This looks REALLY generic, it looks a lot like that mobile port Oceanhorn. Gonna pass on this, pretty sure I won't have much interest once I've got Diablo III in my hands.
I thoroughly enjoyed Graceful Explosion Machine and I like the visual style they've got going on here, but the gameplay looks extremely generic and the animations are VERY stiff looking. I'll have to wait and see how this one reviews, but so far it's looking like a pass.
@RandomLeo00 As @BulbasaurusRex said, it's really not bad at all, the substance of the game is for the most part in tact along with the Japanese cultural references.
@JayJ I agree 100%, the eShop has far outgrown the simple UI, categories and more feature sections would go a long way to improve things. Also, I think Nintendo needs to be a little more selective with the curation process. More to choose from is a good thing, but they really need to draw the line somewhere for what they would consider high enough quality to make it on board. I would really hate to see the eShop end up looking like the Google Play store or Steam, Nintendo can afford to be a little more choosy.
@GARF13LD If you're into good ARPG's, I can't recommend Ys VIII enough. I just got it yesterday, but I've already logged about 10 hours of gameplay and it seems like it will just keep getting better.
What in the heck is with this deluge of viking games for Switch? Seriously, there's about a dozen viking themed games on the eShop right now, indies are beating this to death.
@JLPick Do you actually know what Chiptune music is? The whole point is using oddball gadgets and circuits to make music, he's literally supposed to be a bit nerdy with his music.
I've played this game before. Last week my sister left her phone at my place after a visit. In the hour it took her to realize that her phone was missing and come back for it, I found out far more than I ever wanted to about her. 2/10, that game totally sucked!
@TheCurator If you understand what you're getting and don't let your expectations get away from you, it's a fantastic game. There's no story or even structured gameplay really, what you've got here is a raw aerial shooter that tasks you with grinding out a playthrough as far as you can before you inevitably die. Your goal is to unlock new planes and customizations so you can progress further with each subsequent playthrough, this is obviously where the "roguelike" part comes in. What keeps you going in this game besides the quest for unlucks and further progression is the outstanding control feel and brilliant dogfighting gameplay. This game won't be for everyone, some will call it tedious or boring, but if you're looking for some exceptional dogfighting that steadily ramps up the challenge, this is your game.
@Shiryu Sky Rogue will REALLY scratch your Ace Combat itch, albeit in a stripped back capacity without a story. I've got 50+ hours in on the PC version and you can bet I'll be double dipping, it's THAT good.
@DragonEleven There's literally almost NO Magikarp to be found where I live (Sacramento). In the past, I've travelled to San Francisco for the day to catch Magikarp at the pier, looks like that's what I'll have to do again.
@Shiryu I'm pretty sure Sega owns the rights to Space Marine now, I wouldn't mind seeing what they can do with it as far as a sequel goes, it was one of my favorites WH40K games in recent memory.
@Shiryu I thought the EXACT same thing within the first few seconds of the trailer... looks like Wings of Fury on steroids! Oh man, I sank countless hours into that game as a kid on the family's Apple IIe, this looks like a day-one purchase for me.
Looks like it's time to take the plunge, I never did get this on 3DS or Wii U, although I played Shantae on GBC back in the the day as well as Risky's Revenge on DSiWare.
Played this on Vita back in the day, I can confirm that it's very generic and uninspired. 6/10 is a fair score, I personally would have given it 5.5/10.
@sword_9mm Honestly, at this point I don't even think he has a Switch or ever had a Wii U. I think he's just a pissed off PS4 or Xbox player that's decided to make a life of pissing in the Cheerios of actual Nintendo players.
@Heavyarms55 Fair enough, I interpreted your comment as though you hadn't read the entire article. Fact of the matter is, I actually agree with you about mobile ports, which this appears not to be.
@Heavyarms55 Perhaps you should actually READ the article before bashing this as a "phone game port." The original game was designed with the Nintendo DS in mind but ended up being reworked and released on iOS. This game is a SEQUEL and designed from the ground up to be a Switch exclusive.

Best deal on that list is 30% off on Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. If you haven't played it and you're an RPG fan with a Wii U, you need to pick this up.
Re: Solve The Mystery Of Cycle 28 And You'll Get The Developer's Entire Game Catalogue For Free
The whole "Solve the Mystery and Win a Prize" part sounds far too much like a Peter Molyneux stunt to me.

Re: Review: Shelter Generations (Switch eShop)
I generally like the low-poly art style, but those awful textures just ruin the whole look, it's a washed out mess!

I'm not sure why it's surprising to see Fast RMX on that list, it's a fantastic racer even a year after release that still doesn't have a rival.
Re: Review: Clustertruck (Switch eShop)
I wish the review scores would reflect the value as well. Can anyone honestly tell me that this game is worth the current asking price?
Re: Re:Legend, Southeast Asia's Most Successful Kickstarter, Is Coming To Switch
