misrepresented on the electronic billboard found on the left-hand side of Spring Stadium, the new stage that comes with the Min Min DLC.
As explained by Twitter user @SuperNintendGuy below, each ARMS character is shown on the billboard with their corresponding logo, but Spring Man seems to have fallen victim to a cheeky copy and paste job. When Spring Man appears, he's actually accompanied by Springtron's logo instead of his own.
Springtron's logo also displays when Springtron himself appears, so it's only Spring Man who's been left out. At least he got to be an Assist Trophy, huh?

HUGE accident! Someone call the HUGE police. I refuse to play until this is sorted.
Yep, I'm with the Huge guy. This is HUGE. Can we get the 'Random' tag removed and replaced with 'HUGE' please?
Give us Rex Sakurai.
Huh... A rare slip-up with the development team’s attention to detail. Regardless the ARMS content is amazing in Smash and it’s a shame that it’s kind of being overshadowed by the horrifying revelations in the competitive scene.
@NintendoWiiDS What horrifying revelations? Have I missed something good? Or is it just horrifying in the internet sense of the word?
@gcunit most the top players like zero and Nairo have done some terrible stuff, just search it up and you should see it.
@gcunit it includes inappropriate/sexual advancements/messages towards minors.
The Smash scene for most low key tournaments is a little uninviting. Smelly nerds in basements having tournaments with other smelly nerds. Kinda like the Bronies of the gaming world.
Despite all the complaints about Nintendo not supporting the tournaments. I think this news shows it was a good thing they stood clear (imho).
Nintendo is finished !
So, is this a hint that Spring Man is joining the battle?
(I jest, I jest.)
Sakurai, you had one job.. One job...
Spring Man just can’t catch a break
@Kienda have to agree it was the right move to remain distant from the wider Smash tournament scene for the most part. As pro scenes go i don't think there is one as entitled and toxic as Smash.
Too bad, I dislike Springtron. Nearly as much as I dislike Spring Man!
@Kienda Bronies? Are those LeBron's groupies?
Please don't fired Sakurai, it was just an honest mistake.
I am never buying one of their products again. Unreal. I can’t believe Nintendo would do this. After all the trust I’ve built up with them. And they just tear it down right there. I may never emotionally recover from this.
i am filled with righteous indignation. let’s go knock over a statue
Gotta roll out the patch for this game breaking glitch ASAP as possible!
Well I'm glad i haven't paid for this DLC just for this mistake, it is un-excusable
@gcunit Many victims have stepped forward to share their stories of abuse at the hands of many professional smash players. These have varied from harassment, sexual assault and more; the community has effectively imploded with allegations and confessions left and right and many professional players leaving for good.
Let’s just say that vocally and visibly enjoying the game is going to carry with it an impenetrable stigma for quite some time.
I’m so proud of the victims for mustering the courage to speak out about their traumatic experiences and it’s sickening to think that these abusers were allowed to amass so much fame and affinity from fans while they were hurting innocent people, but the past few days have been difficult for many...
It's not Ramen Bowl?
I remember seeing that pointed out! I just wrote it off as an oversight since the stream was recorded a month in advance, so technically we were watching an early build. It seems like an easy enough fix, hopefully it'll get adjusted some time.
Hang in there Spring Man, you'll get your due!
@NintendoWiiDS Thank you for taking the time to fill me in a bit.
However, I'd encourage you not to participate in stigmatising the game. Stigma is for the dumb masses; intelligent people know that stigma is misleading, unhealthy, and just plain stupid.
@gcunit I’m not stigmatising because a stigma relating to smash fans and the series in general is the last thing I want.
What I meant was that it’s probably inevitable for select outsiders to Smash and Nintendo in general to look at the entire community (professional and otherwise) and just see a horde of predators and this could be lucrative material for those who abhor Smash to turn others against it.
Smash is one of my favourite series of all time and it would be completely awful if recently discovered scum in the fanbase would ruin the game for so many genuine people who innocently enjoy it. I fear that such a huge exodus of professional players in the space of a few days for reasons such as sexual misconduct, could forever change the perception of the whole series in the minds of the more easily-influenced.
I’m not a participant. I would hate for anything to be held against this legendary series that I adore all because of a swarm of disgusting predators.
Preorder cancelled.
@Bunkerneath Yeah I can't say that Min Min is a big deal to me, definitely hasn't sold me on buying a second season pass.
Springman's logo is racist.
"Next direct" Spring man , no longer assists he joins the battle!.
Then the screen stops and he gets kicked by one of the ninjare characters. And again we see springman behind the window haha just kidding
@mesome713 How about no?
Lol, this needs patching with a 5gb update!
