Re: Ubisoft Will Not Release Any Additional Starlink Toys For Future Updates

Sam_Loser2

While not perfect, this game has been really cool and has meant something to me. I’m disappointed that it didn’t sell as well as it did. Despite buying the full digital collection, I wanted and still want the toys so bad, but I’m just afraid they’ll take up space after awhile.

I do hope there has been enough support to see a sequel or successor in the future, even without the toys.

I'm kind of disappointed by the fact each character's story is so separate. The lack of progression towards an ultimate conclusion is unfortunate, but my main disappointment is that to me it defeats the purpose of having 8 fully fleshed out characters if they never interact in a meaningful way and develop off of each other. Having the characters join together in a party despite not interacting only highlights the shallowness of their connection, making it feel like a pure gameplay companionship and not a narrative one.

Perhaps this is a petty complaint, but the idea of 8 characters coming together was the most appealing idea of this sort of game to me and I sadly don't think I could get into it without that.

I'm sad to say this kind of diffuses my interest in the game. The idea of 8 distinct characters and storylines coming together
and intertwining was a tantalizing thought to me, but when I recruited my second party member in the demo with only a text box for interaction it seems like recruiting the other characters will only be an RPG feature rather than a story feature. I just don't understand the point of having the characters come together if the interactions will be that superficial.

Re: Poll: Surprise! A New Zelda Is In Development, But What Do You Want From It?

I think there is still a lot to explore in this new form of Zelda; there are a lot of design elements in BotW that suffer from being too open, and a sequel to BotW could have an opportunity to pull some of the openness back so that there are more linear, tightly polished sections within a vast open world.

As great as Breath of the Wild is, and it is great, it didn't need to have EVERYTHING super open ended for open endedness's sake. The most glaring example for me were the dungeons. Did I really need to be able to solve the pieces of a dungeon in any order I choose? I just think it made the dungeon puzzles more disjointed.

Even the first game wasn't this open; while you didn't have to do the dungeons in order, there was still an order, allowing for a difficulty progression (even if they didn't exactly nail it). Breath of the Wild just got easier as I went through the game since I got stronger much faster than the world did, and I feel pulling the openness back a bit would help that.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE

Fahrenheit is the correct way to measure temperature when speaking in regards to human tolerance; the extremes of which are 0 and 100 on the Fahrenheit scale.

Celsius is the correct way to measure temperature in regards to water. Freezing and boiling, I get it.

Kelvin's good for everything else. 0 is literally no heat, it makes the most sense.

Re: Guide: A Breakdown of Confirmed Nintendo Switch Games and Release Dates

I was, and still am, eager to play Zelda on the Switch, but it's the only game for a while that catches my interest, and the others are mere ports.

I really don't understand Skyrim's delay. It's a fairly old game that's already received the port treatment, why would Bethesda be dragging their feet on this one?

While in a way I get the lack of backwards compatibility, the best thing about it is that it softens the blow of weak launch line ups.
