For those seeking some fast-paced 2D platforming on the Switch eShop, there's a promising option right around the corner. Playdius has confirmed that Splasher has its final release date on the system, launching on 26th October for €14.99 / $14.99USD / £11.99.
In the game you use various inks and resources to 'splash' walls and surfaces in order to traverse environments and tackle enemies. Along with the standard mode there are also Time Trial and Speedrun options with online leaderboards, too, so the most talented players will have a chance to show off.
It looks rather impressive and has been warmly received on platforms such as Steam. Will you be tempted to pick this up?

Looks okay but there are a lot of good games out right now.
Looks decent. Too many other games and WAY too little time, though.
Will absolutely pick this one up have wanted it for a while.
It looks like some flash games that I used to play when I was avoiding work at school
It looks promising but there are so many great games coming out right now that it will probably be overlooked. Maybe a good discount might help it in the future.
It's one of those Slime San kind of platformers that aren't really my thing.
I kind of feel sorry for any indies releasing next week of all weeks, they're really up against it and with the rate they're coming every week it's too easy for any past releases to be forgotten, especially with the Eshop's layout as it is.
Ooh, I've been waiting for this one. It's got really good reviews on Steam.
It looks like a mix between The End Is Nigh and Portal 2. I love it.
more dumpster diving
@NintendoRob1977 this game has reviewed really well...
Hmmmm. Never heard of it but 'fast paced platformer' and 'well received' means I'm interested.

One of my most anticipated games! I think now I've reached the same point as a few others on this site where I can officially say my Switch backlog is becoming an honest to goodness problem. And I love that!
It does look promising. Hadn't heard of this one, but I will put it on my wish-list.
Speaking of lists... looks like there's another one for my ignore list.
Think I remember this from an indies sizzle reel - it really stood out even then. I really like the look of it. But... SMO next week. Can I justify getting this too?
I haven't heard of this, but it looks really fun. I'll have to keep my eye on it...
Wow this looks really great! Might even buy it on Steam and play it with Switch Pro Controllers on my Laptop.
