This game is amazing. My first character choice was Blue. I am using a walkthrough. I am almost at the end of the story for Blue. My next character choice is Lute the bard. The key to this game is to pick an easy character story in the beginning and work your way through the characters. You should also have multiple saves. I rate this game an 8. The battle system is fantastic. The story is ok. This game is everything to me until Shin Megami 3 comes out.
I’m one of the few people that owned the GameBoy color version. I might pick this one up if the Saga game that I get sucks. I’ll be in a drought. I already beat Bravery Default two. So I’ll be onto a metroidvania game. Regardless, this one’s going on my wish list. If you haven’t played it, it’s great. Get this game.
I remember the N64 version. I found it boring. Graphically this game looks pretty nice, but you’re gonna have to do more for a game than just take a picture or throw a few mini games in there. Sure you get to catch them all, But I can do that for the main game so…… Yeah.
LOL, this is a typical Kemco article and the same old comments. It’s just too predictable. I’m wondering what kind of person actually buys a Kemco RPG? I mean, I’m not hating on the people who buy it. I’m just curious in the demographic that’s all.
I’ve just finished playing the first two hours. It is a great game. There’s some grinding involved, but the quality of life makes it so much easier. If you’re a fan or you love RPG‘s get this game.
The first one was great but at the end, it got a little boring. The second one was just OK. I’m excited for this one. I played the demo and I wasn’t all that impressed but I can appreciate a good JRPG. A good RPG only comes out every 6 months so even if this one’s just OK, I’ll be all right with that.
I kind a like these obscure games. Fire and ice is the sequel to Solomons key. I loved Solomons key as a child. I’ve beat that game and spend millions and millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of hours playing that one. I think I’m going to love fire and ice. I never played it.
@Nintendo_Alski It was the Gamepad it was too bulky and I didn’t have the other controller. It hurt my hands.I was totally getting into it but it was totally hurting my hands. Then some other game came out on the 3DS, I don’t remember and that’s what happened. I also have the lite. I think would be good for the lite.
I didn’t even know this game was out on the switch. I have it for the Wii U and the controls with the game pad was Abysmal. My hands were hurting after about a half an hour. This is a button mashing fantasy. I will probably wait for a good sale. It is on my wish list.
2020 really did suck. I mean come on, we Americans had to deal with divisive politics, a pandemic, job loses and on top of that; we had to deal with the lack of Nintendo games. That being said, my favorite game of 2020 would have to be Xenoblade Chronicles the definitive edition. It absolutely streamline this classic Xenoblade title and made it even better. It also had a second story which was nice. I cannot wait for 2021. I hope everybody at Nintendo Life, everybody on this site and the world has a happy new year.
The review is spot on. Do not waste your money. I fell in the camp of playing it when I was younger and the retro vibe was very strong for me. These games are rudimentary because they’re on the game boy. I had no idea they were that simplistic when I was younger. I enjoyed them back then and that’s where they should stay in the past.
I picked up Final Fantasy legend collection. I wish there were color pixels and more options for quality of life. It’s OK I used to play it so much when I was about 13 years old. It would seem it’s very rudimentary. It was on the game boy so that is probably why.
I am playing it now and I like the mechanics better in the original Hyrule Warriors. That being said, I’ve only played about 40 minutes of it. So I better get cracking and maybe my opinion will change.
Nothing for me until 11/20. I have cracked open my WiiU and wanted to play Pikmin 3, but got side tracked with the Wind Waker. I never realized that the WiiU is one big Zelda machine. BOTW, Twilight, OoT, Majora, The DS Zeldas, Link to the Past, Minishing Cap, LoZ, Adventure of Link and Skyward Sword. Ummm.. I am in a rabbit hole.
I remember this because I was so disappointed in I am Setsuna. IT was just Dull and boring and RPGs are my favorite. I played Blaster Master. I actually went back to my WiiU and bought Twilight Princess to get the wolf for Breath of the Wild. I went in a rabbit hole and started playing Twilight Princess. I didn’t go back to BOTW until the pandemic started.
A little disappointed. I wanted the EXP system. It is not a deal breaker. It will be on my Wishlist. I am still playing Cold Steele/Trials so I could wait.
After I’m done with this one. I’m going to break out my WiiU and play X over again. I just have to buy reading glasses so I can read the text. This is one of my all time favorite series.
I’m all about the Xenoblade. The switch version is amazing. I am at Prison Island now but decided to catch up on fetch quests. Pokemon DLC will have to wait because XENOBLADE rules!!!!!!
I got really far on the first one on the vita. I didn’t get to finish it though because there were other games I want to play. I played the trail series over the years and I absolutely love them. The first one was great. This looks like one of those things you go back. I wish they had all three of them on the switch. I also wish my iPad Pro would do text to speech properly. Instead of me constantly editing. I don’t know what I was thinking when I purchased that instead of a MacBook Pro. I wanted to save a few hundred dollars. In the end you get what you pay for.
This is a game you buy a collector set for. I have the Wii version one and the 3DS version one. This is clearly one of the best JRPG is in the past 10 years.
Well, I’m about to do my ring fit coronavirus routine. So I guess I’ll update it. I really like the option of finishing your exercise after you Beat an enemy. That part always annoyed me to the point where I choose to not even finish the adventure and just do my routine.
I was excited about this one. The nostalgia factor is very high. It will still be on my wish list. Sometimes a game that takes an hour to beat takes a lot longer than that. Especially if you’ve only been playing JRPG’s for a good minute. I’ll wait for Nintendo to send me an email saying there’s something on your wish list on sale check it out.
This game was fun when I was younger. I still own this game. There is no point in spending $60 on a game you already own.. I didn’t do it for Link’s awakening and I’m not gonna do it for that Pokémon spin off. It’s a disgusting cash grab.
I purchased this game last night and I love it. I wanted to wait for the patches and I waited for it like a year. I am really glad I waited because I am loving this game right now. It runs pretty good . You can see a little lag now and then, but it really is no big deal. That’s a lovely game.
@somebread And this thread is kind of frivolous to me right now. It is dating Sim with minimal graphics. It’s inclusive yay and great. Let us move on, it is subpar.
I am totally getting a pass. I can’t wait to finish it. Now that the Pokémon hype has died down somewhat. I have been playing the heck out of this game. It’s great. Leafeon is the bomb. You can hate all you want on this Pokémon game but it is giving me some mileage on the hours of gameplay.
Uh.. Pumpernickel.. I was waiting for this one. I think I’m actually in a drought now. I guess it’s time to check my wish list on games I didn’t buy on the E shop.

Too bad. Switch couldn’t get a real KH. This spin off looks basic too. I would’ve picked it up if it wasn’t a rhythm game. Oh well.
