Re: Falco, Mewtwo, Mii Fighters & More amiibo Release Details Confirmed

Rafie

@JaxonH Don't have a Twitter account. Here in South Florida, the guys and gals were all over Dark Pit. When I went into Best Buy (2 of them here actually) both stores told me that when they opened, they sold out in a matter of 20 minutes. Some folks were waiting since 6 am for it and still didn't get it. I wish I knew when it was going live, I would have been ready. I never said that Best Buy didn't sell Dark Pit online, I said they don't preorder online. They told me themselves that it was first come, first serve basis.

Re: Falco, Mewtwo, Mii Fighters & More amiibo Release Details Confirmed

Rafie

@JaxonH Then that was the quickest sell out online for an amiibo. I waited for hours Best Buy to update it for release....nothing! So I guess when I gave up is when it was released. I waited at midnight to see if it would release...nothing. For an hour straight I was hitting that F5 button. Then I figured since Best Buy would be opening their stores at 10am, I would be able to snatch one online (couldn't physically be there due to work)....no avail. That's just another thing that sucks about being store exclusive.

Re: Falco, Mewtwo, Mii Fighters & More amiibo Release Details Confirmed

Rafie

@Spoony_Tech See that's the thing. Every retailer has their own way of distributing the product. Best Buy doesn't do online preorders or anything. It's first come, first serve. There isn't anything wrong with that, but when there's 75 people waiting in line and there's only 50 amiibos to boot...that's a problem. I'd rather have other options so that I could get a chance to get them. Nintendo is doing very good with Amiibos in Australia. My cousin lives there and he took a picture of a store that had damn near all of the rare amiibos (Lil Mac, Greninja, MetaKnight, Zero Suit Samus, Rosalina, and a ton more). I wish Nintendo would do North America like that. So yes I can see how it's an advantage to have store exclusive amiibos, but I also see a big disadvantage as well.

Re: GameStop Confirms amiibo 3-Pack Pre-Order Event This Weekend

Rafie

@arrmixer LOL I'm sorry man. I'm just glad that I know someone who would save amiibos for me. They've done it many times for me. As soon as King Deedede, Wii Fit Trainer, and Ness came in...they held them for me until I picked them up. Cool folks there

@aaronsullivan That's where I think NoA needs to step it up on what they're releasing, in terms of packs, supply, etc. I also believe they should stop with the exclusive retail releases. Every business has a way of how they distribute their products. I would love the option to be able to purchase elsewhere. Sometimes it takes the fun out of collecting them. I couldn't pick up Dark Pit because Best Buy did it on a first come, first serve basis with no internet purchases. So only the first 20 folks in the 54 person line was able to get it.

@ASonic3582 Believe it or not, the employees there collect them. Of course they would get what they want first and then contact those who are interested, then put the remaining ones up for purchase. I skipped out on things like Skylander and even Disney Infinity. I thought for sure no one would be that interested in amiibos. Boy was I wrong!!!

Re: GameStop Confirms amiibo 3-Pack Pre-Order Event This Weekend

Rafie

@Spoony_Tech Well Tech that's why you build a good rapport with Gamestop employees. I have at 4 stores here in South Florida. The manager has already called me and told me that he will save a reserve spot for me because he knows I love amiibos.

Still, I thought it was a bad idea to make this a 3 pack instead of individuals. Some people only wanted a specific character and didn't care about the others. The Mii brawler amiibos was the only other 3 pack that I thought was coming. Even that one isn't confirmed to be a 3 pack though.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U Gamers Have Been Treated Poorly By The Third-Party Retail Scene, But The System Still Brings Joy

Rafie

@JaxonH I always enjoy your responses. You're like one of the very few objective ones here. You see the beauty in the flaws and you don't downplay others. Surely you're an example to how some should conduct themselves with this "controversial" matter.

Anyway, agree and disagree with the OP. Sure it's f'ed up that 3rd party has turned it's back on Wii U. I mean REALLY jacked up. There are fans of the system that would enjoy those said games and play them in an environment where they don't have to deal with childish gamers who curses them instead of having fun. I get it! However, Nintendo can share some of that blame for not being aggressive enough and thinking they should just be entitled.

