I am not pleased. This basically confims that everone should have just bought an Xbox or PS. This is such a disgrace, that I might sell my Wii U. Doing this to Nintendo fans is literally a crime. What a waste of freaking money.
I've been a Nintendo fan longer than probably half of the people working there, and they ruined Smash Bros. I can't even explain how stupid Nintendo looks, right now.
That's the thing about GB games. They move a bit slow, and take some patience. I have this on my 3DS, but have not beaten it. I think it seems easier than Metroid on NES. This is a smooth looking game, with the way Samus moves, IMO.
I don't recommend buying these. The artwork is nice, but the adaptation of the characters from the game isn't very impressive. I have the OoT and Majora's Mask ones, and they run too close to the game to see anything special.
@MoonKnight7 The point is that the option is there, and it adds another controller right away. It doesn't really matter how bad it is. That's why I didn't mind saying I'd try it at least once, regardless of how much I dislike it.
I don't even mind the Classic Controller Pro, honestly, and tons of people supposedly hate that over GCN or the Wii U pro controller.
They should have added in touch controls for the Wii U version, even though I'd only try it at least once. That free price must really matter, but they might as well make it a micro-transaction like for the 3DS(in app, though).
If they let Xbox One run Unity as an app, I'd probably become a developer right then and there, and so would alot of people, probably. That's the only way we should care, anyway, at least from my perspective, because we already know Xbox One can run the whole Unity program.
Watch, I bet if they do a subscription service, it will stream your Dish or cable through an app on NX or something like that, otherwise they're missing out on stuff mobile devices are doing.
I'm guessing that this will be a RTS version of Smash Bros, and the memory products will be things like items that you can send in game.
You'll be able to use amiibos, then throw items like bats, heart containers, etc, to advance your way through Master hands forces or compete against friends.
I guess I would say it will be like Project S.T.E.A.M., except Smash Bros.
I was totally displeased with e-reader on GBA. In concept, it seemed awesome, but they literally never released all the cards for the e-reader mode, and scanning the 10-up card over and over was too tempting, especially when I could beat the game anyway.
Jigglypuff is definitely one of my favorite characters, outside of Shulk, Samus, Sonic, Peach, Link, and Lucas. No one beats Jigglypuff with the straw hat on. I don't care what anybody says.
There was some kid that always told me you could go to Orange Islands in Gold and Silver. The Official Pokemon Fan Book almost got me to believe him, especially since you could go back to Kanto, but I realized it was fake after scouring the internet for info.
@Lizuka - I feel the same way, and yes, I also heard it was B as soon as the Pokeball "explodes" to capture them. I actually captured most of the Pokemon with a Great ball, because of it, including the legendaries, regardless of whether the rumor was true.
It's pretty ridiculous how only a few of the lies survived. I remember everyone saying that you had to look at that arcade machine by the ocean to get Pikablu. Too bad it wasn't real, and I did try the lies.
It almost doesn't even make sense how Missingno was discovered so fast, honestly.
I'm guessing it will be better than the other Yu-gi-oh! 3DS game. I think the one on Xbox One looks pretty good. Pokemon Co. just needs to get the Pokemon TCG on 3DS, like iPad.
@Jazzer94 - Meh. I think it will probably be the same version Xbox One and PS4 got. Minecraft isn't that demanding of a game and Wii U can do it.
The only reason why they even said it wouldn't run on 3DS, is because they weren't even trying to get it on there and it would even probably run in 3D on New 3DS, at least. So with enough effort, the games will run in full.
This game is on every platform now, which is why cross-play/buy needs to happen for this game, otherwise they're letting the whole fanbase down(everyone with a device that runs it).
Maybe they still can, or create a Zelda game with her as the main character. With twisted dimensions, time distortion. magic, etc, anything can happen, including Ghiraham somehow being Navi or Vaati somehow transforming into a human that is probably Ghiraham's brother. There's no way to know anymore.
