Following the most successful Kickstarter campaign to originate from Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur-based developer Magnus Games Studio will team up with publisher 505 Games to bring the genre hybrid world of Re:Legend to Nintendo Switch.
You'll set out on an adventure on Vokka Island in the land of Ethia, where you'll be tasked with starting a new life and finding a way to recover your lost memories. You'll set the stage for a grand odyssey as you learn to survive on the island by cultivating the land, befriending villagers, expanding and growing the village and raising your very own magical monsters, known as 'Magnus'.

It's part classic action-RPG, part simulation as you head to fight monsters (with you own Magnus by your side) while returning home to tend crops and maintain your plot of land. Think Stardew Valley with a little more bite. It's certainly grabbed our attention, although there's no firm date on a console release just yet. Here's a trailer from the Kickstarter to wet your whistle...
Does Re:Legend tick all the right boxes for you? Is it one to watch or one to avoid? Let us know in the comments below...

Looks great so far. I really need something to fill the void Rune Factory left behind
This looks very good, it mixes up a few genres and reminds me of Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Monster Hunter as well as some RPGs.
Yeah looking at that video I was definitely thinking Rune Factory more than Stardew Valley
I was thinking Ever Oasis as much as anything else! Whatever genre mash-up it is, it looks intriguing, but I’m wary about assuming that early-days Kickstarter builds are at all representative of the final game...
looks interesting enough. at least it's a kickstarter success story for once.
Yes!
Does the Re: added to every 2nd game and anime mean anything? Or do creators just think it makes their work look clever and edgy?
Supported this one on Kickstarter. Hoping it'll be a blast.
I'd like the looks of this a lot more if the characters had FEET! I can't stand this ridiculous footless art style, they're all peg-legs!
Why is this game only now being featured on NintendoLife? The timing seems incredibly off to me considering how long ago the campaign finished and how long it's been in development for. Myself and a couple of other backers have been speculating about the game coming in June at the earliest, in fact. So I'm just curious about the "why now"?
I longer I watched the trailer, the more it intrigued me. Might have to check this out. Is it online multiplayer? It looked like maybe.
Looks like a super up-res’d 3DS game. I like it
I'll bet the story has something to do with some super villain with a foot fetish who's stolen everyone's feet, and you have to hobble out into the world with just your legs, to try to get them back.
Got some Fantasy Life vibes from this. Will be watching this one closely.
Aaaawww...!!!
How Cute !

Actually, Re:Legend was used to be Legend of Lumina.

Legend of Lumina was developed by Magnus Games, indie developer from Malaysia during year 2016, but Cancelled due to lack of financial.

But after long hiatus, the New Publisher help Magnus Games (the creator of Legend of Lumina) to continue their project. Magnus Games decided to change the title into Re:Legend, represent their Renewal project based on their old project.
And meet the founder of Re:legend based on his Interview last time, DC Gan.
Excited about this as it gives me Fantasy Life vibes and that was an amazing game.

It was Nendoroid Chibi style leg. The leg looks so tiny like Nendoroid. Here is example of Nendoroid.

Look at their legs.
I need to know more about it, but it could be pretty interesting.
Gotta support our local game dev! Looks promising btw...
Looks great. My youngest son is neck deep in Stardew Valley so I'm sure he will love this. Will keep an eye on this one,
I wish I knew about this while it was still in Kickstarter days! I would have backed it.
This was confirmed to be coming to the Switch a long time ago, why are you reporting on it as if its brand new news now? All the game, I'm excited for the game, as a big fan of games like Rune Factory, this game looks like it will fill that void in my gaming space, since there hasn't been any news on a new Rune Factory game in quite some time.

Eh, i don't have Twitter account.
Just only Instagram & Deviantart. (Check my profile).
I don't take any request for Deviantart , but your request about Master Mummy, hm.... maybe i can consider, but i will draw with my Hand drawing style, not by CorelDraw X5. I can't promise how long it will be finished, but when it finished, i will put on my Instagram or Deviantart. Stay tuned.
@BensonUii
"A chibi Master Mummy using Triblasts on both hands if possible."
Okay.
I will start to draw.
I have to observe first the Triblast looking.
And you can have your Chibi Master Mummy for Free.
I can't wait for this game to hit the e-shop! Hopefully next year.
Isn't this just every popular japanese game ever all packed into one chibilicious package?
Riding on a ray, nicked from Pokemon.
