Super Smash Bros. 4 is better, hands down. The physics in Melee are seriously outdated to a game that came out less than a month ago, and the ledge grab complaint doesn't even make sense.
Everything @Einherjar has just said, is right on the money.
@Einherjar I know. I'm just sayin'. Sega will inevitably release another Sonic game, too, so it would be nice if the Sonic amiibo actually did something. The same thing goes for Pac-man and Namco. They've just been using the Nintendo ones for New 3DS, so far.
@Einherjar I mean that if Capcom releases a game on Wii U or New 3DS, they should make Mega Man do something that none of the other amiibos can, because it's Mega Man.
I'm glad Namco is taking advantage of the amiibos, even if it is just costumes. The Pac-man, Mega Man, and Sonic amiibos will be so much more awesome if their respective companies use them for their own games.
I'm guessing that Namco has alot of freedom to use amiibo, so it makes sense why they would reap any sort of benefit from them, under the impression that the amiibo range is mostly, if not all of Nintendo's work.
Honestly, this whole thing doesn't make any sense to me. Nintendo had the cameras made at a factory that presumably already has the rights to make the cameras. That is how I think it is supposed to work, anyway.
I'm pretty sure we already knew this. The rumor that they were discontinued a week or so after they came was the ridiculous. There just won't be much use for a Game & Watch, Duck Hunt, etc. amiibos that don't have any other game to use them for. I hope at least the Pac Man, Sonic, and Mega Man amiibos stick around. Namco, Sega, and Capcom could take take major advantage of those amiibos for their own software aside from Smash Bros, if they play their cards right.
As fast as they are selling, amiibo is probably a hit at retail. In turn, more will be made and sold. People just go crazy when stuff sells out, then go to eBay to rip people off. People did this with Wii for like 2 years straight, among other things that sold out quickly,
It does seem like it's mainly his fault. If he really didn't get breaks, an assistant, and some form of cooling like he asked for, then that's definitely Nintendo's fault, but otherwise it seems like he had a weak heart or something.
I think the main difference between the browser and app, is screen resolution. I think the app can run content in 1080p, while the browser is 720p. I haven't had any problems with the app, except the annoying activate device that happens after updates.
I just always used to insert the cartridge, than nudge it a bit to the side. Or, if the red light was blinking, I would push the reset button while the light was on. If I timed it right, the game would run.
Nintendo must not have expected it to do this well, otherwise there would be stock. They probably figure it's a niche, so they made like a quater of a million of these things, or something.
So I guess this confirms that the game didn't run particularly well on any of the systems. Honestly, though, I think the bigger deal is the game itself. People were saying that Splintercell wasn't all that technically great on Wii U either, and that game was totally worth $20. I'd be willing to bet this is basically the same type of comparison. If Ubisoft can't get Watch Dogs to run in 720p on Wii U, that is 100% their fault. I couldn't really care less.
I got it the day after Christmas, 10 years ago. I was so hyped to play the Metroid Prime: First Hunt demo and Super Mario 64 DS. Having 3D graphics on the go was such a huge jump, back then. Everybody said PSP would destroy it, but then it ended up not having as many games, it was a lot more expensive, memory card prices were ridiculous, etc.
I don't even bother with listening to things, on the go. If I really wanted to listen to something, I would do it on my home theater system. Headphones can't compete with a home setup. You can still hook up your portable device via headphone jack, bluetooth, or Air Play. I don't care about Apple, though.
@Vineleaf - You are very right, except that they were actually charging less than what it cost to make PS3. HDMI, having a full PS2 in there, Linux, etc was very expensive at the time. It cost them like over $800, IIRC, to make the thing, then their arrogance thought people would pay $600, in hopes of selling alot of software.
Sony basically burnt a ton of money, especially once they had to drop the price. They just couldn't compete with Xbox 360's price and more accessible hardware.
EDIT; It was ambitious, yet arrogant. It's like the story of Icarus flying too close to the sun, but surviving. PS4 is a different story.
@DarkKirby That's why New 3DS is going to be a thing, so Nintendo can have some more powerful hardware in there. The New 3DS will also have DLNA PC data management, 3D visual tracking, and NFC. That means PS Vita still doesn't have some of the stuff New 3DS will have, or we can go to 3DS and still have 3D or SD cards. Sony isn't offering that stuff, and it matters to people, It's the same reason why people are choosing Android over iPhone, except in the this case, Nintendo is actually doing better, which is why they can make New 3DS a thing, in the first place.
Also. Wii U is supposed to appeal to everyone. Alot of people are saying that either "hardcore" Nintendo fans are buying it, or that it appeals to casuals. It can't be both, or either, because people saying either one contradicts the other opinion.
He can think whatever he wants. That still isn't going to change how an individual feels about any of them. I feel like Wii U has more worthwhile games than PS4, so that's why I have it over that. There's just some stuff you can't get on PS4, and it's basically like 70% of the Wii U's library.
If you are "mature", you will buy the game. That's why they delayed it in the first place. They thought maybe people would be more "mature" after 6 months
@FubumblR I was under the impression that SketchPad would be updated, or that you would buy the other features as DLC. The options that are in this upcoming full release are in SketchPad, but it says "Coming Soon". Anyone who has it knows what I'm talking about.
