Pokémon games often find ways to stay interesting months after release, primarily through online events and distributions. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire fans in the US have some good news to savour, then, with a Dragonite distribution confirmed to be on the way.
Available as a serial code in GameStop stores between 22nd June and 12th July, gamers will be able to pick up the dragon-type which knows the moves Dragon Dance, Outrage, Hurricane and Extremespeed, while it also has a Hidden Ability of Multiscale and holds a Lum Berry (thanks Serebii).

We'll see whether equivalent distributions make it to other territories - how many of you in the US plan to grab this Dragonite?

I've always loved Dragonite....too bad about that double weakness to ice though...
Even if the distribution did make it over here, I'd be unlikely to bother getting it.
Just isn't anything special about it.
@TeeJay The Multiscale is so useful though. Slap a Weakness Policy on it, Dragon Dance first turn taking any Ice hit, and then start smacking things around.
As for the actual event itself, eh. Besides, do the event distributions ever have perfect IVs/Natures? Otherwise I would be better off just breeding the exact same thing only better. Only times these "special" Pokemon are worth downloading is when they have moves they normally wouldn't have.
Dragonite is my favorite POkemon. I want this... but I didn't pick up ORAS because its a remake w/o coop Battling like Soul Silver/HG. So boo-urns.
I don't understand why they keep releasing these event Pokemon that literally ANYONE can get in-game! Maybe if the events had good/perfect IV's, or were shiny or something then it would be worth it, but the event Pokemon kinda suck at battling TBH.
Mega Dragonite, if only
THE US IS ACTUALLY GETTING A DISTRIBUTION? WHAT WILL IT BE? THE DARKARI THE UK GOT? THE JIRACHI JAPAN GOT? IT'S.....
dragonite.
I've pretty much bred this Dragonite already, except mine has good IVs. However, Extremespeed would be nice to have. I'll look into picking this up if I'm in the area.
@TheRedCap30 I believe that award now belongs to Goodra
But I want Meloetta!!!! Oh well, I'll take it.
@XCWarrior
You aren't missing anything. Extreme Speed is the only move this Dragonite has that it doesn't learn naturally, it won't have perfect IVs, you'd have to keep resetting to give it the nature you want it to have, and it won't be shiny. You can go get a much better one through a trade request on a message board in less time than it would take you to head to GameStop and back. I've gotten better Dratinis through Wonder Trade.
Oh great, another Gamestop event. Well at least this Dragonite comes with two Egg Moves.
So Japan and the UK get actual event Pokémon and we get... Dragonite? Really? THANKS, OBAMA.
@TheRedCap30 What about Axew, Goodra (and pre-evolutions), Latias, and Latios. They all look so friendly
So where's our shiny charizard?
Honestly, I'd rather have a Pokémon like this, a solid competitive Pokémon with a fantastically rare move that also happens to be an egg move. Sure, its IV's and nature won't be perfect, but breeding isn't exactly hard in Gen 6. Definitely picking this up, much better than some legendary or shiny that still has awful stats, but can't really be improved.
@TeeJay when you have multiscale, the only move that can one shot it is sheer cold. that is, of course, if dragonite starts out with full hp
I already have a dragonite bred, trained, and equipped to go on my team. This one will be inferior in every way.
If anyone can help get an extra distribution code, mind helping send one my way? Wish I was in the US for events like these...