They don't even need to put this game on Wii U, probably, because everyone already bought and played the crap out of it on everything else. I'd say it still matters more 3DS, and that goes back to saying that cross-platform multiplayer and cross-buy needs to happen on everything.
GamePad utilization needs to be there, IMO. I know off-TV play matters for some, but crafting and doing other stuff on the GamePad being absent is a HUGELY missed opportunity. An update is always possible, but it makes absolutely no sense why they would leave one the biggest features of Wii U out. They don't even have Smartglass or PS Vita Remote Play running on the other consoles when the feature could be there and matters for people who want that type of experience. This could be said about alot of games, actually, so I guess it's not much to expect anyway, but it still matters in the light that the GamePad is still Wii U's main controller, and there won't be anything interesting on the second screen.
It's not surprising. They have every right to think that, but a lot of it still goes back to misunderstandings and misplaced doubt from the consumer. The 3rd party developers are failures in many aspects, even on Xbox One and PS4, so personal opinion actually matters more.
Have fun with yearly releases that rip you off and micro transaction cash grabs from EA, exclusively on x86 and mobile devices.
Not to mention that Xbox Live should be free, and Sony failed with PSN on PS3, which is why they require PS+, now. That's how things even out in the long run, when you look at all 3 companies.
A lot of the games I would choose aren't on the list: Deus Ex Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate ZombiU Splintercell Tekken Lego City Rayman Legends
I played those way more than the 1st party games, besides Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and Mario 3D World. I'm only halfway through my second playthrough of Pikmin 3, and I haven't played it in a long time. I haven't beaten DKC: TF, yet, either, but it wouldn't be on my list, anyway.
I agree that it still looks mostly like a high quality PS3 game, but that says more about the studio progression, than it does the hardware. There was no way to make every game look like Uncharted 3 or Beyond Two Souls(and even those needed more texture work, IMO), besides Sony's efforts(3rd parties just ran the Xbox 360 version), and Nintendo wasn't even doing HD, yet. That's why it still matters that Nintendo is continuously improving Wii U's graphics.
I would still say the geometry and textures are a bit better than most last generation titles. Wii U will also be running the GamePad, 5.1 PCM, and running in 720p upscaled to 1080p(like Nintendo's other games), so the Wii U is running things that weren't being done on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Even Xbox One and PS4 don't have as good of sound quality, as far as I can tell.
Nintendo is still working hard on improving Wii U's graphic engine as a whole, for sure. I'm not going to be surprised when a game comes out that looks as good as the Zelda tech demo, period. That's just how graphics improve over a generation. Compare Gears of War 1's graphics to the progress they made to Gears of War 3, or Halo 3 to Halo 4, and that's why the 8th generation consoles were getting ports of 7th generation games. That's why no one should be surprised when the graphics get even better in later games. These graphics are on par with games of similar graphic styles on Xbox One. Wow.
@Mk_II Well, $4 billion is a pretty big drop. It really depends on how much money they are taking from the investors, but one thing for sure, is that it didn't take $4 billion to make this app, which is 100% that they are full of crap.
@crimsontadpoles - Ya, well they're dumba$$es. Besides, Nintendo could release some good mobile that isn't Mario or Zelda. They already have Pokemon TCG on iPad and can do other stuff like that. Miitomo actually looks like a good app for mobile, because it looks like Tomadochi Life, but they were comparing it to FaceBook like idiots.
EDIT: I agree there should be more in the app(like maybe turn based mini games like Words w/ Friends or something similar), but it is still a nice little app that people can do instead of usual texting or other messaging stuff. Let's not forget that we're comparing this to crap like Flappy Bird that was basically spam and advertisers loved it.
They better watch out. I saw the Regginator pacing the premises, and he wants the SNES Playstation back; for good, this time. He just barely missed the bid, and there's a file on that machine that will upgrade the Reginator's firmware to uncontrollable levels.
I'm not talking about Reggie. I'm talking about the Reggie look-alike bot from E3, that can't drink water.