@millarrp They've said it was delayed for 2 reasons: To avoid competition and work on it more. It can be either or both. That's why they were comparing it to Mario Kart.
My top 3:
1. Skyward Sword
2. Wind Waker
3. Majora's Mask
Skyward Sword just felt so much more modern than any of the Zeldas, to me. If you enjoyed OoT, Majora's Mask is a must play.
Majora's Mask is a good move. A lot of 3DS players probably haven't played it, so now is the chance to play an enhanced version, and not everyone is willing to search out an older cartridge. Having alot of Zelda games available on 3DS is a good thing.
@element187 Actually, I think they said it would be 1080p and 60FPS on Xbox One and PS4. The real deal breaker was that they delayed basically everything, ditched Xbox 360 and PS3 in exchange for Xbox One and PS4(which is actually a good thing thing for Wii U, but bad for 7th gen), and during that, Xbox One and PS4 gained priority from the already existing PC build, because x86. Developers are trying to get their s*** together, for sure.
@Jazzer94 They also said that they were delaying all the versions and were making them better. They CAN get the Wii U version to run 1080p and 60FPS, but it's a matter of whether they can get that kind of performance by 2015.
@Rafie - Exactly. You can't just tell Nintendo gamers to buy another console for 3rd party support. That doesn't address the issue at all; it avoids it. That's besides that some Nintendo gamers feel screwed over by some 3rd parties with missing content, late games, and some quick/cheap ports. Even if Nintendo gamers wanted to buy 3rd party games right now, what 3rd parties have shown is questionable, anyway.
I was happy with games like Tekken, CoD, Splintercell, Sonic, etc. on Wii U, but not everyone else felt the same way, and I can agree that 3rd parties have screwed over Wii U in some ways; namely, CoD Ghosts, Madden, FIFA, Watch Dogs, Project Cars, etc.
Wii U should have gotten the Xbox One version of CoD Ghosts, at least, but it didn't. That's Activision's incompetence, unless they planned on being cheap on purpose. No one even knows anymore, but it's one of those 2. That's when having the game at all, or having one of quality are the only real choices between the consoles. There is enough reason to blame 3rd parties just as much as Nintendo, given the type of support they did give.
EDIT: 3rd parties are absent or crappy on Wii U, so Reggie is highlighting their strengths.
It's good that they are jumping on this. Nintendo has always had websites for PCs that are pretty cool. It makes about as much sense as that, for smartphone.
This comment section is screwed. The point is that Nintendo has more exclusives and different games, while Microsoft and Sony have less exclusives and shared 3rd party games. There is a big enough difference to say that Nintendo is the most different out of the 3. That's all he's saying, and there are advantages and disadvantages to it. He was only saying the beneficial part for obvious reasons, just like how Microsoft and Sony wouldn't openly come out and say they have less active exclusives than Nintendo, and by active, I mean games that they actually have enough time, money, and reason to make.
I agree. I don't think anyone would deny having CoD on Wii U, but the exclusive games and console specific features is what basically makes a platform. That's why both Sony and Microsoft have been trying hard to get more exclusives out there as soon as they can.
The exclusive content also gives a better picture for who is buying whichever console, and Nintendo has built up the install base almost entirely off of that. I would say 3rd parties are being spoiled by Nintendo building up the install base without much, if any of their help.
@Guitardude7 Some people liked Lost World. People have always complained about 3D Sonic games. If anyone likes 3D Sonic games, it's pretty likely they'll be fine with the controls in this game. Go compare Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Heroes to Lost World, and the controls for 3D Sonic games have actually gotten alot better. It depends on who you're talking to, I guess.
I agree that people shouldn't be buying it for Zelda DLC, though. The Nintendo costumes and stuff are just bonus.
@Yorumi I know this reply is late, but the cartoon channels is exactly where I saw the Wii U commercials. I saw them on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. There was 3DS Smash Bros, Pokemon, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart, and even Mario Kart 7. This is like around midnight, mountain time. I saw the commercials a lot of times. Hyrule Warriors was being shown like every other commercial with Shadow of Mordar.
Also, it depends on how you look at hype selling consoles. PS4 might be selling well, but hype isn't going to sell consoles in the long run. There needs to be substance to back it up. Just give it time. You're asking for things to have come yesterday. More and better games will come. PS4 might be selling, but it's debatable that it is ACTUALLY offering anything better right now, and that is besides that the situation would probably be the same regardless of sales. PS4 selling well ultimately isn't effecting Wii U, so a lot of your rant doesn't makes sense. PS4 doing well isn't going to make other consoles fail.
@Yorumi Dude, they've been advertising Super Smash Bros, Pokemon, and Hyrule Warriors like crazy on cable. I haven't seen MK8 in a while, but they were, and I barely ever watch TV.
@Peach64 Tsk, tsk. The Wii U has already sold a tremendous amount of software. The PS4 doesn't have nearly as many games sold as Wii U does, even with roughly 4 million more consoles in peoples' homes. It may not be as bittersweet as you think.

My guess is that this means that the eShop is a relevant place to gather data for their games, which probably wasn't the case back at launch.
EA did the same thing with Mass Effect 3: Special Edition. They released the (gimped) EA Sports games on the eShop, but left Mass Effect on disc.