This subject keeps coming up from time to time and the results will always be the same. Unfortunately, Nintendo isn't in the position to just thinking they should automatically get these games. Time to negotiate.

Re: Star Fox Zero Marks An Explosive Return To Form On Wii U

Rafie

The graphics isn't the concern here, guys/gals. The game still looks good. I just want the gameplay to be smooth and innovative. It looks to be headed in that direction. So far, it looks like Nintendo has the best 1st party line up for the fall 2015. Very good indeed.

Re: Disney Infinity Producer Brands amiibo Stock Shortages "Irresponsible And Rude"

Rafie

Some of you are Nintendo apologists. Call them out when they are in the wrong. I do believe Nintendo purposely hold supply back for higher demand. It's not cool. They can easily make more amiibos if you see that the market is high for them. Also Nintendo needs to not make stores hold exclusive figures. Make it readily available to all.

The guy (Disney Infinity) had a good point. I'm upset with Nintendo with the handling of amiibos. They got to get it together here!

Re: Mighty No. 9 Signature Edition Will Not Be Available For Wii U

Rafie

Now I can't justify why this isn't coming to Wii U. Also to be honest, a lot of the PS4/Xbox backers don't care for the statue at all. Most of them claim that it looks too generic like a McDonald's toy. Their words, not mine. I'm not interested in it myself, but it's pretty damn stupid not to give the Wii U fans their chance at it.

Look on the bright side though, Mega Man Amiibo blows that statue out the water.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

Rafie

@JaxonH I keep forgetting the U.S. isn't the "entire world". Hehehe I always forget that Nintendo has to supply other countries with amiibos. Still, Nintendo should do a survey of sorts. Just to see what amiibos are needed most. I'm sure the Fire Emblem and Xenoblade series would get the most votes. Also the Kid Icarus series(although Palutena isn't out yet).

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

Rafie

@tsukipon Yeah I'm done. It seems we have folks that can't or won't conduct themselves in civil manner.

@Kami2Kami No one is embarrassed here. Well at least I'm not. You can't troll me. So if you're just trying to stir up trouble, then this conversation is done.

Re: Former Castlevania Producer Koji Igarashi's Kickstarter Launches, But Won't Come To Nintendo Consoles

Rafie

Well I have all 3 just so I don't miss games from anyone. Period. I don't do console loyalty. Just loyalty to the games. This is why you either get a Wii U/PS4 or Wii U/Xbox one...or maybe Wii U/PC. I keep adding Wii U because Nintendo games don't go to PC.

I understand that some of you are upset. I mean yeah, Castlevania started on Nintendo. At the same time, times were a lot different then. As far as Nintendo monopolizing whilst establishing a hardcore fanbase. Nintendo today (speaking generally about the Wii U) isn't the same as the Nintendo back then. As far as the relationships with 3rd parties that is. 3rd parties don't do well on Nintendo platforms anymore. It MAY have been a business decision seeing as they're a small studio that needed a kickstarter to get the game up to begin with. Just speculating though.

Re: Nintendo of America Apologises for amiibo Shortages and Promises More Re-Stocks

Rafie

@JaxonH I've been on my friend. I may comment here and there. Just not on every article. Anyway, thank you for the invite. I may take you up on that. I really want amiibos like King Deedede, Lil Mac, Fire Emblem char, Xenoblade char, etc. I NEED THEM!!!! LOL

@Spartacus3765 I want Jigglypuff so freaking bad when it drops. I know I won't be able to get it. I only was able to preorder the Splatoon 3pack.

Re: Konami Removes Its Listing from the New York Stock Exchange

Rafie

SOMEBODY QUICK!! Input the Konami code for infinite lives! Konami is going to need it after this last stupid decision to cancel "SILENT HILLS"....not the Silent Hill franchise altogether. Silent Hills (with an S) was the project with Kojima, Del Toro, and Norman Reedus. From the demo, P.T....it was shaping up to be a great game. Now Konami has been making decisions that doesn't seem favorable at all.
