Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #52 - Mega Man 2

Ryno

@Wavey84 Agree, NA hands down. NA Mega Man 2 cover is an all-timer of bodacious proportions. I am immediately taken back to summer of 1989 and the 15" CRT TV that I used to play it on.

Re: Review: Bayonetta (Switch eShop)

Ryno

@Gamer83: Man, I have been tired of virtue signaling since it even became a thing. The people that virtue signal appear to be covering for something.

Oh and LOL at a review for Bayonetta in 2018. Is Nintendo going to bring out this game every generation?

Re: Bayonetta 2 On Switch Will Come With These Changes

Ryno

@rjejr: So you have a Switch? Maybe someday I will get one but there are way to many PS4 games. Plus I think the accessories are overpriced and don't like how much you have to download Anyway, I thought the original was better than the Bayo 2 as well and I played both on normal.

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games and Accessories for September and October

Ryno

@WaveBoy So do you have a Switch? I don’t and not really planning on getting one though Metroid Prime 4 would have me pretty tempted. I want to play Samus Returns too so I will need to find a 3DS just for that game. Yeah, Mario Odyssey does not excite me. Nothing else can truly captures the magic of video games like 8 & 16 bit. Heck, I even have a pinball machine in my basement that is more magical then todays stuff. With that being said, I still like some modern games and use my PS4. PS4 games go down in price regularly so I get games pretty cheap unlike with Nintendo.

The whole Switch situation is sick to me; the price and availability of the unit, the price of the accessories, no D-pad except on the $70 Switch “pro” controller, amiibo crap, memory situation, etc… are all a big turnoff for me.

I got a SNES classic preordered (yeh Star Fox 2!) but that is the last Nintendo will see of my money for awhile at least. Right now I am rocking an AVS with an Everdrive Flash cart for NES games, my SNES with HD Retrovision YPbPr component cables and a SD2SNES flash cart, PS4, and soon to be SNES classic (had to have it since it’s my favorite console ever and some of the greatest games of all time). That is more than enough for now. I will just continue to buy an occasional inexpensive PS4 game. Video game expenditures need to slow down for me.

Anywho, I hope you do get to start a family some day. It’s more rewarding than beating Ninja Gaiden III (NES)! As for me moving across the country and taking a pay cut to live on 40 acres in the country instead of a neighborhood has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. A virtual world of video games is fun to visit, but doesn’t compare to the real world.

Re: Nintendo is Selling its Majority Stake in the Seattle Mariners

Ryno

Yamauchi originally bought the team to save the team and to keep it in Seattle (unlike Howard Schultz and the Sonics). His intention was always to sell it back to local ownership.

Oh and good riddance Howard Lincoln! You should have stayed with Nintendo, you were much more successful there.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

Ryno

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD gives a second chance to one of the most talked about and debated entries in the series to date. "

Seems like that could be used in a review for any Zelda game remaster.

Anyway, never got around to this on the Wii so looking forward to playing this for the first time, with the "definitive version."

Re: Preview: Looking for the Light in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

Ryno

@rjejr: Oh man, I miss you. Glad to see you still think of me whenever you see a Wii Mini though. Yeah, I will be in no hurry to get a "NX" either. The $$$ just don't make any sense (or cents) compared to owning a PC/PS4/XB1when it comes to the value for your money. The so-called Nintendo "sales" are just pathetic. I will keep it an eye on the "NX" though if nothing else, they are a very interesting company to observe..

Re: Preview: Looking for the Light in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

Ryno

@rjejr: I am more O.K. with paying $50-$60 for a "Remake" like upcoming FFVII (1, 2, 3) than a "Remaster." At least for a Remake the assets are built from the ground up. Honestly though I'm not the biggest FFVII fan, I played it recently and made it through Midgar then was like OK, time for something else (it was the first PSX game I bought as a teenage). I may go back to it someday though before for the Remake comes out.

It's interesting how quickly Sony and Microsoft games go down in price compared to Nintendo's (which hardly do if at all).

Re: Preview: Looking for the Light in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

Ryno

@rjejr: Oh man, I have missed this place! It doesn't seem like much has changed.

This will be my my first Wii U game in awhile. I never played T.P. and glad it has finally been cleaned up. I agree that HD remasters should not be sold for $50-$60 though (at least I am getting 20% off with Prime). I got GoW Remake for $15.00 last year and it included 4 free previous generation games. Nintendo man, to expensive.
