Even the announcement of the NX felt really soon to me, as if it was pushed sooner than expected due to poor Wii U performance. I'm certain the NX will kill the Wii U (if it's even a home console, or a hybrid), so I would like for it to not come too soon.
All the immature and inappropriate posts have really been dampening my enjoyment of Miiverse, so I don't mind a bit of a crack-down. I haven't noticed any epidemic with bans, had a pretty easy time with my account.
Probably Tropical Freeze, considering it's the better deal price wise. Always kinds liked DK platformers over Mario anyway, though the galaxy games may be a slight exception to that rule.
It is an utterly insipid idea. I don't understand the odd fascination of taking established characters and switching their genders. Link is Link; if you want a female protagonist create a new character.
Perhaps I feel a little TOO strongly on the matter, but it would tick me off to no end if Link was female; just as it was tick me off if Samus was male. Don't screw with the characters; create new ones.
Not even going to test the waters. They even have the audacity to put a $47.99 option? I could get a much larger, better retail game that gives more per dollar and still have some left over. Or I could blow it on this and still have to spend more once those jewels run out.
You know, I think it speaks a lot about my character (or lack thereof) that I worry about moving away from Capitalism mostly because I fear of what it would do to my game-purchasing abilities.
But in all seriousness I believe the big problem with capitalism isn't even pure capitalism, it's when croneyism gets mixed in. When government regulations grant special favors to certain businesses who give money to the right politicians, then competition is choked and innovation stilted.
Not too interested, except maybe Toad one day since he doesn't have a smash equivalent. Funny how the one truly 'unique' in this bunch is the one with the "lightest allocation".
No, I can not take this platform and will not spend a cent on it. Nintendo is a business and will do what makes them money; I won't fault them for that, them getting money is what gets me more games. But I will not contribute to making this cost structure profitable and hope it collapses.
I get some may stop being produced after a while, but this is WAY too soon. Not even a few weeks and it's over for Marth? Not enough time at all! I have to wait for Christmas to make sure I don't buy any repeats.
I'm not sure I'm getting this: they claim that all 719 pokemon are in these games (in addition to X any Y) and yet they are making all these legendaries, Latios/Latias (from the original games), and the entire Soar ability event-exclusive?!
This should be useful if I ever need to take advantage of a deal but I'm away from my Wii U. (My 3DS is ALWAYS with me. ...I seriously think I have a problem.)
However many more sales in hardware they are getting, I think they are losing out on game sales. I'm not shelling out for a whole new system, but I may have imported some games if not for the region lock.
I don't find it much of a problem if games have enhanced elements on the NEW as long as the old can still play them. (Like Miiverse and Smash). It let's better things happen while still bringing the basic experiance to everyone. If there are too many games only playable on the NEW, then I'll have a problem. (Though not much of one, since I'm getting it.)
I adored the first game as a kid, and fondly remember renting this one. I've been aching to find a copy of it, but alas my search has proved fruitless.
@ricklongo I'm with you there... though I am very tempted to get the new system...
It does raise some strange concerns for me... instead of new system generations, with obvious improvements in power and new libraries, will we get these sort of 'half-upgrades' that have a few exclusives?
Though lowering some GBA/SNES titles may be easier on my wallet, I never thought they were that expensive. They use to be full retail games after all, more expensive in the day than retail games now. I loved shovel knight, but that was a fair short game for $15. But I also bought the Oracle games for $12 for each, and both being full retail titles gave me a real run for my money. True we have bought a good many of these before, but that why I usually save my money for old gems I missed out on way back when.
This really interests me, and I rest assured that at the end of the day each item can be turned off individually. The amazing customization of this series really prevents any truly horrific game-changers.
@unrandomsam That still speaks to my point; it doesn't make it a gimmick. That is still an issue I'll admit and one (among many of course) reason I'm very excited to see how Smash Bros. will look at a 3D 60fps. What really bugs me is when 3D is included but doesn't look very deep at all. All Pokemon does for is push the background back a tiny bit, away from the HP bars. Adds nothing to the game, yet any 3D results in the full drop in framerate. If you're going to add 3D, it at least should be worth it.
Who is tired of carrying around a bunch of 3DS cards now there's the option to buy most any of them? I for one prefer to always go physical when I can.
And I'm SICK of people writing off the 3D as a gimmick. The real crime is that is is become more and more underused, making it appear as a gimmick. I don't understand how the gaming community with praise amazing HD graphics yet write 3D off as a gimmick. Both are to intended to create beautiful visuals for games in different ways. I for one love the 3D effect, and if you don't that's fine, but why is the beauty in OoT 3D labeled a gimmick whereas other games are praised for making them look more like real life, which we see everyday?

Re: Rumour: Code Digging With amiibo Raises Potential for a Future of Pokémon Cards and Mii Fighters
The Pokemon trading card game could end up beings the amiibo cards for Pokemon, just like the E-reader Pokemon cards way back when.

Probably Tropical Freeze, considering it's the better deal price wise. Always kinds liked DK platformers over Mario anyway, though the galaxy games may be a slight exception to that rule.

My favorite scale: -5 to 5. 0 is average and (hopefully) avoids the usual "7 (almost 3/4 of the scale) is average that we tend to fall into."
