Looking forward to this unique game for a Nintendo console, hopefully this game wont be a bust.

@rjejr: My thougts were that I was picture someNIntendo peopel sitting around thinking something like this:
Group Leader: "So guys, let's make this quick. What do you think we should do with this game 'Splatoon,' releasing in a little over a month? Do you think we should try to market it or just put it out there like W101?"
Group Leader Cronies: "We don't know, when's the next game with Mario coming out?"
Some Underpaid and Relateively Unknown Guy (but has some business sense): "Let's try something different with this game, let's actually promote it and I even suggest having a theme and a direction we want to go with it. Something like 'Claim Your Turf' (and pulls up YouTube and shows the Nerf commercials you posted)."
Group Leader: It clicks in his mind like whoa. Smiles and says "there it is," ends the meeting quickly and goes to take credit for this direction with Nintendo head honcho's.

I'm diggin it!

Nintendo could've sold-out of these bundles in 5 minutes if they only made it a unique Nintendo style limited edition with a few paint blotches on it. I hope the exclusivity deal was well worth it for both companies as I don't really see this selling all that well.

Enough with Mario Kart now. Time for a real F-Zero

@rjejr: No this is not coming west, they wasted our time at E3 last year just to show us what we wont be getting.

@Kifa & @rjejr : Because the disc is nearly maxed out without the data packs. There was not enough room on the disc for the information to download off of.

I picked this up a couple days ago. If anybody is going to get this game you better preorder the Wii U version because that is the only way you are going to get Yuji Naka's "original and real version" which is the Wii copy. The Wii U game is a port of the 3DS game which was not made made by Naka.

What I really like is how video game companies will no longer include manuals and cut plastic out of video game cases which makes them super flimsy in teh name of "protecting the environment" but they have no problem producing tons of these unnecessary plastic trinkets (and the packaging waste that goes along with them) for their games.

After I'm done collecting the Smash amiibo Line, I want to see the whole "toys-to-life" industry crash in on itself.

@rjejr: Can you afford a minimum of 100 hours away from your family? This game is a time sink, fantastic game though. It is tempting me to finally buy a 3DS just to go back through this game "casually."

Yeah the battle mechanics may seem complex at first, but with Xenoblade I learned them pretty quick and the game did a good job of explaining them.

Nice article, I hope someone at Nintendo reads it if for no other reason Nintendo hears more about these problems. I agree with the comments above that Nintendo, to be "fair" could sell "limited or some of the highly desired products" direct from their own site, and have a 1 per address rule.
