Re: Talking Point: Xenon Racer Is Just The Tip Of The Iceberg For Falsely Advertised Games On Switch

SharkAttackU

Devs want to market these games the same way and using the same screenshots cuts down on time. Should they make special screenshots to sell each unique version? That’s just multiplying their work x4 for very little benefit. Is it lazy? Maybe. Is it grossly misleading? Not really.

If your burger doesn’t look EXACTLY like the picture in the advert, you’re going to demand your money back? Get a grip, people.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Livestream Coming This Wednesday

SharkAttackU

Yawn. Could not care less about Smash. Dont worry, i wont be watching. Was there really a need for a Smash Direct right now? The game isnt out for nearly 4 more months. A Smash Direct would have been better a bit closer to release, no? Mid September, maybe?

I would much rather have a regular Direct focused on other games and the new Switch Online. Dark Souls Remastered release date?

Re: Super Mario Odyssey Was Always Planned To Be Released On Switch

After playing Odyssey, which is a masterpiece, and getting 650 moons, i do look back on 3DW with even greater fondness. Its a pure platformer whereas I see SMO as more of an adventure/platformer. I felt far more challenged on a consistent basis in 3DW. Theres nothing like Champions Road in SMO for example. A lot of the special stages in 3DW are quite challenging to get all 3 green stars.

I love them both for different reasons.

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Has a Big Problem, and It's Too Many Great Games

The Switch library is decent right now. I just have BotW and Splatoon 2. Getting Odyssey on day one. A lot of smaller, independent games. Nothing wrong with that. I have and Xbox, so I have a ton to play. The Switch releasing mid-gen and being easy to develop for is paying off big.

I also have my Wii U still hooked up for VC and the numerous games not on Switch like Pikmin 3.

Great time to be a gamer!

Re: Soapbox: Breath Of The Wild Is Amazing, But Is It The 3D Zelda That Enthusiasts Expected?

SharkAttackU

I love BotW. Bought it twice. Once for Wii U and again when I snagged a Switch. I love the old Zelda formula, but it was time to go a different route. I love the fact that you don't have a limited wallet. It was infuriating to get to a hard to reach chest, only to discover that it was a rupee that you couldn't hold. Stupid. Needless. Good riddance.

Also I didn't care for the music in past Zelda games. It had the subtlety of a jackhammer. Especially Twilight. Love BotW music and non-music. Hateno Village has beautiful music. The lack of music in the world is very immersive imo.

Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U

SharkAttackU

I'm glad I own a Wii U. In addition to having awesome exclusive games, it's a great legacy system. I hadn't owned a Nintendo home console since the NES. The Wii U allows me to catch up on most of the biggest hits from the past and full Wii BC.

I do own a Switch, but, so far, only have 2 games for it. It's okay. I don't game on the go. It's nice to play in bed or when my wife is playing the Xbox. Hopefully Mario will be as great as it looks and Nintendo has some huge surprises in store for 2018. The schedule after Odyssey lacks some luster.
