Today sees the release of the "beloved" Neptunia RPG, Megadimension Neptunia VII, on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
To celebrate the occasion, Idea Factory is offering a three-week-long launch discount of 20% off the $29.99/£26.99 standard price - reducing it to $23.99/£21.59 (offer expires on 17/08/2020). If you'd prefer a physical copy, Limited Run Games is also offering a hard copy of the game for $39.99 or your regional equivalent (not including shipping and handling).
This title was originally launched on the PlayStation 4 in 2015. DLC created for other platforms will be available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch as add-on content, minus Million Arthur - which is no longer purchasable. If you take the digital route, the game will require roughly 7GB of free space.

Sounds nice and I do like the game myself, but I'll wait for a bigger discount like I already have with other games in the series.
...but it's great to see this on Switch at last, especially after how super duper disappointing Super Neptunia RPG was for me
On the wishlist it goes. Between Super Neptunia RPG and playing Re;Birth 1 on PC, I wouldn't mind more Nep. Glad I checked out the series last year.
If the game launches with a discount, that’s probably not a good sign. Still gonna look out for it however.
@Apportal or it could be just marketing. Would NintendoLife have published an article about the release of the game, without the discount?
Looks good but not something i'd buy right away
Nepu Nepu Nepu!
@Incarna Yeah man weird choices. Like they don't bring out the rebirth improved PS4 port in english but randomly bring out the OG version of VII to switch.
DARTBOARD METHOD ONCE AGAIN
Glad I waited then!
@Nephstinus There are some workarounds though. You can disable some graphic effects to make the game run more around 30fps. It's still far from optimal, but i think it makes a big difference.
Meh, tried finishing this like 3 times over the years. Always end up playing something else after a few hrs. Not a very good Neptunia game.
Great game but without playing the earlier ones you don't know more about certain characters in it, hence it being a weird choice to bring out.
@Apportal lots of games have been doing this that aren't AAA or AA releases. Not necessarily a bad sign...it helps keep them on the best selling listing page on the eshop that much longer so it doesn't get lost in the weekly updates.
@TechaNinja I thought people had issues with the improved port? Mechanically speaking I read some criticism of that version.
I bought the Limited Run physical edition and it was $49.37 (U.S) after shipping and taxes. And It shipped to Kentucky(USA).
Are the other games not releases on Switch yet? I have them all elsewhere, played enough to know I was liking it but not had the time for them. A Switch release would have been ideal.
@Sunsy Do not get the Super one. It is not fun.
@Incarna
Eh, I thought this was the best of the "Victory" games, so it doesn't bother me much to see Megadimension VII get a release over the Re;Birth games (which I thought were passable at best). Many of the issues I had with the Victory battle system since the first Victory on PS3 were fixed in Megadimension VII.
@TechaNinja
"Great game but without playing the earlier ones you don't know more about certain characters in it, hence it being a weird choice to bring out."
To be fair, a great deal of the titles in the franchise give you enough clues and info to figure out who is which and their backgrounds, for the most part...
@Tao
Only "Megadimension Neptunia VII" and "Super Neptunia RPG" (which I honestly wouldn't recommend, even under a "cent" sale) are on Switch, though how far Idea Factory/Compile Heart are willing to represent the series on this system has yet to be seen...
