Re: Talking Point: New Nintendo 3DS, Operation Faceplate NA and the Bigger Picture

@unrandomsam: it's amazing how much you know about Howard Lincoln, especially being across the pond. Being from Seattle and a Seattle Mariners fan, I know a lot about him. Despite the lack of success with the Mariners, he did some amazing things with Nintendo, including battling to get the rights to Tetris which I recently read about. It's a shame he is not leading NOA right now.

Re: Card Format amiibo Confirmed to be Heading our Way This Year

Nintendo, I thought you were concerned with producing less waste and being a more "earth friendly" company??? At least that is the impression I got with the low energy using Wii U, the lack of manuals, and the flimsy game cases nowadays but now you are creating even more physical waste for the environment with these products. Oh, and for the record I am not one of those environmental people (I have over 10 amiibo); I just find it funny that it is a reason they gave for lack of manuals and the weak game cases I feel like I can rip in half.

Re: Review: Blaster Master (Wii U eShop / NES)

@Spoony_Tech: Agreed, @WaveBoy should be ashamed. This game is a NES all timer! One of the few originals I kept from my childhood. He must be blinded by his California Raisin shades. If replaying the game to get to the final boss is such a pain, then why not just save state it right before that fight?

If only games today had half the creativity that this game had...

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Dated for North America in Flashy New Trailer, amiibo Support Also Confirmed

Ryno

I would love a Xenoblade 3DS bundle, I think I may finally get a 3DS to play this gem again.

And now here come the complaints about amiibo's... First they were stupid, then they didn't do enough, now complaints about the little bonuses in other games besides Smash (their orignal purpose) and lastly people are made because they didn't preorder one from Gamestop when it was available for at least a month.

I'm downloading Trilogy despite owning the physical disc. It will be nice to have a physical copy of the game. I just beat MP 2 a few weeks ago and thus finishing trilogy. Incredible games.

@rjejr: First, let me say I hope your New Year's Eve and Day went well. I'm looking forward to when my kids are "old enough" to really enjoy New Year's Eve with them. Second, I need to get used to your new avatar. Now back to our 2nd favorite discussion, amiibo. I think one of things that gets mixed up with these particular amiibo is that they are the specifically the Smash Bros. line of amiibo. Zelda U, StarFox, XBX, the next Mario game, etc. might get their own line of figures so in that case I think amiibo is limitless. The fact that the Smash amiibo line works with other games, well I see that is a small bonus. I'm not arguing whether the Smash amiibo are "worth it" because that is up to each individual who is interested in spending $13.00 on a figurine of their favorite Nintendo character(s). The smash line of amiibo may continue on for many months but eventually they will get through all 49 characters and then I imagine they will produce other lines specific to their upcoming games. Yes, I have a Fox Smash amiibo and I would buy another amiibo of Fox that was part of the Star Fox amiibo line if available along with some other duplicates.
